After spending a week in Brookings (July 22-26, 2024) and seeing most of the surrounding beaches, this beach was just beautiful! Easily accessible, nice to walk on and witnessed such a beautiful sunset!!

My all time favorite beach. I have been here about 60 times and I don't live anywhere near here, it's the beach right in front of Beach Front Inn which is my favorite hotel on the West Coast. I've been here in rain, shine, fog, and wind- it's always beautiful. I have way too many pictures of this beach but I will choose some of my favorites. I've hiked as far as you can go in both directions. I've had a romantic dinner here, bonfires here- once we cooked hobo dinners, played in the ocean, and I've seen quite a bit of sea life here- sea otters, sea lions, fish, starfish, oysters, crabs, etc. We also saw one year a creative little village someone built, took a few pictures of that. I love it here!!!

May not have as much sand as other beaches, but it has the best view of the jetty harbor and river, incredible views of the coastline, gorgeous sunsets and is a great place to go people and boat watching. And the storms! Such a fabulous place to watch the storms roll in.

As a local, this is my favorite sandy beach in the area to take a walk. Usually only busy during the tourist season in summer. The rest of the year you can often have the far south end to yourself, or nearly. Nice wave splashes on ocean rocks at this end. Driftwood & small rocks usually available; not many shells. At the north end you may see surfers or fishing boats coming and going from the river entrance. I prefer a lower tide, so I check it online first. Dogs must be leashed. I suggest a windbreaker or hoodie in case you need it.

Great first beach stop along our coast drive. Convenient spot with a restaurant near by, parked there, had lunch and walked over. Lots of families and a few surfers (not having much luck)

This is a great beach. It's clean and has security. Close to food, camping and all that Bookings OR has to offer. They let you have fires on the beach too. The image is of our local full moon drum circle gathering. Find it online and attend. It's for everyone and family friendly ♥

Typically Brookings! Just beautiful! Watch the surfers, or whales and sea lions if they're in season.

Really pretty place to view the ocean. Also perfect for a dog walk along either the sidewalk adjacent to the beach or right on the beach. You can park your car there and take a hike along the beach or you can sit in your car and observe the goings-on in the ocean

Easily accessible for cars. Ample parking. Usually plenty of both locals and visitors enjoying the view.
The jetties (Chetco Bar) are right there so boats can be observed coming and going.
Plenty of beach for kids to play.
