Our FAVORITE place in Varenna, hands down! My husband and I spent 5 days in Varenna and we stopped at this shop every day. The sandwiches were perfect and the service was delightful. Both of the owners were very helpful and kind. Cannot wait to be back. Grazie Mille Lillia e Jacinta!

Very cute shop! The employee who helped us was very friendly - she provided cheese/meat recommendations for our sandwiches based on what we liked. Two sandwiches and extra slices of ham on the side for €15. The meats and cheeses were of great quality. My husband and I will be coming back for more!

If you want to skip the long lines for “instagram sandwiches” and want the best tasting meal of your life - then make your way to Macelleria’s! Great selection of meats and cheeses, and the fluffiest pieces of bread you’ll ever have. This sandwich has single-handedly completed my trip to Varenna. 10/10 would go again!

A real delight .... the proprietors know their business and provide quality produce with a smile and courteous responses to questions. Treat people as you would expect to be treated ... it works wonders. We put together a beautiful picnic lunch to enjoy while on a day exploring Lake Como by ferry.

Very helpful as we purchased pasta and sauce and sausage while asking about some food allergies in our family. Wine suggestion was perfect. The sausage and the pasta were delicious.

Gezellig winkeltje met lokale producten. Heel leuk geholpen door deze vrouw. Was vriendelijk, en gaf uitleg over producten. Naar huis met vanalles om thuis nog van te genieten . Grazie!

We hebben hier 3 broodjes gegeten die heerlijk waren. Ze waren zeer vriendelijk en herkende ons meteen toen we de volgende dag terug gingen om nog een broodje te halen. Ik raad het zeker aan!

Les alentours du lac ne sont pas réputés pour leurs restaurants, chers et au mauvais rapport qualité prix. Nous avons eu l'idée de rentrer ici et de demander à la tenancière si nous pouvions avoir des sandwichs. Nous avons eu des sandwichs avec la charcuterie et le fromage de notre choix, tous locaux, et un généreux filet d'huile d'olive comme seul condiment. Cela nous a coûté 7€ avec la boisson et la quantité était au rendez-vous, tant pour le jambon que pour le fromage. On recommande aux touristes qui gardent l'argent pour de vraies expériences culinaires.
