Beautifully kept grounds. Friendly customer service at the beginning with a map to direct your walk.
Many of the plants and trees are marked with placards to help with identification.
The drive out was well worth the trip.

This place is just absolutely gorgeous. About a 30 minute drive from Kihei but absolutely worth it. The drive was beautiful in itself. The gardens are well maintain, quite a variety of different flora and fauna, not just from Hawaii but from all over the world. The lady at the front, Kathy, was very sweet. All over, one of my favorite parts of my vacation in Hawaii so far.

Absolutely lovely botanical gardens, the staff were so sweet to chat with and provide a little map of the gardens. You want at least 45 minutes here but more time is even better to explore the different paths. Will be back!

Our son wanted to see chameleons and I read a number of blog posts recommending looking here. It took a little searching but eventually we found 3 Jackson’s Chameleons in the trees around the gardens. The gardens were small, but pretty, and it was a good way to spend an hour on lazy Sunday morning.

Beautiful, small, intimate botanical garden. Won't take more than an hour to see everything (if that), but very much worth it. Wide variety of native Hawaiian Flora and even rainbow eucalyptus trees that are so prevalent in the Philippines! Stop along the way and look deeper into the foliage for chameleons and other very cool creatures. The drive to the garden is along curvy, steep roads, up to 3500ft above sea level, offering great views of the island.

Had a wonderful visit here. What a beautiful, peaceful place to stroll through. There are so many varieties of flowers and plants. I think my phone was about to blow up from all the pics I took. We also saw a few rainbow eucalyptus trees. There is some bench seating around the garden and figured the next time I visit to bring my sketching supplies. If you like to sketch, draw or paint, this is a beautiful location. Highly recommend.

We truly enjoyed our experience here! Several paved paths lead you throughout the gardens. It was very Zen-like for us. The property had suffered some major damage and has not fully recovered, but still well worth the trip. Go early for the best experience!

The lady who works behind the counter is an absolute darling and shared so many wonderful tips ans experiences about the island of Maui and Hawaii in general. The gardens are so beautiful all the flowers are out of this world. The rain did wash away the one side of the garden and the koi pond. The shop has some wonderful information brochures and even better souvenirs to buy. We bought a beautiful shopping bag and a bracelet.

Wonderful place to visit in Maui. The family has taken care of this garden for a long time pretty diligently. It is full of flowers and trees, and few small animals. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderfully quiet gem of a place to get lost in for a while, admiring the flora and fauna. It's fun to wander the twists and turns. We stopped to enjoy the ducks and spotted some avocado's and macadamia nuts growing on the trees as well.

Soooooo many gorgeous flowers and lush greenery! The grounds are beautifully laid out and easy to navigate. New wonders wait around every corner. Nice gift shop, too, with friendly people. Definitely worth a detour.

Enjoyable and informative. So much to see and experience. Prepare to learn. Parking can be a bit of an issue. 5 stars in any case.

My wife and I loved this place! It was a very peaceful and interesting experience. The winding paths and gentle atmosphere really made us feel like we were experiencing another world. Yes, they recently had a landslide that took out a good chunk of their land, but overall it was still a great experience. Highly recommend!

This place is a diamond in the rough, and we thought it was far and above the lavender gardens which are nearby. However they're both beautiful and if you enjoy plants and gardening then you should definitely see this place. Also take a picnic because they have a nice balcony with tables. They do close at 4:00 so try and get there at least by 2:30.

Plenty of blooming plants and some sculptures to see while taking a stroll through various paths up a gentle hill. If you only do the main path and don't stop too much, you may be done in 30 minutes. We went through every path and took a bunch of pictures, so it took us about 90 mins. The cost of $10 felt reasonable given the variety and that it was well kept. The pond wasn't available due to a landslide, and visitors may like a small gesture instead of paying full price if the full experience isn't there, but that's tolerable. Note that this botanical garden has plants from many regions of the world (e.g., South Africa, Brazil); it's not a garden of endemic plants to Hawaii.

Wonderful garden! There are hundreds of different interesting plants and flowers to see, as well as Rainbow Eucalyptus, Musavoy Ducks, chameleons, and friendly kitties. The $10 entrance fee is well worth it, and the gift shop sells Hawaiian seeds and plumeria shoots inspected and packaged to be taken on your plane home.

A small part of the garden is closed due to catastrophic floods after last December, and I hope they get the funds they need to rebuild their beautiful garden soon.

For all the plant lovers, this places is heaven!! There are so many varieties of plants here. Most everything is labeled, the paths are easy to follow. This is kind of a hike as it's a lot of uphill walking but it's definitely worth it! The gift shop has some pretty cool things as well.

Kind lady working the front desk. I appreciated her hand drawn map and explanation of how to navigate through the garden to see everything. Enjoyed the lush gardens. Incomparable to all the botanical gardens back on the mainland.

Come here to see the eucalyptus tree up close instead of wasting a stop at the garden on the road to Hana!

This is a magical hidden gem of a place. We saw it on the way to the lavender farms. So beautiful, cute gift shop, too. It had typical gift shop items and tchotchkes, but also things like custom loose tea packs, bookmarks made with Kia wood, etc. there were also three adorable kitties on the way, playing around the entrance!! They also have a rainbow eucalyptus tree, so you don’t need to go through the entire road to Hana to see this spectacle. We were scared of doing the road but wanted to see the tree, so we were really glad we saw this here.
