Imua Physical Therapy

Great place! The two therapists who worked with me helped tremendously - I went from movement with non stop pain to near perfect within 4 weeks and am confident that I'll be perfect at the end. Everyone here is also kind, caring, helpful, competent. Can't recommend highly enough.

They knew exactly what I needed to recover quickly and fully and tailored a program specifically for me.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeble, answered questions, was patient and helped me achieve much improved movement . Also now that I know some of the exercises I can continue to maintain moveability and even further improve. Thank you. :-)

Working with Kara was truly a pleasure. She is very professional, thorough and sensitive to all of my needs. Additionally, we laughed a lot, making sessions fun. I really appreciated that she printed out a copy of all the exercises so that I could remember what to do at home. I am certain that the work we did together will contribute to the health of my pelvic floor for the rest of my life.

Christine at Imua therapy is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to go above and beyond to help get me better and working towards my goal of healing. She is very compassionate and always is honest and breaks down my injury for me so I know how to stay safe while strengthening my wrist and arm. I'd recommend seeing her for any PT needs. Overall the staff is very nice, everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcomed when you're there. Trish, in the front is on it! Always finds a way to get you in and always is there waiting with a smile to greet you! 10/10 would recommend

Astonishing!! Excellent!! There are no words adequate to express how incredibly skilled and caring everyone at Imua Physical Therapy in Kihei, Hawaii is at the work they have been trained and educated to do. Several months ago I began physical therapy with multiple structural and post operation extreme problems. Victoria, Melissa, Christine, Trish and Susan gave me the encouragement to get well again. They have basically rebuilt my body better than ever. I thank my Father in heaven for leading me to the best people for help.
They are excellent at what they do.

All of the staff at the Kihei office have impressed me with not only their level of expertise and professionalism but also the warmth kindness that I have observed them offer all of their clients and especially to me. My primary therapist, Christine La Chance, is the most knowledgeable and helpful physical therapist I have ever worked with. She quickly diagnosed my physical issues and helped in expediting and XRay and MRI through my primary care physician. Her direction regarding therapeutic exercises, as well as her specific treatments and taping, have combined to help me achieve a rapid and marked improvement in my range of motion and mobility. I was a bit hesitant to go to a PT, not knowing what to expect. Being 59 and not ever seeking a professional to over come injuries I had acquired had me feeling uneasy...a trust thing. But, my first visit was amazing from the moment I walked in. I was greeted with a smile and guided through the paperwork to make it fast and easy, kindly asked how I was that day and reassured I would be in very capable hands.
Meeting my PT was stress free and we talked about a plan to accomplish my goals, set new patterns to help me go about my daily life events and all without talking down to me. As each goal is met we set new ones. She also put in the paperwork so that I may receive the equipment needed to facilitate the redirection of fluid in my lower limbs.
I am completely comfortable and excited to be in her care as we work towards a better more healthy future so I can be the care giver I want to be for my family members who need me to be there...healthy and not just getting by. Thanks to everyone at Imua I see a bright future.

From the very first phone call, I have experienced professional and friendly service. The receptionist, Trish, always has a welcoming greeting, competently handles any insurance and financial matters, and diligently works with my schedule to book my appointments. My PT, Robert Silva, is highly qualified, experienced, and professional. He stays with you throughout the appointment to oversee how you’re performing the exercises, attuned to any nuances affecting my injury. He is calm, relatable, approachable. He listens to my concerns and questions and explains his answers with insightful clarity. I’ve learned a lot from him about how the body functions. I highly recommend this office’s services, particularly Robert Silva as PT.

I was referred to Imua physical therapy after shoulder surgery it has been a very pleasant experience, everyone there has such a positive and professional attitude they really care about my recovery. Trish at the front always greets me with a great attitude and is so helpful. My therapists Robert, Ashley and Melissa are the best they really care about their patients. I would recommend Imua to anyone that needs therapy to them they are the best.

I was referred to a Imua PT after an auto accident in July 2021.
I am one who normally doesn't enjoy appointments in general especially the medical type.
After being treated for several months I will say with confidence that these folks have made it easy for me to feel comfortable, and heal. The office staff is friendly, and the therapists are professionally minded and easy to work with.

Travis is a Physical Therapist with over 25 years of experience and has immense knowledge about helping people recover from injury and/or surgery. He helped me recover from a massive rotator cuff tear & I always felt like I was in good hands with him.

I have had multiple spinal injuries (car accidents, roller derby) and had just been tolerating low levels of pain until they climbed up and it started to affect me in a way ibuprofen wasn’t helping anymore. I went to Victoria at IMUA expecting a long road and moderate results and was blown away at the relief I got from one session and a week of home exercise she prescribed. My pain levels haven’t been below a 1 in years and I am now consistently pain free. She’s an absolute genius. Highly recommend this place.

Imua Physical Therapy can keep you going with your program from the mainland. They were very accommodating and fit me in for several weeks while I was on Maui. Victoria was great and I made good progress while I was there. Also there was a yoga class on Monday evenings that I went to a few times. If you are here for a short time, give them a call. Highly recommended.

I went to Imua Physical Therapy after double mastectomy to resolve swelling and discomfort around incision sites. The therapists (Tiffany and Emily) were both wonderful....so caring, kind, present and helpful. I got to go to the new Upcountry location the last two times and it is a beautiful office, well appointed, great view....and of course, the people are SO nice. Really can't imagine a better situation for a difficult situation!

I'm so very glad that I chose Imua. After suffering a dislocated shoulder during surfing, my biggest priority was to confidently get back in the water as soon as possible. Bobby, Emily, and Ashley were professional, diligent, and really fun to work with. The exercises were spot-on, versatile to keep it interesting, and they made me work hard (at my request!). In a matter of weeks, I was without pain. I am discharged with a plan to keep my strength up. I'm glad to report that I'm back in the water. Thank you to all of the Imua team for making this such a pleasant experience!

Bobby at Imua PT his been helping me to regain my strength and flexibility after having two hip surgeries. His knowledge, guidance and encouragement have gotten me beyond pain and immobility to a place where I am able to resume many of the activities I used to enjoy. I also have a better understanding of what I need to do to continue my recovery.
