The Realtors Association of Maui works hard for its members to keep them up to date on all the latest news and technology so they can be the best at what they do. This is the place where agents and brokers come for continuing education, meetings and events. The friendly staff is always ready to help with answers, support and services.

They changed their website and now it is difficult to navigate.
Will find a better website. Was trying to find new listings and info on the new laws regarding disclosure of shoreline erosion and passive flooding.

May of 2023 we had a Realtor request to stay at our home in Hawaii county. They wrote a request pretending that they were visiting to "buy" a nearby property, and we were delighted to host their stay. Once the guest was present on our property they revealed they were not the buyer of a property nearby, but were present to sell properties. While peculiar I considered it a miscommunication until the following morning the realtor soliced me to sell my property, he insisted on listing it, and when I made it clear our home was not for sale, he apologized making it sound like a just an ill mannered complement. After the guest left they printed a public defamation about our home and our community at large where they had other properties listed in their representation. Having many realtor friends I found this over all experience beyond unprofessional, and discovered this Realtor has quite the reputation in our community having sold properties for 21 years now. After contacting our Local Realtor associations they helped me find he isn't even associated with any on our island but is part of the Realtor association of Maui, so I contact RAM, and after two attempts with clear documentation in print, they dismissed my formal complains simply claiming they didn't rise to concern. It cost me 2500- to address this liable slander in which the realtor of his own act removed the printed slander, and even that information provided to RAM seems to have been ignored. After the extensive presenting of evidence to this association about their associate it is clear to me they were in defense of their unethical act and I would question their representation for the best of any community given my experience. I have always had good experiences with realtors buying and selling homes as having both friends and family in this business trade all are are floored as this is beyond expected and shows some possible truth to the concerns locals have with Hawaii housing and realtors. I feel sorry for the good ones that are being tared by these kinds of foul practitioners. It is said Realtors are held to a higher standard of ethics, but in this case, that higher standard seems to be one of their own making where they are both judge and jury. I would suggest caution in working with this association given my experience. I will state among the momany smaller concerns such as slandering a community they are claiming to represent other clients in, or making outrageous clams of their own repute, my #1 concern was that a Realtor accessed our home pretending to be a buyer, and the #1 Realtor Code of ethics is that realtor have to present themselves accordingly, and this was a printed request with deception of who they were as a "buyer" not a "Selling Realtor," this was deception and it was clear in print, and yet ignored when presented.
