Carla @ Sunmit Seekers is just the most amazing human… her knowledge, skills, patience and kindness is gold star!
She supported me to push my limits and complete the epic challenge of Tryfan and Crob Goch in one day!
I highly recommend.

I contacted Carla a few weeks before a trip to Scotland, my son and daughter had expressed an interest in climbing Ben Nevis, and I really wanted to do it as we were staying so close! Carla said she could come up, and we scheduled a good weather day to attempt it.

I am so glad we did - yes, it was hard for the kids, yes, there were many extreme emotions 😆 …but Carla was fantastically patient, interactive and supportive with the children, and we were able to achieve the highest summit in the U.K.

The children are so proud of themselves, and I am so happy we asked Carla to take us… it could have been a very different experience with another guide, would recommend Summit Seekers to anyone looking for mountain days of any kind!

Just got back from our family adventure with the fabulous Summit Seekers. I cannot express how amazing the whole experience was from start to finish and would highly recommend this to anyone who would like to get outdoors and have adventures with their little ones.

We arrived on Thursday afternoon and were met by Carla and her family who had pitched our bell tent in the most perfect location, right at the foot of Tryfan. The tent was equipped with everything you need: ready made up beds with lots of layers in case we got cold, chairs, cooking equipment, tonnes of snacks, teas, coffees, fruit juices the list goes on! We had our evening meal cooked for us and were then left to settle in for the night.

We had a great night's sleep and were met in the morning to go on our first adventure - a walk and scramble up Moel Siabod. Carla and her family were so friendly, knowledgeable and absolutely brilliant with all three of us. It was my daughter's first climb up a mountain and Carla instantly put her (and us) at ease. She was so adaptable to whatever we felt comfortable doing and motivated us all the way. Seeing the look of triumph on our little girl's face at the top was priceless and brought a tear to our eyes. Burgers and beers that evening and another good night's sleep.

Next morning it was rock climbing and abseiling. Carla taught us how to tie the ropes on ourselves, how to belay each other and then gave us plenty of practice climbing up the rocks and abseiling down. None of us are good with heights but we never once felt pressured in to doing anything we didn't want to. Carla was encouraging and reassuring throughout.

I really cannot recommend Summit Seekers enough. Thank you Carla and your lovely family for making our few days so memorable and exhilarating. Can't wait for our next adventure!

Carla is one of a kind! 💜 and Summit Seekers is a very special and cool little business!

You really feel her ownership throughout the whole journey (not like big enterprise organisations) 👏🏻

She is professional, wise, skilful, and an expert in her field. She is also compassionate, warm, friendly, funny, and has the perfect amount of firm, yet fair when knowing how far to push you to meet your goal.

Every detail of the event (Welsh 3000 Split) was well thought out. From the communication, meeting points, the sherpa service, the food (vegan & GF), the masseuse, the camping sites and the extra mountain leader that she hired, in our case it was Harry. He brought a great balance of energy and expertise that really helped me get across Crib Goch (I cried & froze a lot) but between Harry & Carla, they calmed me and got me through it, which I will be forever grateful for. I felt safe, learnt lots, even about clouds, history, adapted some new skills too. Overall I has an amazing weekend, and created memories I will forever cherish. I also met incredible people, none of us knew each other, yet now have special bonds. We had awesome conversations, laughed, cried, helped each other and kept each others spirits up when the challenge was getting tough. In a nutshell I highly recommend Summit Seekers, worth every penny, book on and open yourself up to meet new people and have the experience of a lifetime! x

The Welsh 3000 Split.... WOW.

3 mountain ranges 3 days of epicness!

Going into this with some belief in my ability on day hikes I left the weekend knowing I am capable of far more. Summit Seekers are more than capable of adapting to individual needs, whether you are a novice, experienced hiker, young or old. This event has definitely inspired me to take hiking one step further.

Carla our guide supplied everything and more. Fully guided hikes/ loads of awesome food, stunning bell tent camping locations with comfy beds perfect after a day of hiking and lots of hints/ tips and banter. All I had to do was to simply turn up and hike.

There is literally to much to describe/ explain about how amazing this event was so in short...

Awesome, Inspiring, Laughter.

If you are considering this event or any other with Summit Seekers then do it, you honestly will not regret it.

I did the Welsh 3k Split with Summit Seekers and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The clean air, startling views and blissful isolation are one thing, but to do it all with an expert guide like Carla made it all the more special. The endless patience and good humour she displayed as I hobbled down the last of seven mountains on day one, rain lashing, spirits draining, was nothing short of miraculous.

And that's not to mention everything else - the luxurious tent and sleeping bag, (all provided as part of the experience) hearty home-cooked food and rejuvenating cups of tea after a long day on your feet were every bit as wonderful as (and made even more welcome by) the hiking and scrambling that precede them. And then you wake up to freshly made bacon sarnies, eaten in the shadow of some of Britain's most majestic landscapes - it's absolute heaven.

Carla doesn't simply guide you on a hike - it's as if she welcomes you into her world; a window into a life of breathless outdoor adventure. I can honestly say this experience changed me in ways I did not anticipate - I did the Welsh 3k Split as an escape, to get properly LOST, but on the way ended up finding parts of myself I didn't know existed. I made both friends and life-long memories and cannot recommend Summit Seekers enough.

(PS I'd also recommend knee braces and plenty of pain killers)
