Amazing place!! Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Pool was beautiful- no jacuzzi but steam room and sauna were lovely- changing rooms were large too! Food was amazing and there were plenty of places to sit and relax

Really lovely time the drinks were a bit expensive though, the massage was lovely really helped relax us. The pool was very nice not the cleanest but fine for a relaxing swim. The food was lovely and breakfast staff were doing there best to keep up with demand.

Top-rated by us as the rooms are large & comfy with tea & coffee making facilities, cosy beds & bedding, a desk & comfy upright chair for working or make up, two bucket chairs with side table for relaxing & shower over bath in a good-sized bathroom with divine complimentary Elemis toiletries.
We actually used the hotel as a base to visit friends & family in Southampton & found it's convenient location, plentiful parking & quiet countryside setting blissful after a day out.
We've stayed before & would stay again. The staff are friendly & really happy to help. The swimming pool, steam room & sauna are complimentary for guests with free towel usage & locker storage. The sauna was pleasantly warm but not as hot as a sauna should be.
Location-wise it was surrounded by countryside & still enjoys a peaceful, wooded position; however there's a lot of new housing development in the area which is making it more suburban. The roads in the area gave improved markedly though as a side benefit to this.
Of interest to visitors wanting some retail therapy, there's a massive Next Home & sofa stores as well as a huge M&S department store next to a Sainsbury's supermarket about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. The site is called Hedge End & is off the M27.
It's a beautiful part of the world, we found people really friendly. The hotel was cheaper than a Premier Inn we used earlier in this break, £108 for 2 nights room only. Fantastic value.

This hotel was fantastic. Incredibly comfortable room with superb service. Absolutely fantastic staff, made it a pleasure to stay. Note that the rooms are a bit of a walk from reception and no elevators. Restaurant very much goes for quality over quantity - a smaller menu range than you may expect but each dish is prepared and served to absolute perfection. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Just had a wonderful spa day.Treatment done by Leanne was absolutely amazing. All staff very friendly and professional, swimming pool steam room and sauna very clean .Afternoon tea was delicious. Will definitely be going back

Went for the 3 nights spa retreat, the best decision for our long weekend! Service was excellent, the spa manager even called me in the morning to remind me and double checked our bookings. Food was amazing, never regretted the decision to just stayed and dined in the their restaurant. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We very much enjoyed our experience at Macdonald Botley.

Had a lovely night's stay. The rooms we booked were all we needed and very clean. The pool was a bonus. Enjoyed the potato cakes for breakfast. Will return.

Went for the amber spa day treatment. The staff at the spa reception were very very nice and friendly! The massage with Aysun was absolutely amazing and very relaxing! The pool and leisure facilities were great! Pool was nice, warm and quiet! Definitely recommend it!

Lovely hotel. room perfect. Food lovely We left car at hotel as we were going on a cruise. They ordered a taxi there and back ..all very efficient..would go back next time we sail from Southampton docks.

We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a suite which was lovely. Everything was lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar prices were very expensive though!

Some parts of the hotel are dated but does not effect your stay.
Staff were very pleasant spotlessy clean, breakfast was very nice after reading a few bad comments, staff were very good food was always topped up and hot the area wasalways being kept clean. Our break was very enjoyable .

We had a fab stay at the resort. And the treatments we received were great- the ladies in the spa were lovely and very friendly.

Room was spacious and comfortable with 2 adults and 2 children. Staff were polite and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of the facilities or explore the area.

Me and my partner went for a relaxing spa weekend and we couldn’t of been more relaxed and satisfied. The hotel was just stunning and the staff made our stay even more so magical and a all round lush weekend. One lady in particular who was working behind the bar was so friendly and her customer skills where just fab. They where all being so helpful and respectful. The room was amazing and very clean. Literally had everything we needed and more from extra towels, iron board/iron, hair dryer, tea/coffee etc. Such an wholesome experience and would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone. We will be definitely be returning very soon and just to top it off, the whole weekend was such a reasonable price too. 5 STARS ALL ROUND. Perfect for a couple get away.

Awesome service.
We used and loved their stay and sail service for our cruise and its Awesome.
We were on our P and O ship within an hour of leaving the hotel.
Let's be honest with you, the rooms are tired however it's still a great place.
The staff are truly exceptional and really care about your stay.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff.
Myself and my partner found the room to be fantastic and clean. The on-site spa facilities were just what we needed for a lovely relaxing stay.
We arrived a little early so parked up and walked to Botley village and mill for a spot of lunch, a beautiful little village about half an hour's walk from the hotel.
Would highly recommend for a quiet, chilled stay.
