Paia Fish Market Restaurant

Quaint little place serving delicious fresh caught fish. We came in after the Road to Hana like many others on a late afternoon and luckily had a short wait. The deep fried calamari was so hot and fresh and flavorful, and the cajun Ono and sauteed Mahi Mahi were so buttery and fresh. For the price I felt the portions were plentiful and the sides to each dish were also good. Great service and atmosphere.

The food was good. The fries were tasty.
The grilled Ono was cooked and seasoned well it was very nice in the burger.

Long line but well worth the wait. They have a good ordering and seating system. You can’t save a table until you order. I got the chowder and seafood pasta. Had to take some home for later. Will definitely visit again next time I’m there.

Loved Cajun style blackened mahi mahi.
Cajun style salmon was equally amazing.

The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish was flaky and moist.
The tartar sauce was delicious.
The Cajun roast was good but little bit in dry side.
The slaw was good too

Overall the food was amazing with nice portion size.
Definitely a must visit.

We loved the food here! I got a salmon burger with fries and my husband got a mahi mahi burger with cajun styles rice. We also got the deep fried shrimp, which was amazing, so crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside. I'm still dreaming about it days later. Only downside of this place is that it's so popular that the line was out the door - we waited about 30 mins. Inside was packed too but we were able to share a large table with another couple.

Calamari strips were phenomenal. Tender, sweet and tasty. Very busy, but they do a great job of getting orders out quickly and moving the line-up along.

A great place for lunch. Fresh fish dishes. Quick service. Friendly staff. Place your order, find a table and the staff will bring out your food.

Convenient and quite busy location provided hearty, delicious seafood portions! Seafood Pasta was quite filling. Fresh Catch plate fish was blackened to perfection. Great clam chowder soup, too!

Loved everything about this fish market. Dinner was delicious and fresh restaurant has a great atmosphere and exactly what you're looking for if you want fresh seafood and not pay an arm and a leg for it.

Ate here twice as it was so good! I loved this chicken quesadilla and my husband had the ahi blackened and one other way. It was great. Quick, filling, delicious.

Excellent, delicious food for great value. If you love fish dishes and seafood, this is the place. In a great area with lots of shops and options. Large, delicious portions and affordable pricing.

This was one of our favorite fish meals on the island! Also incredible sides! Definitely recommend. :)

The best, and freshest seafood you could think of. You really want to try their sautéed cook, it's the best by far and make sure to get their homemade tartar sauce as well.

Order at the counter with self-serve tables. Friendly service! Our food came out within minutes of ordering and did not lack flavor. Have to try the Paia Magic Sauce that’s on the table. The bathrooms are outside; not the cleanest and you have to get a key from the cashier counter.

Best fish dinner I had on Maui. Only 1 staff member taking orders which ensures there are enough seats to accommodate you. Even though you stand in line, it moves well and allows those ahead of you to get their food, sit and eat and move on to make room for those in line. Very efficient. But food was outstanding especially the potato salad. Best ever.

Place looked really busy at 14:00, there was a lineup out onto the sidewalk outside. We were a group of 6 and inside almost all the tables were busy. Took around 10 - 15 minutes to reach the front of the line to order. Menu boards were easy to read while waiting. Good selection of Maui Brewing beers. By the time we ordered, tables had cleared and been bussed, and we were easily able to sit down. Food came out really quickly and was REALLY good. Onion rings to die for, and awesome shrimp meal.
Highly recommended spot for a meal, and if it looks busy, just have a little patience and it will be SO worth it

This place was on my radar the last time we went through Paia, but we had to skip it because the line was out the door and onto the street. I should have known there was a reason for that.
I ordered the fish and chips, I use it as a metric to test a restaurant, and a Guava Jarritos soda. Never seen that one before so I had to try it. I also got the calamari because I love calamari strips. The cocktail sauce that came with the calamari had a slight, and I mean slight, kick to it, but it was so delicious I almost requested a bath be filled with it. The fish and chips were good, but I'm not a fan of shoestring fries. The slaw that came with my meal was delicious. I don't usually eat slaw, but the tartar sauce made such a difference I ate the majority of it.
The homemade tartar sauce was so good. I thought about skipping it, the fish was good without it, but something told me I needed to try it so I did. It was delicious. There was dill, salt, and lemon in it and it made what could have been a very dull tartar very good.

Love the food here! Turned on to this place by my friend that has lived here for years.
I like the sandwiches, mahi blackened is my favorite. But I've the last few years have went strictly with salads with the same fish. Also has two jumbo shrimp. Cucumber slices, sprouts, mixed greens, and cherry tomatoes round out the meal. They sell beers too. It is usually crowded here and can sometimes be hard to get a seat.

This place is the bomb!! We heard alot of good things about this place, and it lived up to the hype! The line was short, and it was not hard to find a place to sit. You order at the desk and then find a table to eat at. We had 6 people in our group and the wait for our food was only about 10-14 mins. I highly recommend the salmon 🤤

The food was quick and hot. Exactly what we ordered. The price is reasonable and fair. Friendly staff. Would definitely return to this location again.
