McCarthys Fruit and Vegetables

I love this family run grocery shop. Not as pricey as its competitors wetlands up the road and pretty much same produce. Also do beautiful floral displays and selling plants and pots throughout the year... Provide a wonderful service with locally sourced produce and pet and bird feed. You have to try the duck eggs!!!

This place had everything you could need, and more, including pet animal feed. Shop layout is neat and tidy and not cluttered... Nice and friendly staff.

Shopped here a couple of times whilst at Wickham music festival and found the prices good and very well stocked. Fresh fruit and veg was so tasty. Will shop there again and recommend to others.

I ordered flowers for our wedding anniversary and when they arrived the arrangement was beautiful! The colours were exactly as requested and it's now over a week since they were delivered and they are still gorgeous. Excellent service and very reasonably priced

McCarthys superstall is superb, super nice staff, super products, super local, super lovely fresh veg.

I have been visiting McCargthy's with my parents decades ago..
It's now our local shop and the fruit and veg quality has always been a very high standard at reasonable prices.
So much choice plus loads of options to pick up missing items for your meals.

Great local produce. Started going here again during the first lockdown and kept coming back once a week for my fruit and veg. They also stock other grocery items including all pets needs. Easy parking for all levels of physical ability with loads of extra parking around the side. Very nice pickled onions and pickling onions available.

Beautiful fresh fruit and veg displayed carefully. Great range of bird food and lots of interesting deli items. The most helpful and friendly staff too, a credit to the shop. Fabulous fresh eggs and so much more!

I've been shopping at my local fruit and veg shop for at least 30 years. They do good local produce plus.... logs, coal, kindling, jams, chutneys, books, flowers, plants, bulbs, from flour to pasta, wreaths to strings of French onions, dog food to parrot food... and don't forget cake!! ... you can get it here

Always has shelves stacked with quality & fresh vegetables. Not overpriced like some either. I would say it’s the best in the area for sure! Lots of variety. Thank you! :-)

A cornucopia of fruit and veg all locally sourced plus flowers, fuel and a great range of pet supplies. Lovely fresh eggs. Prices are good and everything generally packaging free.

Delivered a veg box to us at short notice during the CV outbreak. Contacted us as payment wasn't clearly visible to them, resolved quickly. Advised the box would be delivered a day late due to this which was no problem for us but it actually arrived early that evening. The box itself was brimming with a fantastic selection of quality fruit and veg, no plastic and great value for money. We have shopped for our veggies in McCarthys before but will be sure to make this a regular weekly order from now on.

Lots of fruit and veg on offer, and all reasonably priced. Also offers most things you'd expect to find in local convenience stores, and has a small outside area for flowers and gardening supplies.
