Baldwin Beach Park

Beautiful beach. Was recommended by a local and he said that the weekends it was usually packed. Water is clear and cool. Wind picks up around lunch and blows sand. Still an enjoyable spot to relax. Saw a number of sea turtles cruising the surf. Recommend for a quick beach trip from the boat and Paia is about a mile walk for shopping/lunch.

Beautiful beach close to the airport where you can often see turtles! We visited on a windy weekday around 1:30pm and were lucky enough to see 3 sunbathing turtles. From the parking lot, we turned right and walked to where the beach gets rocky with some driftwood pieces to see the turtles. Nice public bathrooms as well

Soft sandy beach that's usually not too crowded, easy to get into/out of the water with few rocks to rip up your feet, plenty of pockets where the reef lessens the impact of the waves, close parking and right next to the downtown area of Paia.

It's a perfect beach to do any beach activity at, including catching some magical shows in the evening if you go at the right time.

Went in here on a whim. So beautiful.
Volleyball set up on the beach. Turtles resting on the beach and lots of people relaxing. Washrooms and lots of parking available.

This is a gorgeous beach! Careful not to stand still in the sand in that surf though, it'll knock you over! Fun!!! 😁

Absolutely awesome. Even with a packed parking lot we were able to find a shaded private spot. And the colours…..

PROS: Unbelievably turquoise, water, soft, white sand, and turtles absolutely everywhere, especially on the right hand end of the beach near the rocks. This is also a wonderful beach for a sunset walk. Relatively clean bathroom, shower/foot washing station, and decent parking, especially by Maui standards.

CONS: Very windy beach with frequently rough water. We were there in March and the water was too rough to get in both times we went. That said you can usually get wet safely on the right hand side of the beach where the turtles hang out; the rocks create a barrier against the open surf. Also, this is sadly one of the beaches were a lot of homeless folks hang out, but they seem to leave visitors alone.

NOTE: It’s worth scrambling over the rocks on the far right to get to a secret beach, where you will probably see yet more sea turtles! Just keep in mind that, like many secret beaches in Hawaii, it’s considered clothing optional, so maybe not great for kids. 😅

This was by far my favorite beach! The water was a stunning turquoise. The beach stretched on forever giving plenty of space for everyone to sprawl out. There was tons of parking and a nice shower to rinse off the sand.

Great to see turtles (keeping a safe distance for the turtles of course:) walking along the beach!

One of the most beautiful beaches and great for walking... Lots of turtles to see on calm days, Stunning.

It was one of the amazing places I’ve ever been, it’s so amazing and the sound of the ocean is so peaceful and the waves were so nice and strong, it’s amazing to see the young surfers and the sky with the turquoise ocean layers something so amazing. We enjoyed the time with our friend and family, definitely will go back and visit for a short time, with more worth of visits, and in the winter time to check the ocean and the beautiful turquoise layers of the ocean.

Although we were not able to spend much time at the beach other than take a Quick Look on our return from the Road to Hana, the surf on the north side of Maui is super nice as is this beach.

Parking is not the greatest and the paved portion of the parking lot is in terrible shape. Be careful as your car may bottom out given the size and depth of numerous potholes.

This will be a most stop on our next trip to Maui.

Super long beautiful Beach.. great for long walks, beach break surf... not for novices. Bathroom and outside shower. Local hangout at the north end of the beach where there's a small cove like swim area and turtles.

This was the prettiest beach I visited on the island and so relaxing — came here to work. Lots of shade trees to sit under and the water was warm. Very family friendly but extremely windy area. Plenty of parking. Restrooms and rinsing stations also close by.

Beautiful and peaceful beach. There are picnic tables and foot washing facility. Free parking. Magical atmosphere, worth a visit.

I love this beautiful beach. The right is bigger waves, the left has a cove that often has beached turtles. I take shoots there sometimes early in the morning. @live_aloha_photography

Baldwin is one of our favorite beaches on Maui. Waves are usually tame enough to swim or bodysurf in with bigger wells. Lifeguards in one section and it’s nice having a shower, restrooms, and big pavilion with picnic tables.

Great beach!! Huge waves, so fun to experience and swim. Great place for seaglass. Lots of parking, bathrooms, and area to clean sand off body and feet.
