It is amazing to walk around. It has benches that allow you to sit and eat when you watch the birds just be careful they don't take your food. You can also feed the ducks while you watch them just don't feed them bread. You can walk down to the village to get food from one of the many shops if you don't bring your own as its a 5 minute walk. It is close to a busy road however so it can be loud during rush hour and busy times.

North pond has plenty of mallards, coots, moorhens, tufted ducks, swans and sometimes canadian geese and the occasional cormorant and grey heron. There is also a small population of khaki campbells. There are a number benches and a couple of picnic tables as well as a footbridge that allows you to be get away from the main road.

Lovely place to stroll around and to go through the centre of the village in order to make it a circular route. You can also include Bishop's Waltham Abbey if you wish.

Relic of a flight of medieval fish ponds once owned by the Bishop of Winchester, the open water and surrounding trees are valuable for breeding waterfowl in spring and a pleasant recreational space for local people.
