Platform Grill

There's a guy named Callum who works here, and he is doing brilliant! So friendly and welcoming.
The food isn't gormet, the coffee isn't barista level, but Callum *is a star*!

I had the best Oggie I've had in a long time in the cafe there...wonder who supplies them...

Vegan pasty v v good as were the steak ones!

There weren't many vegan options so had to stick to chips (soy milk was available for hot drinks) but they were very good and the packaging was eco friendly- for the drinks as well. Nice seating area and quick and friendly service, too. Good for a quick bite to eat.

Hot dog and chips are tasty.

Cheap tomato ketchup. Chips not great. Fryer lady friendly who made my delayed cup of tea, but not a smile cracked out of anyone else. We're a captive audience. Come on guys you could do better!!

It doesn't have an indoor rest rooms and closes very soon....they wouldn't serve hot food 4.30pm ?...maybe our experience was bad....

Chips were nice but burgers were not good at all!

This is by far the worst burger we have ever had. A "burgette", a piece of "burger" on a dry bun, with sauce (which they had forgotten...) And yet again, it has a lot of potential, nice picnic square, the Snowdon steam train departs from there and there is a shop nearby.
The lady at the counter is very friendly.
Where does it go wrong? How is this possible? It's really bad.

The hotdogs are too disgusting beyond words. £5.50 is a rip off for this horrible quality. Baguette is soggy and limp due to microwave heating or something. Yuk!

The young gentleman on the till was lovely, however when we ordered hot food and it seemed to really annoy the "chef" that he had to do some work and the "chef" tried to sell us other prepared food to avoid having to make us what we wanted. We eventually got most of our order (ordered 4 items got 3). It's so unfortunate that such a lovely train station has such a dissatisfying café. Maybe a customer service course could be arranged.

One star and even that is too much! Minus -5 for this place beef burger was absolutely disgusting 🤢

With a name like "platform grill" you would hope that they would cook your food fresh, surprise surprise, not a grill in sight. I'm not saying it's the worst thing you can put in your mouth, but even the seagulls looked disappointed.

If I could score zero stars I would. Hot dogs come in brioche rolls, no warning which is fine unless you have an allergy to milk (staff didn't know if brioche had milk in). Over priced, poor service. No fresh milk for tea despite having fridges. Awful.
