A nicely presented Roman site with remains of a bath house and guest house. The site is owned by the National Trust and managed by English Heritage, which is why the same place appears on both websites - that wasn't clear to me before I visited! The small museum is free but only open on some days - check before you travel. The volunteers staffing it were very friendly and informative, and helped me enjoy my visit. Strongly recommended for an insight into Roman activity in this area.

We visited on a misty Sunday out of season, so the museum was shut. However, entrance to the site is free in reasonable daylight hours, and there are plenty of interpretation boards around the site. These are informative, but not as good as I have seen at other English Heritage sites. Probably time for a revamp! It was nice to see that the 'Friends' have provided some lovely flower borders at the entrance. In addition to the Roman ruins, a stand by the car park sells leaflets for 20p which provide a guided walk around the area. We very much enjoyed this and would have done so even more had the weather not deteriorated to heavy rain. We will come back again on a nicer day after we have done some background reading!

Really fab site. Great to see the ruins and read the various information signs placed around it. It was lovely and peaceful, with stunning views of the countryside.

The museum is small, but has a good range of artefacts and stonework to view. It's all free to enter.
The 2 people manning the museum were welcoming, approachable and friendly.
They were very knowledgeable and great to chat with.
The site itself has steps to get into the field so isn't wheelchair accessible, but the museum is.

Parking is great, plenty of spaces and no charges. There are also some picnic benches under a shaded area next to it.
The site has 2 walks to do. One at 1.3 miles and the other at 2.4. There is a helpful map in the car park and plenty of signs to point you in the direction you want to go.

Dogs are welcome but please pick up after them! A bowl of water is left outside the museum, which is a lovely touch.
So many places are very anti dog and it was awesome to find somewhere that accepts them. I will be back with my own 2 for another visit. They will love a walk around the trails.

It's a beautiful place so be responsible, tidy up after yourselves and be respectful to the villagers!

Interesting place to visit. Handy leaflet for 20p in the honesty box, which gave you a couple of walks to follow giving you detailed info at points along the way. Great scenery and despite its proximity to the motorway, lovely and peaceful. Interesting ruins with information boards at the different areas. Unfortunately the museum was closed which was disappointing but we unfortunately picked the wrong weekend to visit. Hopefully be back another time to take a look inside.

What an amazing hidden gem! Thoroughly enjoyed the views and walks. Plenty for the little ones to do, with the use of their imagination and climbing skills!

Lovely little place to go. The museum was interesting and had a few thing there u could hold. And the Romans wall was really good to walk around. My kids love adventuring around on and off the walls. Really lovely place.

The guides are so friendly here and helpful. Really felt welcomed. Great plaques up detailing about the different areas of the baths. This site is English Heritage but you can visit with your National Trust card. The museum next to the site has some interesting artifacts found at the site like the dice made of bone. It's a great place to visit with little children as they can have a good romp. There is a small car park but it fills up quicky. There is free parking on the nearby roads. Would recommend a visit.

Not a huge place to visit but a very lovely place set in the village of Wall extensive ruins of Roman baths and a Roman mansion. Plus a lovely sign posted walk . Well worth a visit there is also a little museum but unfortunately that was closed. Situated on the famous Roman road Watling street .

Amazing place to visit! Incredible how you can see the daily lives of a community laid out from so long ago.
The site is well looked after with informative boards. Free parking around the corner is helpful.
Encourage anyone in the area to spend some time there. I live fairly local and it felt like a little afternoons holiday.

With good structure to receive visitors. Roman buildings dating from the 2nd century are the main attraction of the place, it is also worth a visit to the small Baptist church that is just behind the Roman ruins.

Visited during the UK pandemic lockdown so the museum and church both closed, even so it's well worth a look
Its a huge site and very beautiful

The Roman remains that are left are clear and well maintained. The excellent boards explain what each room was used for with illustrations. The village above is also worth the walk and we carried on to complete the walk beyond Wall.

Well preserved ruins to explore with informative boards explaining their purpose. A great site tucked away in the countryside. Definitely worth spending half an hour here along with the nearby museum. It's all free. We just parked on the road in Wall without any issue.

Called in mid week and had the place to ourselves although the car park was full of car that had obviously been there for a more than 24 hours. I suspect from local houses.

Me and my wife went here on Sunday to look around the site, it was so quiet and only four people looking around it.

Tranquil. Amazing to think the Romans trod the same ground. Beautiful little place. We loved it and will definitely visit again.

On a cold (but sunny! ☀) day, this was a lovely visit and short walk. Atmospheric, attractive, and very well kept by the 'friends' group. Great signage and info boards/leaflet bringing the past back to life, even for a short while. Will visit again once the museum is open again, but will also seek out the online virtual tour.
