We love going here for a dog walk! The subtle climb leads to the most amazing views! Steeped in history and beautiful surroundings, you can't go wrong! Free parking and different paths you can explore.

One of the best hiking experiences around this area, there’s so much to discover for everyone, I specifically loved walking around the Hill-Fort historical site. Amazing views too! I strongly recommend this place especially for families.

Very wet, windy and muddy walk but we all enjoyed it and got our steps up! If it’s been raining, wellies are a must ;)

Very pretty and picturesque, stunning views. Just be aware on Google maps there are two points showing Old Winchester Hill, one point is for the photos and the second point is where you find the stone centre point. I love to explore, hence I did not miss both spots.

Absolutely tranquil place with stunning views. The place has plenty of trails to walk along or if you prefer you can ride on a bicycle in some parts. I visited on a lovely warm day with lots of sun and I took some amazing photos. Parking (where I parked anyway) is free too, so that is a nice bonus.
Do you love green hills, trees scenic views and lots of sheep? If you do, then this place is definitely for you.

Great for bird watching and the views obviously. Gets very busy the car park tho . When you go on less busy time it is remarkable tho . The wildlife you get to see is amazing . Trying to photograph them on camera is hard work but that what makes it fun.
You also sometimes get the take away food and drink van guy who parks up in the lay-by just alongside the old Winchester hill , so if you’re lucky you can grab a cuppa after your walk.
Thank you

Worth the walk, but fairly steep near the top.Be careful if it's been wet! Spectacular views (better than Beacon Hill) but even though it was a cloudless day there was too much haze to see the coast. Found the start of the trail from E Meon hard to find.

Ancient 3800 year old hill fort with well managed paths and great signage. Plenty of parking, lots of cycle and walking routes as it lies on the south downs way. Coffee can in car parks on Sundays.

Fantastic! Definitely worth the visit!
There are a few hidden benches to enjoy the view just opposite to the disabled car park.

An ancient hill fort set on top of the South Downs.
There are plenty of beautiful walks with the most stunning scenery.
On the A32 take the turning opposite the George & Falcon pub & drive up the narrow lane until you come across a free car park on your right.
From the top you can see over to Farley Mount, the New Forest, the cranes at Southampton Docks, the chimneys at Fawley, the Solent, top of the Spinnaker tower, Portsdown Hill & over to Chichester Harbour in the east. You also can see Beacon Hill at Highclere in the north.
There are many walks to take, long or short & take in the views.

Gentle hike to the hill, magnificent views and fluffy sheep. Bring your wellies during winter/after rain as trails get pretty muddy. Very windy at the top....

Great walks and brilliant views. The walking is generally good going and not too muddy even in winter. The carpark is easy to get to an very close to the walks and there's a sign which says that some walks are disabled friendly. Take this with a pinch of salt.
Parking can be difficult at weekends and other busy periods as it fills up quite quickly.
There's no toilets and I've yet to see a bin which is a pain if you walk dogs as I do.

Lovely area of natural beauty. Gentle walk up the hill to see wonderful, far reaching views towards the coast. Voluntary donation for parking, otherwise free. Only downside - no toilets.

A great place for walking, especially as the South Downs Way footpath passes through here. There is also an Iron Age hill fort at the top of the hill.
