Alice is a fantastic mountaineering guide, she is extremely personably and incredibly knowledgeable. She was quick to assess my technical ability levels and tailored a 2 day course which was perfect for what I wanted. She made me feel safe throughout, and went above and beyond, giving me extra little bits of useful info here and there. I came away feeling very satisfied and I can’t wait to book another course or guided trip with her soon

My son, niece and I spent two days with Alice learning to trad climb and had an amazing time. I climbed a very long time ago but never had any proper training and my son and niece had been indoor climbing for about 6 months and wanted to learn the skills to climb outdoors. We all wanted to learn how to be safe as we venture out onto real rock. Alice tailored her training to perfectly meet our needs and learning speed. Her approach is so calm and confidence inspiring and her enthusiasm for the outdoors is contagious. We covered a huge amount in the two days. The day after the course we were confident enough to safely climb by ourselves a Tryfan Bach and have since been to Swanage and the Gower to put our new skills to the test. Alice provided the foundation on which a lifetime of climbing and skills development will be based and we cannot thank her enough for her time and knowledge shared.

Worth her weight in gold! Alice is one of the most positive, knowledgeable and wonderful instructors to be around. She tailors each course to your specific needs and skillset, making any time spent with her an absolute asset, regardless of level.

My brother & I booked a couple day rock climbing course with Alice in July and it was such a good experience! The courses are crafted specifically to the skills we needed to learn to go more independently up the rock. She’s the most fun and caring person & makes it so enjoyable. My family and I had a wonderful days climbing with Alice this summer. My 4 year old daughter had never been on real rock before and she was able to create a tailor made day to ensure she had the best intro to climbing and scrambling and most importantly build her confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Alice is without a doubt the best instructor I've had the pleasure to do a course with! Having started indoors, Alice has enabled me to start my outdoor journey; from single-pitch trad, multi-pitch and recently even some experience in the Scottish winter. Her experience and expertise means that the courses are bespoke to your needs and are fun and jam-packed with information. Not only the textbook knowledge but tonnes of tips and tricks are sprinkled in along the way that means you're safe and efficient in the many situations you'll find yourself in on the mountains. There is so much to learn and I'll 100% be doing further courses when the oppertunity arises and recommending her courses to anyone that will listen!

Alice is one of the calmest people I’ve ever met, the first time I climbed with her I hadn’t climbed for a while but she made me feel completely at ease and boosted my confidence.

Alice is versatile and quickly adapts the course to suit abilities, weather, preferences and even the needs of my young puppy!

There is no ego with Alice, she just wants you to enjoy your time wherever you are and it’s all about having fun. She’s also a wealth of information and knows all of the best places to go.

Alice was/is really good at making everyone feel comfortable and confident at the skill they are at.

She tailors what she is saying and teaching to you. Even with good techniques you helps you tweak it and understand why that helps.

Alice provided an excellent winter skills weekend. Initially, the course friends were on was fully booked, but she kept my details and contacted me when someone had dropped out.
Her teaching was clear and easy to follow, while her local knowledge meant we were able to find good conditions for practice of skills.
She tailored the course to go at the speed that was suitable for everyone, and clearly explained and demonstrated new skills.
Although I didn't need to hire any equipment, she was able to supply what was needed to those who did.
I would certainly use and reccomend Alice for future courses.

Alice is one of the loveliest and most supportive instructors in the world. You can’t help but feel safe around her, as nothing is a big deal and all your achievements are celebrated. I have been on two if her courses and would go back time and time again. I have learnt so much from Alice, my confidence has skyrocketed and I truly recommend her to everyone I meet. It doesn’t matter where you are in your climbing/mountaineering or running journey, Alice meets you there.

Alice and Archie the wonder dog are the absolute best. We spent a couple of days with them in Wales on a learn to lead climbing course. She geared each session around our existing skills base and took us at a pace that was challenging but manageable. After the two days we felt confident to go out on our own and put what we'd learnt into practice. Alice is also proper sound company, and any time spent with Archie in the hills is a joy. Alice is a truly wonderful instructor and person. She is skilful at balancing that enigmatic quality of making you feel super safe and in control whilst having a relaxed and approachable manner. Alice organised instructors for our climbing club 'Skills Weekend' over a busy Easter 2023. We had 8 climbers in total (4 novices and 4 more experienced climbers). Alice's instructors gave us all a great weekend, the novices getting an intro to trad climbing and 2 other instructors with our experienced climbers working through consolidating skills on a list of techniques (anchors, belays, guide mode, rescue techniques, falling on placed gear etc). Everyone had a great weekend, learning plenty of new stuff and are all now enthusiastic about getting back out on the rock and using the new skills.
