Mama's Fish House

Mamas has a special environment. The location is beach front and magical. The service was friendly and very welcoming. It's fine dining but we came from the beach so we're dressed very casual. We didn't have reservations but were able to eat at the bar. We ordered crab stuffed kanpachi with the lobster tail and seafood curry. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable and drinks were yummy. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

This restaurant was OUTSTANDING. Best meal I’ve ever had in any of the Hawaii islands. Like as many reviews mentioned, you cannot go wrong with any of the dishes on the menu. We truly enjoyed every single dishes we ordered. The octopus dish was so delicious and soft and the crab cake hit it out of the park for us. Our server did a great job. We missed his name but he went above and beyond to check on us to make sure we got everything we needed it. The drinks were delicious. One of the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. Bonus star for complimentary valet parking, and overall all the workers at mama’s gave top notch service. I recommend coming here if it’s the only meal you ever try in Maui.

Absolutely the finest Restaurant I have ever been to!! Can't believe the freshly caught fish that is prepared to perfection!! Fabulous atmosphere!! A lot of history here! Max, our server was extremely knowledgeable and made the evening very satisfying!!

Cosy Hawaiian ambient. Good location with beach side view. Surprisingly the beach is also a resting place of sea turtles.
High quality foods, unfortunately not too many selections. The signature Kanpachi Macadamia nut crusted with crab and lobster is outstanding and never let you down. The Mama's Mah Tai is tasty and the presentation is quite unique.
We are fortunate has been served by "Kaila", we believe she can be the best server on the island. Kaila has a very pleasant face, polite and knowledgeable. She has given us detail description of each dish that we have ordered, very professional.
Our deserts were good. Chocolate Black Pearl and Coconut ice cream were tasty and very well garnished.
We will definitely return to Mama's fish House next time when we visit Maui.
Price is consider on the high side, but we believe each visit will bring you good memory to take home.

Service was amazing. Top notch. The food was incredible Hawaiian dishes that were unique and fresh! Highly recommended. We went at 2pm and had apps, salads, and main course, so we were there until 5pm for a rehearsal dinner of 8. Great place for serene backdrop for photos as well.

Still a 5 star review after being seated 45 minutes late, we were a part of 8. I had the curry and it was so delicious I don't have an explanation for it. Most of our party had the crab and shrimp stuffed Mac nut crusted fish and all loved it. Some one besides our waiter came before we left and offered to comp our appetizers for being tasty at seating us. I will go back every time on the island. Be sure to book your reservation when you reserve your room and flight out you won't get in.

What a place! No wonder why the wait list is several months out. Anniversary lunch and food was exceptional, as were the drinks! Mai Tai on point. Views for days. Nice beach spot in front of restaurant too. Must go!

An absolute must-visit in Maui! Despite the hour-long drive to reach it, the experience was undeniably worth it. Be sure to make reservations in advance. While it leans toward the pricier end, the quality of the food is exceptional. Don’t miss out on their famous dessert – it’s a must-order! Personally, I couldn’t get enough of their delicious piña colada. As for main courses, I highly recommend trying their salmon.

If you're reading this, you're already aware that Mama's is one of those "check off your list" places to visit. Food was great as expected, same with service and ambiance. Definitely don't take my word, make your own judgement. It's what you'd expect, definitely get the dessert though!!

It was my birthday and we got lucky with a reservation. Let me tell you this… Mama’s Fish House and the staff made my special day count! It was all worth it. We went with suggested starters and the daily special entree which was supposedly a 2lbs of whole fried fish 🐟 head to tail but came out maybe 3, had some poi, some house cocktails 🍹 and it was all outstanding!! Really enjoyed our dinning experience and the hospitality. I kept my birthday card as well 😊 Mahalo Mama’s Fish House.

One of the best dining experiences that I’ve ever had. All the food was delicious, from the warm bread to the fresh fish. Amazing views of the ocean serve as the cherry on top.

What they say is true...the food is delicious and the setting is beautiful.
We were a large party and got excellent service. A few people at the table have food allergies and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. When the appetizers were brought out they made us aware of what dishes contained what, so no one had an allergic reaction.
The drinks were delightful as well.
Make sure you reserve months in advance. We were lucky enough to grab a reservation due to a cancellation.

We were the final walk-ins allowed at the bar! Friendly informative staff. Delicious fresh fish! Fabulous decor. Not sure if I'd be as happy sitting in the center of the dining room. Especially if I made reservations well in advance but the food is sooo good and fresh I would likely not care..

The food were great and the drinks were awesome. There's a beautiful beach right out front the restaurant. You can't wear a tank top. They will give you a short sleeve shirt to wear that you must return. Also there's valet parking. Suggest to reserve a reservation.

Restaurants in Maui were overall a let down and we were afraid of Mama's being overhyped. We were extremely pleased. This is the only place worth the price and hype. Everything from the service, detail, and most importantly the food were fantastic.

Really is a great spot and a must-do if you have the time and can get a reservation. Staff is incredible and the food was delicious all around. Gluten free / celiac friendly and they took great care.

What a fantastic experience. Food was incredible. We seriously had a hard time deciding what to order because it all looked so good! Our server, Kilohana, made us feel like there was no other customer in the entire restaurant and we could tell that's how he treated all his tables. Excellent service. This was our first time here, and won't be our last. Pricey yes, but we knew that going in, and the entire experience was absolutely 100% worth it. Spoil yourself. You deserve it!

Visiting friends on Maui who brought me to Mama's Fish House for a surprise birthday dinner! It was absolutely wonderful & delicious. Very friendly staff. It's beachside and the grounds are breathtakingly picturesque, perfect weather, lots of good spots for photoshots before entering the restaurant area. Pure heaven on earth. You can walk freely about the grounds. Although you must make reservations months ahead of time to have dinner here as it's quite popular. This is a must see place if you're going to Maui.

Second visit here and as wonderful as always. Be sure to make a reservation! Service is exceptional as is the food. We celebrated our anniversary and were greeted with congrats, a lovely personalized card, and an extra dessert. We enjoyed our favorites from last time and a few new items. The fresh bread is an amazing way to start as well as the mahi mahi and ahi chowder. The king salmon is delicious and I had to order the stuffed and nut crusted fish (usually mahi mahi or similar) again! Be sure to leave room for dessert though!

Best meal ever! Great service and a wide selection to choose from. Absolutely amazing food and our bartender,Tom, was attentive and knowledgeable about dishes and drinks. I’d love to come back, it was a perfect late lunch 🌺
