Took 2 of the children we childmind to Marwell over the weekend, they absolutely loved it as the variety of animals means something would keep them occupied in addition to the play parks which they loved.
It's easy to take a double buggy around and lots of places to stop.

Fabulous visit, with very good additions since my last visit 3 years ago. My favourite was Dali, the monitor lizard. Big thank you to the lovely young lady, who answered my many questions 😊👏

It's not the cheapest day out but it's worth it. The zoo is very well looked after, animals seem happy, and the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Prepare comfortable shoes because you'll walk a lot! It's also good to have your own picnic but if you don't want to do that there are ice cream stands, 1 cafe and a restaurant on the grounds. Important info- it's best to buy your tickets in advance online. Thank you for making this experience enjoyable Marwell Zoo! 🌸

I can't recommend this zoo highly enough.
They have amazing animals, and such wonderful enclosures for them all. You can tell that they've all been designed with the utmost care and consideration for the comfort of the animals.
The staff are always kind, and enthusiastic to share their knowledge about the animals that they care for.

We really enjoyed looking around this Zoo and its tropical house which was lovely to venture into... As you enter straight away you feel the lovely hot and humid environment, which is keeping all wonderful plants and animals in a place that they thrive in....There were many species of birds around, many singing beautifully but they were very hard to spot.....There were also the ground dwelling birds which could be seen easily...There was a tropical pond with lots of fish to be admired through glass windows on the side of the pool......Hiding up in one of the trees was the resident Sloth in he's lovely peaceful setting.....👍

Busy in the school holidays but still able to find quiet spaces and see the animals. The toilets are always clean and the staff are so friendly.

Fantastic addition to the park.
Take time walking around, and you will get to see a lot of the animals.
The sloth now has free range around the enclosure via ropes, do check out all areas.

Café in main shop is small and has hot/ cold drinks and snacks.
Main restaurant is at the other end of the park and does hot food.
Needs a bit more vegetarian and vegan options though.

Lots to do and see, and there's a lot more to be done with further expansion plans.

Brilliant zoo, well worth the money with so many different things to see and do. Glad that the land train is up and running but do miss the old train that they used to have! Plenty of animals to see but you may have to be patient as the enclosures are quite big (good to see to be honest) food and drink etc is quite expensive but to be expected, we paid £15 for 5 ice creams (they were lovely mind you!) Well worth visiting and we will definitely be back ...... Again!

Super day out. Even the footpaths etc were clean and good for walking despite wet weather. Plenty of room for animals and humans. Fair price for an excellent venture.
Many novel and beautifully designed exhibits for all concerned.

Had a great day out with the grandchildren. Staff are very helpful and polite. Just loved the atmosphere and calm. Thoroughly recommend visiting Marwell and actually got close up to the sloth.

We've been here a couple times now and have enjoyed our visits both times. The zoo is spacious and a great place for the kids to run around. It's clean, tidy and a lovely day out. Try and bring a packed lunch if you can as the charges for food are fairly high.

It was a beautiful day, but a lot of animals were not in there areas, or they were sleeping, and we could hardly see them.
But apart from that we had a thoroughly enjoyable day .

I visited on 16-08-2022 What a lovely day out.
It wasn't to crowded so you had the opportunity to see everything.
There are lots to see to much to mention, oh They have dinosaurs made out of lego dotted around the whole complex. Beside each dinosaur it gives you a breakdown of how many people worked on it to complete how many pieces were used, how many hours it took. The children are given a map and they have to find the dinosaurs dotted all round the zoo which makes it quite interesting for them.
Plenty of food stands dotted around the Zoo and picnic area if you prefer to bring along your own.
The Zoo has a little train or bus at a cost of £2.00 per person to drive you around the whole place if you have mobility difficulty.
Ample parking and a fair amount of toilet which was clean regularly. Worth a visit.

Lovely zoo with lots of space for the animals. Numerous playgrounds for children with age appropriate guidance on each of them. We were impressed with the many picnic tables located throughout the park, with some available under cover in picnic sheds. Cafes also around if you wish to buy snacks/meals there. All the staff were friendly and helpful - particularly in the Tropical House where were incredibly lucky to see the sloth at close (but careful) range. There was a land train (at an extra fee) which is useful for less mobile visitors.
The vouchers automatically issued for a return visit within 7days are great - we saw much that we had missed on the second visit and I hope the zoo management continue with these. Highly recommend a visit for all ages.

Nice zoo. Liked the animal enclosures. Shame we couldn't see the penguins and tigers. Was clean and there was plenty of toilets around the site.

Brilliant day out, family of 4 tickets available.
Took the kids on good Friday, was a lovely day took a picnic. There's loads of places to stop of for lunch, so many different animals to see. Kids loved the walk through enclosures.

Free road train was fab when the kids where tired of walking as well.
