YMCA Fairthorne Manor

Went to the young carers festival in 22, 23 and this year and it's amazing, the campsite is nice and I do enjoy coming here, to be honest I wanna volunteer every year when I get my driving licence to help with the young carers festival as I've had a lot of fun going to it.

I booked an evening of activities and a night of camping for my friends stag do. Gemma, the sales manager was excellent at helping me figure out which activities would work well for the group and made arranging everything a breeze. When it came to the activities Henry our activity leader went above and beyond. Everybody had an amazing time and it made for a fantastically memorable stag do!

We attended the Family Halloween Day today and had the best time. Our girls, aged 11 & 13 loved carving pumpkins, the games and Zip Lining in the rain! The spooky trail was great fun too, lots of crashing through the muddiest of puddles. Warmed up in the cafe with coffee and chips. All the staff were excellent and very personable and made our day great. We're looking forward to coming back to another event soon.

We go here every Year, since our boys turned 3, they are now 12. Great pitch 65 and 66, toilets and showers. Only gripe this year is we weren't told that the lake had been filled, (we usually canoe or kayak, and cool off since it was 35degrees, something we have always done. We manged to find a stream so kids could have a play. Great to be able to have a fire.

Our instructor Louis was amazing he gave us an amazing Axe throwing session and i would 100% recommend.

The Spooky Trail was the perfect trail for my two, energetic, boys! Just simply being at one with nature and walking in the beautiful grounds, with the added bonus of a quiz which the whole family could enjoy! Thank you Fairthorne Manor for another fab trail, we'll be back for the Christmas trail!

We had a lovely stroll around the woods for the Halloween walk.
We were given a check list of things to find.
Was all laid out great and the little one liked her little bag of sweets she won for completing it.
The brownie in the cafe was lovely.

Had a fantastic couple of days away with school children, kayaking, abseiling, jumping pillow,forest activities and camp fire. Such a beautiful location with lots to do,definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely brilliant daycamps for kids. Outside with laughter and learning and making new friends. Thank you to all the team at YMCA.

Excellent place in every way. My grandson went to Forest school here. We have camped on numerous occasions. My grandson has been paddle boarding, canoeing, zip wiring and much, much more. Lots to do here.5*

Great campsite. Very friendly whether coming as a couple, small group or family you'll have a terrific time. Staff very helpful. Site and facilities clean. Access to great outbound activities (we did kayaking and the jumping pillow). On site shop limited... But sells fresh stonebaked pizza 🍕🙂🙂🙂 Highly recommended... We've been twice in 12 months and will return again next year!

Absolutely brilliant time, like always. We love it at Fairthorne, so much to do and so family friendly. Only campsite I know that doesn't cram tents in. Even when fully booked, there's always lots of space. The staff are amazing too. So accommodating and always so friendly. Love it, we will definitely be back.

Great events and day camps for school holidays

One of the best places around for children, educational and fun. Visited when i was young and took younger family members there more recently. Lots of effort is put into the activities and it is good value for money. Complete freedom for the kids

Amazing place! Great for families and kids. Lots of activity camps and school holiday activity days. Lovely open campsite. Friendly team. Water activity area. Well run site.

Great halloween trail activity for the kids. Was very impressed at how interactive it was and extremely well thought out. Fab decorations. Good hot dogs and spooky baked treats, including mulled cider for the adults.

I have stayed here many times now, and I really enjoy staying there every time.
There is a brilliant, friendly atmosphere around the campsite, and the staff are both welcoming and helpful.
The bar is a great place to be in the evenings, and there are many games to borrow there including some ingenious Story Cubes which I hadn't heard of before!
There are some brilliant activities to get involved in during the day such as kayaking, climbing, aerial runway and fire lighting which are great for children and adults.
I would definitely recommend this place to other people, and I am sure that I will stay there again soon!

The team at Fairthorne Manor were all absolutely fantastic. Very helpful & attentive with both children and adults on all the activities. We all had a thoroughly good time.

They also made a huge effort to supply vegan dishes that matched the meat mains. I was very impressed, it was all super delicious, well done! We'll definitely be coming back again & can't recommend you enough.

Amazing place. Camped there on numerous occasions with my grandson. We were there yesterday for Survival Camp and Kayaking. 111 acres of beautiful woodland , streams , fields and a lake abundant with wildlife. No better place for children to absorb nature and be free.
