Hotel Carina

We stayed for 2 nights end of April, so deepest off season. So, the hotel offered us an upgrade of the room for free. The room was very clean and modern, the bed very comfortable. A TV would have been nice, but well, was not Important. Nice and kind service!!! Breakfast simple, but fresh and really tasty. Cherry on the cake: this cute and cozy spa! We had a very good time :-)

I cannot express how lovely the staff at this hotel are. They definitely make you feel at home and welcome. The hotel is impeccably designed down to the last little details, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. There was enough closet and counter space for 3 of us and even a rain shower! We also had an outdoor patio space with views of the Matterhorn. The hotel is located outside the hustle and bustle of city center but only a 7 minute walk from the train station and 15 minutes to the other side of town.

We enjoyed our stay at Carina. The room was tidy and clean and the service staff was nice and helpful. The best part is that you can get still and sparkling water anytime you want from the tap - would recommend!

Nice hotel. Modernly renovated. The staff is nice. Sauna is small but good. Rooms are small but super convenient and well designed.

A rare 10/10 experience, I'll try to summarize:

Before our holiday even started, we ran into some trouble, as I was called into service for a gig that was non-negotiable. Late at night I called Roberto six or seven times to try and re-schedule a trip that meant so much to us. Roberto did a fantastic job and was very patient with me, even though I threw a few un-intentional curveballs at him. We also got ample information beforehand.

Once we arrived in Zermatt it was very easy to get to the hotel. The location is really good for getting to the slopes as well, no trouble at all.

The rooms are beautiful and the design is much appreciated to a Nordic mind. Not to mention the Finnish sauna that we frequented after every ski day. All of the hotel is clean, thought out and welcoming, which is rare. The entire staff is super professional. The hotel restaurant was also the best one we got to enjoy this trip.

Last but not least, to hotel management:
Never lose Laura, if anything - promote her asap. Genuinely nice person, great recommendations for slopes, restaurants and transportation. She is patient, really happy all the time and just alltogether a huge bonus to our experience, incredible customer service.

We will be back, every year.

Room may be small but overall clean and we could see Matterhorn from our room balcony. Both bed and pillow were comfortable.

Breakfast was not bad, I personally like the chocolate crossaint a lot.

This was one of our favorite and memorable hotels on our entire trip! The spa is wonderful and the decor of the entire place is thoughtful and interesting. Our one regret was not eating dinner at their restaurant that evening. We had already eaten dinner but we sat down and had a lovely appetizer paired with a fantastic wine (we ended up buying a bottle of it to drink later on). The food that the other guests ordered looked delicious and innovative. The staff was very friendly and informative. I highly recommend this unique hotel for your stay in Zermatt. I want to return just to eat their food.

Great stay in zermatt, a bit outside the old center but such a great place to stay. The room we booked was small but extremely well planned and furnished, very cozy and with an exceptionally confortable bed. Even the pillows were good, and I’m really difficult in that area. The spa and sauna were a nice touch and the breakfast was satisfying. A warm recommendation to everyone.

Carina was a wonderful hotel! It's a short walk from the central and Gornergrat stations, which was great after a long day of travel. I liked the style of the interior which is modern yet cozy. The cocoon room was fairly small and simple but just enough for a 2 day stay.

Staff were super friendly and hard working. We got a lot of help from Laura, so major kudos to her!

I Hate dorms (I'm the wrong demographic, older) but was forced here by price.

It worked out well. The staff are attentive and the fellow stayers were considerate too.

Quiet, spotless, and a 10 minute walk from the train. Breakfast excellent. Excellent shower.

The dorms have blackout curtains which well, so you can hide if you want.

Me and my boyfriend, both having a lot of experience in the industry of food and drinks, had an amazing dinner at the restaurant of Carina a couple of days ago. Among the things that amazed us was the food taste , presentation and inspiration on the ways of Janis on how to handle a non the less simple ingredient pallete but make it in such an artfull and perfect way that every single bite got us excited. The service was always there but in such an elegant and friendly way that we both had the feeling of dinning in our house but getting spoiled by professionals. Wine suggestion is not to forget , great wine list and Laura being knowledgeable and understanding. Going back soon!!!

I can’t wait to be back here in two months!! I’ve never stayed in a dorm before, but I made an exception because they looked so nice here! The staff were all very friendly, particularly the bar/restaurant staff. Leo whipped up a special cocktails based on what I said I liked, and it was perfect! Just a short walk to the centre, ideally located for ski lifts/trains especially. Until next time Carina

We had a wonderful time at Carina - the view of the Matterhorn from our room was unparalleled and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and the dinner at La Table du Carina was incredible. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in the dorm room but private rooms are available too. Very warm staff, amazing breakfast, LOVED the spa. Shared the room with considerate roomies - all solo travellers like myself and made friends! Everything here was perfect. I'm dying to come back to Zermatt just to stay here again.

We spent two amazing nights at the hotel. We really recommend from the bottom of our full tummies to eat at the hotel end enjoy the fresh, modern and local food and beeing led through the evening by Laura. She was a great hostess and we hope to see her back here the next time. She really helped making it a spacial trip!

Lovely hotel and great value for money! The staff especially is incredibly nice and helpful in all regards. Will be returning for more skiing soon.

Amazing place! It really enhanced my experience in Zermatt. Wonderful rooms, beds. It is very modern and the sauna is a great addition. Staff is very helpful and the place is relaxing. Zermatt viewpoint is not far from there where you can have a great picture of the Matterhorn and the village. Prices are very good too.

Just great! Very cheap in comparison to the other hotels in Zermatt and still great! Well definitely come back :)
