Dr. Hanks and his staff are amazing. I was very impressed with his patients and energy with my 4 yo old daughter who has high anxiety with doctors. She left happy and excited to go back. I highly recommend his practice.

Maui Pediatric Dentistry team is awesome! Dr. Hanks is friendly & knows how to make the kids feel comfortable! My little ones hasn’t cried at all during their visits & never hesitated to go. We’ve went through 3 pediatric dentist and he was the best one, I wish we found him sooner! Staff is also very friendly!

Doctor Hanks is amazing and works with autistic kids. He goes over and beyond for us and does a phenomenal job with getting my son's teeth cleaned. Finally we have a doctor who he is comfortable with. We love this clinic! This is truly a dentist who is passionate in what they do. Thank you Doctor Hanks to you and your staff! You all are incredible!

Dr. Hanks is SO WONDERFUL! He is kind, gentle, thoroughly explained everything before, during and after my children’s appointments. My kids love going to his office and as a parent, I love that my children love going to the dentist. The office is immaculately clean and the office staff are very friendly and caring. I am so appreciative that Dr. Hanks serves our Maui community. The best pediatric dentist on island!

Right after we left my 5 year old son’s dental cleaning and check up, his first words were, “Mom, I love the dentist.” And it just melted my heart. Dr Hanks is so kind, funny, patient and so clearly a dad himself; he just adores and respects children and you can sense that. He’s resourceful and clever and also a fantastic dentist. He went to clearly cares about the health of my child’s teeth. He spends time w us, answers all my questions and does a thorough, complete job. We feel like we matter. We do not feel like just another number. The entire office staff is friendly and helpful. Each time we have the best dental experience ever. I highly recommend supporting this practice if you have kids.

Dr. Hanks is strongly recommended. He does an amazing job with the kids. He allows parents to stay with their children. He uses very comforting words to describe the procedure to children. His staff are very friendly. I can’t say enough about how satisfied I am with his work and manners.

OMG, Dr. Hanks is DA BEST. We live in Lahaina, and majority of the highly recommended dentists were in either Kihei or Wailuku. We are SO lucky that Maui Pediatric Dentistry opened an office right on front street. It's not only convenient, but also my keiki have since actually begged me to come back to Dr. Hanks' office. You have NO idea how big a deal this is: my son's first pediatric dentist in California is phenomenal, but no matter how fun and nice she was, my son HATED even just sitting in the chair. With Dr. Hanks, it's like I have a different child completely. He got 2 crowns and I didn't hear a single peep or complaint from my boy the whole time, and then afterward, he even begged to come with us when his baby sister had an appointment (from knocking her tooth loose after a fall while playing) the following week. They also accept our insurance (Delta Dental) which is so nice, because sometimes the Dr. is great, but they're out of network. Anyway, literally everyone in the office is super-helpful. Dr. Hanks makes sure to answer both my and my kids' questions before during and after, and when I've called in to ask advice or help, they're very quick to respond, thoughtful, and efficient. Very welcoming, and not intimidating (even for a young child like my 2 year old, or for a child like my 5 year old with previous trauma or aversion or bad experience from another dentist). All around, after already a total 4 appointments since they opened at the 505, I haven't been disappointed and my 2 little ones re happy. I highly recommend.

Nicest pediatric dentist! Dr. Hanks goes the extra mile for every child. He just understands how kids think and makes the visits fun. I appreciate his conservative and thoughtful approach to dental treatment. It is clear to me that he makes a real effort to treat every child as if they were his own.

I have a 5 year old who never went to the dentist before until October of this year. Dr Hanks has a very welcoming office and Nancy even talked to my son over the phone when he was scared. Dr Hanks is AMAZING with children, I wish he had an adult practice.

Dr Hanks and his staff are always so professional and good with the kids. My toddler feels comfortable and is very cooperative which says a lot.
