Called in whilst on a visit to do a local pet sit. We had a breakfast sausage and bacon sandwich, a brie, bacon and cranberry sandwich, a cornflake cake, a fruit scone, two cups of Americano coffee and a Ginger tea. Delicious.

The tables were busy and a couple of local ladies asked if they could share our table. No problem! Everyone is very friendly. Recommended if you are M-in-T.

PS. The cakes looked incredible, especially the Lemon Meringue which was about a foot tall.

Very friendly cafe. We popped in on one occasion for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Both drinks were good. I also grabbed breakfast here one morning and it was very tasty.

Visited for light lunch. Delighted to see my favourite beans on toast! Delicious and presented lovely. Followed with a slice of cake which was lovely too. This is a fab cafe, welcoming staff, all home made food. So many places get it badly wrong - this is not one of them! Highly recommend if you are in Middleton in Teesdale.

We stopped here for takeaway lunch. Greeted by a lovely guy on arrival. We had cheese and pickle sandwiches which were lovely! The fruit scone and Victoria sponge cake also very good. Would definitely return.

Good service. Came her for morning coffee with a friend. They had a good selection of homemade cakes, traybakes and scones. The coffee was excellent and I enjoyed the lemon drizzle, but it was hard to choose. It was a great experience so I came back for a light lunch of bagel, scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Perfectly made and presented.

We love to drop in for tea and cake/lunch after a walk in Teesdale. The deli is great. The staff are a lovely friendly team, very efficient and attentive. The cakes are some of the best we have had with some unusual flavours. Expect a large portion! The carrot and coffee and walnut cakes were very freshly made with lots of flavour. We sat outside in the sunshine. It's a very friendly cafe, so expect to strike up conversations with customers, local or visitors. A real gem which is worth searching out in this attractive small Teesdale town.

Excellent cafe for breakfast or lunch. We both had the Ploughman's platter, which was excellent, and to be recommended as uses locally sourced and quality ingredients. Friendly team on duty, too.

This cafe is a regular visit for me, it's perfectly situated in the centre of the village, with on street parking as well as a smaller car park opposite. There's also a longer stay car park just down the road.

The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting) although due to the size, it can get busy and fill quickly.

There is a great selection of drinks and food, as well as local produce from breads through to cheeses and pies.

The staff are very friendly and always welcoming.

I like to park my motorbike outside, enjoy a coffee and scone in the sun and generally relax!

Everything about this cafe is top drawer
I went for a ride out because the weather was better after all the rains of February, I was attracted to the Cafe it looked interesting upon looking through the window I spotted good looking home made cakes.. Well these are exceptional cakes if you have good taste and also the earl grey tea was so good I had carrot cake it was also perfect and cheesy topped. The owner and the two girls serving were so sweet .. They deserve a food/cafe Oscar They are my nomination
Other customers had wholesome looking homemade dishes not ordinary way above..
I am Norman owner of the Georgian Window Durham

Lovely sunny afternoon sat outside, service by the lady serving food exemplary. Sandwiches, accompaniments and cakes the best I have had in a longtime. I must mention the softest bread :) .

Limited seating inside and out but it was open on Wednesday when other places were closed. Ordered the Ploughman lunch and it was delicious. Staff were friendly and the food was of good quality and well-presented.
