Just stayed here for the weekend, the site was very peaceful, showers & washroom kept spotless. There's a main road nearby, however it didn't disturb our sleep at all. Coleford is a short walk with lots of useful shops, pubs & places to get food.

Had a lovely last minute stay here over the Bank Holiday weekend , lady who checked us in was super helpful giving us lots of guidance in local food and walks. Facilities were clean and tidy and showers were nice and hot.
Didn't notice any road noise dispite being at that end of that campsite.

If you're in an off grid camper bring your leveling blocks as the flatter pitches are reserved for those paying for mains hookup. Perfectly fine and to be expected.

Absolutely ideal for closeness to Cannop cycle centre, and saw a few other mountain bikers on site.

Will definitely be returning 😊

Simply WOW! This is a perfect site for a true camping family.....we stayed here for 5 nights in April and we all absolutely loved every second. The site has a heated shower block with free hot showers, indoor pot washing room with electric shaver points and a hairdryer all free, they were super clean and not crowded at all. There is also a large family shower room near the main house for the whole family to use all together which is great for a family with young children. Adrian and Margaret are extremely friendly and helpful, they welcomed us and even engaged with my girls over the horses, invited them to see the baby chick's that had arrived that day, even showed us around the stable block. Adrian told us all about the horses they have in the field next to our pitch. We are fairly new to camping but we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this site and as there is so much to do in the area we have booked to return in July, we are all excited to see the horses and farm dogs. I can't recommend this site enough.

Friendly, family-run campsite with extremely clean, well-maintained facilities. Both shared male and female toilets/showers as well as 2 private toilet/shower rooms. Signs throughout the facilities encourage use of wall-mounted hand sanitiser to help prevent the spread of germs, reassuring if taking a trip during the COVID-19 pandemic. Plenty of pitches, if wanting an electric hook-up then you need to book over the phone. Arrivals by 10pm latest, pitch-out by 12pm.

Great, convenient location a 5-10min walk from Coleford town and just on the border of Symonds Yat by heading in the opposite direction.

An exceptional camp site.
Adrian and Margaret are very welcoming, warm and friendly.
Adrian not only suggested a pub with good food but kindly drove us there too. That level of kindness is rare but remembered.
The camp site offers two fields for camping with electric hook up on many of the pitches.
The chickens are unusual breeds and are free to roam around but don't cause any issues.
There are several horses in the neighbouring field that are used to pull a carriage used for weddings and funerals.
There are plenty of level camping spots but some are slightly sloping.
The facilities are superb. A log cabin houses numerous showers, toilets and washing up area. The showers are the best I've seen on any camp site and are powerful and free. There's even radiators for the cooler months.
I can't rate this site highly enough.
Many thanks to you both. I'll be back soon!

Attentive owners who kept the place very clean. We had front field with sight of 2 lovely ponies and chickens wandering around. Very friendly couple of dogs also would appear occasionally. Bob was the kids favourite. Went for a good walk in woods and dip in river. Was fantastic! Definitely go there again!

Hidden gem! Really friendly, down to earth owners (Adrian & Margaret). Always willing to help when needed - they even helped me by jumpstarting the car upon leaving when it had run down through keys accidentally left in the ignition.

This is the third year we have camped and the location itself is great, with easy walking access to Coleford. There you will find some nice takeaways, pubs etc. A short walk in the other direction brings you to a pub called the Gamekeepers Inn. It was a lovely pub but this year, we did not feel welcome. I have included this in the review for anyone wishing to check it out after the whole Covid situation is winding down or over as it was brilliant two years ago.

The camping grounds are well maintained, with plenty of electric hookups and a drinking water tap in the middle. You may be limited on camping location on site if you require electric, but if not you can generally choose your location to set up so can be as social or secluded as youd like.

One of the highlights is actually the shower/toilet block. Rigorously clean and a very high standard. Always a nice warm shower available, regardless of the business of the site.

Pricing is highly reasonable for camping, even with electric hookup. The trip always feels fantastic value for money.

All in all, great experience and my friends (late 20's) and i will continue to return every year while it remains open. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent site. We stayed with a motorhome for only 1 night, no charge for dogs! The site is on a slope but pitches are all along the top and it is easy to find a good level spot. EHU pitches go up the site in a T shape so you're not all confined to the space nearest the house. Toilet and shower block was all combined so still closed during our visit. Elsan point clean and easy access. Based on a farm so great for the kids to see all of the animals too. Hosts are accommodating and hilarious! Would recommend! Thanks

Wonderful site with friendly owners, they accommodated our impromptu 8pm arrival! Excellent facilities in a lovely log cabin. The site is within walking distance to the town which has everything you might need.
Would love to come back soon!

Cute little campsite, lovely owners, good facilities with nice showers, affordable prices, and near to lots of things... Loved this place. Perfect if you want to avoid the big caravan holiday park type affair.

Lovely campsite with plenty of room. Spotless toilets and showers with recycling bins, water etc available. Plenty of EHU for those that need it. We stayed in our campervan. Adrian was lovely to chat to and very helpful, even giving us a lift to the local pub he'd recommended where the food was incredible!

Perfect camping experience! I often go camping and having heard good things about The Forest of Dean so packed my tent and off we went (husband and 2 young boys)! Thankfully we stumbled upon Rushmere Farm camping, the location is perfect, the owners were very helpful and friendly and it is exceptionally clean, also the showers are better than mine at home! What I particularly loved about the campsite was that it is also a working farm with hens clucking around (you can also buy the eggs) and it is bordered by the owners horses which adds to the pretty setting. There is so much to do around the surround area and I will definitely be returning (with my tent)!

Lovely place and no need for booking which saved our rabdom bank holiday adventure. Margaret was very lovely and helpful and camping grounds are close to Coleford centre and amenities are as expected for a smaller family run camping farm. Would recommend and would come back!

What a find! Stayed here for a week and it was perfect! This campsite is located in the centre of the Forest of Dean with a lovely new clean toilet and shower block, plenty of space and electric hook ups available. You can take a short walk into Coleford for a few take-a-way places, Tesco and a large Co-Op or walk to the rear of the fields that leads onto many walking trails that lead to Symonds Yat - (Definitely take a visit here also, stunning views!) This a is really amazing campsite run by very helpful people! Will definitely be coming back!!!!

Was doing a road trip around Wales, just needed to book into a Campsie for one night to have a nice shower and freshen up. The lady who we spoke to couldn't of been more helpful. Fortunately for us they only had one electric pitch because of a cancellation. We was soppossed to stay for one night and ended up staying for 3. Would definitely recommend this Campsite to anyone. They don't stop cleaning etc. Definitely be back there again.

Gorgeous little campsite, cute little chickens running around, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The facilities were always spotless, constantly topped up with hand wash, paper towels, washing up liquid and sponges, nicest campsite facilities I've seen ☺ Brilliant value for money, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Properly lovely campsite with walks and horses and chickens, great facilities and perfectly set up for social distancing! Not far from a great well stocked co-op in Coleford for ice and supplies, short drive (or bike) to the Forest of Dean for great trails, Symonds Yat for canoeing and lots of other attractions nearby. Stayed 4 nights and could easily have stayed much longer.
