Kelly Duffy Adventures

If you’re thinking about booking an adventure with Kelly, do it as you won’t regret it. I signed up to the Welsh 3000 challenge as an injury had prevented me from the sport I enjoy playing and I needed a challenge. The whole booking process was easy and Kelly kept us informed at every step and provided example fitness plans etc. I had lost a lot of my fitness but this gave me something to focus on and I soon got out walking here, there and everywhere. I explored many parts of North Wales I hadn’t seen (even though I’ve lived here my whole life) and walked with friends that I probably never would have if it wasn’t for this challenge. So already I was onto a winner! There were nerves leading up to the weekend but Kelly was more than happy to answer our many questions. She then made the whole weekend easy and enjoyable…all we had to do was keep our legs moving! Kelly led us over Crib Goch and Tryffan which thanks to her knowledge and calmness I thoroughly enjoyed. The third day we were hit with very poor visibility but yet again Kelly had the skills to get us from summit to summit even in the tricky conditions. She celebrated every summit with us and definitely felt the emotion with us at number 15!! This is a weekend I will always remember thanks to Kelly and the group of girls I was lucky to be with! You’ve inspired me to keep trying new things, so thank you! Looking forward to our next adventure together!

Wow. What a day. Tryfan northern ridge was a bucket list scramble we were wanting to take on for some time. Just not 100% confident after seeing and reading reviews.
Booked Kelly for a guided grade 1 scramble and so glad we did. Was such a great day on a scramble that holds such a reputation. Best decision.
Kelly made the scramble fun, with her natural relaxed and happy personality, great knowledge and perfect climbing pace.

Amazing day scrambling Tryfan north ridge with a friend and our two boys age 9 and 10. Myself and my son were complete beginners Kelly was patient and calm and naturally adjusted the pace and route as we went assessing what we were comfortable with whilst still encouraging us to be a little brave. She was great with the boys encouraging on the way up and distracting them when they were tired on the way down. Will definitely do another climb with Kelly in the future. Jenny (Cheshire)

Such a fabulous experience doing the Welsh 3000 with Kelly and a lovely group of ladies! 3 tough days of walking with a little bit of scrambling! As a nervous and inexperienced scrambler Kelly and the other guides were patient and kind, encouraging and guiding this old lady up (and down!) Some stunning hills! I didn't find it easy! It was defiantely a challenge for me but well organised and felt supported all the way! Thanks Kelly!

Absolutely fantastic day in the mountains walking the Machlyn loop, in the Glyderau, with four peaks covered including one of the Welsh 3000s, Elidir Fawr 924 mtrs. Kelly, our mountain leader had us prepared for all weathers, just as well as we were lucky enough to experience the first half of the day in rain, wind and fog and the second half in the most beautiful sunshine which led to the incredible views of some beautiful mountains all around including Snowdon and Tryfan and much more, plus views out to Holyhead and Puffin Island. I would never have gone out in the pouring rain and fog on my own, but with Kelly leading us, it was a breeze and I am so glad to have walked in the mountains in that kind of moody weather. When it came to Elidir Fawr, out second peak, I couldn't quite believe we would be walking up to the top on rocks on top of rocks, but nothing at all to fear Kelly explained exactly what to do, and all of a sudden it was manageable. The rest of our group, that happened to all be ladies, were fabulous, it felt like a real team achievement at the end of the day. If you have never done anything like this before, this is the one to do, and with Kelly you are in the best possible hands. A huge thank you again to Kelly for an absolutely perfect day. ❤🏴??????😎👌

Having done a little bit of scrambling in the Peak District with my son (9yrs), we were both keen to scramble Tryfan. Despite spending a lot of time in our local fells I have limited mountain experience and very amateur navigation skills so decided to find a guide to take us for our first Tryfan North Face scramble. It turned out to be the best decision to make, especially as I was taking my son with me. Kelly made the day feel very safe but also extremely fun.
A couple of sections got the heart racing a bit, however Kelly’s experience and calm manner made it all feel really achievable. We were absolutely buzzing after the experience and will definitely be booking more adventures with Kelly again.

I signed up for the Snowdon 3000 Challenge because I wanted to do something different for myself, and it was absolutely worth it. The challenge was tough, but Kelly was brilliant throughout. She provided us with preparation guides detailing the physical training we needed beforehand, and her organization didn’t stop there. Kelly also gave us a detailed itinerary, outlining where we were going and how long each segment would take. Additionally, she sent a comprehensive list of the equipment and food we would need for the day.

The team was extremely encouraging and supportive. Kelly even organised car parks, transportation and sleep arrangements, making it easier to be part of this amazing challenge. It was truly life-changing, and I absolutely loved it. Amazing guide!

I've been on a few adventures with Kelly now and have loved each experience.
Walking, climbing, scrambling whatever takes your fancy, she's got you covered.

I felt safe and relaxed every time, especially going up Tryfan, as there is no clear path to see for the uninitiated.

There's been driving rain, howling winds, rainbows and blazing sun and through it all Kelly makes sure the whole group is ok and smiling.

Ladies only Welsh 3000 challenge - definitely not one to underestimate but had one of the best weekends full of laughter, snacks & determination. Kelly made sure we were fully prepared and the whole weekend ran smoothly!

Booked the basic and mountain navigation course and sooo glad I did! Both days complimented each other really well. Kelly was amazing, explained everything so clearly and was patient with us all. I couldn’t recommend her and these two navigation days highly enough. Can’t wait to try out my new skills. Next challenge booked with Kelly is the Welsh 3000’s! 💪🏻

Kellys planning for this event was amazing, everything worked perfectly. Over the 3 days was ideal as it provided a challenge but also time to enjoy the stunning scenery and team laughs along the way. Would highly recommend, you won't regret signing up. Make sure you have a decent level of fitness so you can get the best out of it. Still buzzing!!!

Afternoon , I would highly recommend Kelly Duffy Adventures, I have never been rock climbing and I wad so nervous about giving it ago. I am so happy I did and so happy I chose Kelly to do my first climb with , she made me feel so at ease and encouraged me so I climbed to the best of my ability, I had such a fun day we got a few various different claims and abseils complete. I really could not of done it, if it was not for the help, instructions and encouragement of my amazing instructor Kelly. I really can not wait to book some more amazing outdoor activities with Kelly Duffy Adventures. She really is amazing and I loved my experience with her.

Amazing day scrambling up Tryfan with Kelly as our guide. Her proficient skills and knowledge made us feel safe and confident and her passion was infectious. I did Kelly's Tryfan scramble day and it was great fun! Easy pace, guided from start to finish with plenty of tips and techniques. Would definitely recommend and I'm hoping to book on another challenge with Kelly next year.

What an amazing day with Kelly Duffy leading us up the maze that is Tryfan! Loved every minute. Kelly is super knowledgeable on all the routes and made it just difficult enough to feel challenged. Would defiantly not think twice about booking her again! Many thanks Kelly xxx

My GF and me recently booked Kelly for a learn to lead course in Snowdonia. Kelly was a great teacher. She really knows her stuff. Everything was explained perfectly. Also she's great fun and makes u feel relaxed and confident. We'll definitely be booking her again

Booked with Kelly to go up Tryfan North Face as I wanted to see The Cannon Stone and not get lost ! Aslo solo hikes can be bit boring and dangerous so I found it well worth the money and a good laugh, hoping to get Crib Goch done this year with her 👍

I treated myself to a guided hike in the mountains (The Marchlyn Loop) and this hike didn't disappoint! It was a dream to be able to walk without the pressure of thinking about where I needed to go or whether I'd be able to climb the steep parts of the walk in the mist. Kelly is an experienced hiker/climber and reassured us the entire way with encouragement and advice for tackling the tricky bits. I'm so pleased with my achievement and still haven't stopped talking about it to anyone who will listen!

We had a wonderful 2 days scrambling in the Glyders with Kelly. Being 5ft2 it was great to see how great footwork can save me energy and make my scrambling more fluid. Kelly was very knowledgeable, patient and taught us many new techniques to build our confidence. I would definitely hire Kelly again. Thank you for a wonderful day.
