I had a crown fall out while eating. I called and was scheduled for an appointment only 2 hours later. I was seen right away and was out the door in 30 minutes!

Another exceptional experience today 10/19/2020 at Dr. Ogata's dental office. I find Dr. Ogata and his office to be among Maui's very finest. Dr. Ogata is a superb dentist, and his hygenists terrific. State of the art equipment (including Covid19 protection) and a caring attitude amongst all in the office.

One of the amazing aspects of Dr. Ogata's office is not only the superb technical skill of Dr. Ogata and his entire staff, but also the consistency of their application of that skill. Each visit is as fine as its predecessor. Additionally, the office continually incorporates all the advances in equipment. For example, a recently installed electric plaque scaler used in my cleanings finely regulates its water flushing element, so I no longer have that drowning sensation which earlier models caused. My experience with dental hygienist Maria continues (this Sept. 2019) outstanding. In addition to her marvelous blend of thorough yet gentle cleaning technique, she educates how to improve my gum health by identifying the areas that need special attention, and specific approaches to use (including even a gentle massage!). My wife is similarly most pleased with her hygienist Sarah. All in all, a wonderful office!
My teeth cleaning yesterday with my regular hygienist continues to be superb (see comments above). In addition, Teal, who covered for my wife's regular hygienist (who is on pregnancy leave) was terrific as reported by my wife. Teal provided my wife with multiple insights into brushing with a new electric toothbrush, state-of-the-art dental floss, etc.
The hygienists in Dr. Ogata's office are jewels in the crown he has fashioned, making a marvelous compliment to the outstanding dentistry he (and his dental assistants) practice.
March 1, 2022 yet another fantastic teeth cleaning with my regular dental hygenist Maria - thorough; nearly painless; informative; very pleasant. My gums continue to improve. Office is spotless, and staff thoroughly professional.

Had a great Experience, explained what work needed to be done. Dr and staff were very patient and caring. First time there,so was a little nervous but they were Very Nice ☺

I love Dr. Ogata and his staff. My family and I have had our dental health tended to for over 15 years. They are highly skilled professionals, caring, and considerate providing a safe environment for their patients. They have even gone overboard to provide safe care during covid 19. Dr. Ogata and his staff also tend to have a great sense of humor which helps make a dental visit enjoyable. Highly recommended!

From the first time I saw Dr. Ogata in 2014, I was blown away by the staff, the attention to detail, the communication and quality with everything they did. I immediately trusted them and was comforted by them after what seemed like a tragic tooth incident for me. The results they provided were unmatched, and still to this day, many years later, they uphold that level of quality, customer service, and beautiful & attentive care. I couldn't be more grateful and couldn't recommend their office enough!

Today was my first appointment and I was very pleased with everything. Starting with the most lovely lady at the front desk, she is very sweet and helpful. The Dr’s assistant is very professional and efficient. She showed me around the office, and i was impressed with the quality of all technologies they use there. Dr Ogata is very accessible and super nice. He explained everything about our short term goals, making an immediate plan of action for my concernsand his recommendations were in line with what I believed too we should do. So, all in all, a wonderful visit to the dentist, which is something I never thought I would say!
I chose this office (among multiple other options in Maui) based on the reviews. So I want to provide my feedback so others can be reassured that this Dentist office and Dr Ogata is definitely going to exceed your expectations.

Dr. Ogata and his staff were so amazing to me when I came in with a dental emergency! It was my first time walking into his office and they all treated me as if I had been a long time patient with care and understanding. I generally have anxiety at the dentists office but Dr. Ogata and his assistant created a perfect blend of confidence, assurance and light humor to the room leaving me feeling so relaxed in a dental chair ! And that is a big deal for me! I now actually look forward to going back to a next appointment! Mahalo!

Dr. Lance Ogata DDS is exceptional in his knowledge and has many years of experience. I found him to be highly ethical and Interested in what is best for me with my dental care history and concerns. Amazing service! He’s the best on Maui!

We've been visiting Dr. Ogata for almost 15 years now. Dr. O is very skilled, keeps up to date on continuing education, and is always conservative and willing to wait and watch until a procedure is truly necessary. You can tell a lot about a professional by their support team - and the Smile Hawaii team, led by Anela, is always competent and kind. Also, props to the new hygienist Maria; she does a great job with a great attitude, so she fits right in.

I am 13 years old and my dad changed my pediatric dentist to Dr. Ogata this year.He is great and take the fear out of dental check ups.He examined my teeth and one of his beautiful assistants made my teeth sparkly clean a few days ago. People who work there are all friendly and good looking and make you feel at home.I had a cup of herbal tea there while I was waiting for my appointment.

I referred my son to Dr. Ogata, because of the convenient location...my son was very happy with his experience with the whole staff.."they are so friendly and caring, I felt very comfortable with them.."
