Huelo Pt Lookout Bed and Breakfast Maui

We had a fantastic stay at Haleakala Cottage at Huelo Point B&B. The cottage was beautiful and secluded, but stocked with all the basics we needed (loved the fresh eggs from their friendly chickens!). The staff left us flowers to welcome us and contacted us to let us know the cottage was ready for check in a little earlier than we expected. There is a full kitchen, small library and very comfortable bed. The hot tub was fantastic for star gazing after sunset - so many stars! The only caution I would offer is that the road up to the cottage is pretty rugged - mind the request to drive slowly and watch for pot holes and rocks. We loved out time there and I would definitely love to stay again if we make it back to Maui!

Absolutely terrific unique place to stay on Maui, with unbeatable settings and views, as well as with amazing hosts and their gentle and responsive support throughout the entire stay! I come to Maui every year over last 30 or so, and I cannot overstate the quality of place and level of support by the hosts! Most definitely recommend it!

Our recent stay was wonderful. The place has so much character and charm. Upon arrival there was a basket of fruit, fresh baked bread, eggs, coffee and so much more. When we return one day we will absolutely stay again. We already told friends about it as well.

We went to three islands and this place was hands down the best place we stayed. Communication with the owner was excellent. When we arrived everything felt personalized. It was the perfect distance from everything that we wanted to do. Our cottage was spotless and all the grounds were very well maintained. The kitchen very well stocked, and even had fresh eggs and bread. If we ever make it back to Maui, we will be staying here!

It was like home, just more beautiful. The sunrise walk is glorious. The “property management” staff is super-kind, everyone so sweet. Personal hot tub clean and water kept fresh. I really like how environmentally conscious this place is. The outside as beautiful as the inside. Really special place. I was actually sad to leave the Cottage, so happy there. Highly recommend!

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. The hosts and amount of communication are amazing. This home is just outside the busy areas of the island which gives a very private and secluded feel but yet you’re still just a short drive to amazing food, shopping etc. If you are considering this place I would 100% recommend. We will not stay anywhere else in Maui.

Amazing location for a romantic getaway. Sharyn was very nice - she provided fresh fruit, eggs, and bread upon our arrival. It's a private location. Hot tub and pool are well-maintained. Finally, the cliff walk is incredible! It's not a hike, just a short walk. The photos don't even do it justice.

The most beautiful secluded retreat! Sparkling clean. The owners were incredible. Friendly, quick to respond to any questions and attentive to all our needs, but very respectful of our privacy as well. I could not have asked for a better home, this place was absolutely magical. Will definitely be back!

I loved everything about my stay. It’s a place to unwind, escape, and enjoy the natural beauty of Maui. Views are spectacular. Hospitality was top notch. Accommodations were comfortable and no detail of a lovely stay was left out. I will return again!

One of the finest places to stay on Maui. A real, honest Hawaiian vibe at this perfect home - not a shiny, manicured golf course sort of place. Beautiful sunrises over the trees, a great breeze to keep it cool, wonderful grounds and pool. Definitely a great find.

Ohh this little cottage is so wonderful! We had the best stay on our honeymoon here. I highly recommend it! The cliff views were stunning. It was very clean and organized. We played so many games on mancala and that bed is prob top 3 most comfortable best I’ve ever slept in. Quite possibly the best. I will be dreaming of that bed.

It was such a nice escape staying here with my girl, it really gave us that “Hawaii”/in nature feel which for us was perfect & such a fun mix up from your usual generic hotel stay. These guys really made the experience so smooth as well & the two times I did message them a question they got right back to me & gave great tips on where/what we should go check out. Thank you too the Stone family, 10/10 experience & we’ll definitely be back!

The house was beautiful. There wasn't a bad view in any of the rooms. The cliff hike/walk is something that is unique and a must do while staying here.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was so perfect! The house is so cute and cozy. The hosts were incredible and very welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again!!

Wow, what an amazing place Huelo Point is for a unique, beautiful, and romantic place to stay! We were welcomed with fresh flowers and lots of goodies in the kitchen. The cottage was spacious with beautiful outdoor areas along with an outdoor shower and hot tub that is amazing under the quiet starry skies. It was the perfect destination to celebrate our anniversary and explore the north side of the island. Sharyn and Kai were great hosts! The communication was fantastic and they helped with everything we needed. We can't wait to book our next stay!

If you’re looking for a bnb to transcend your love life through the realm of mere passion, then this is your destiny. It was a symphony of love, a ballet of emotions, a saga of romance. Breakfast was a poetic sonnet glided with the golden rays of the morning sun, perfectly composed by our lovely host Sharron. In the twilight hours, we enjoyed the amenities under the stars igniting the flames of passion my husband and I shared the night we met. Thank you Huelo Point Look Out!

Our stay at Huelo Point Lookout was amazing! It was the perfect location for my family - an incredibly beautiful and quiet natural hideaway to return "home" to each day after exploring Maui. We loved finishing each day sitting in our private hot tub surrounded by the rainforest. Our kids loved exploring the property, swinging in the hammock, and searching for lizards and frogs.

The property is arranged in a way that provides for a lot of privacy. The accommodations are very nice, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and there was also an enclosed (screens) outdoor cooking area which we especially loved to use. The owners were very responsive when there was something extra we needed (an extra foldaway bed, boogie boards, a cooler for the beach). And on the loaded bookshelves they had my favorite guidebooks (Lonely Planet and Moon Travel guides) in addition to other books. Another plus is that we could use the laundry room. When we had questions the owners' son Kai would swing by to help.

The owners did a great job communicating in advance of our trip. And when we arrived late at night there was juice, a bottle of wine, fresh bread, eggs from their chickens, and fresh fruit from the property awaiting our arrival.

We would absolutely want to stay here again!!!

This is a superb place to stay and if you stay here, you will feel that you are almost in paradise. The home was fantastic with gorgeous ocean views and breezes. The host is also fantastic- one of the best we have ever dealt with.

We stayed at the Star Cottage at Huelo Point Lookout, and it was truly a gem of an experience!

The cottage itself is adorable and the owners gave us such a warm welcome with fresh native flowers placed on the towels and in every room as well as a couple welcome gifts in the kitchen. They made up the day bed for our son, and he loved his space. We appreciated having our bed in the loft area.

The property is immaculate and private. We swam in the pool shared by 2 other cottages and never saw anyone so it felt like our personal pool. We did have a private hot tub which was fantastic. I especially loved the outdoor shower which we used every day - we never even used the indoor one.

There is a walk to the cliffs overlooking the ocean and we saw sunsets and sunrises from this point. So special.

It was so convenient to be on the Road to Hana. We were super close to Twin Falls where we swam in the waterfall pools. It also gave us a head start to get to Hana before traffic got bad. We got up early to attend our reservation from 7-10 a.m. at the Black Sand Beach near Hana which was a highlight. We did the sunset at Haleakala and being on that side of the island made the trip shorter. We could get to Paia pretty quickly....shopping, eating, beaches....everything you need!
