CrossFit Upcountry Maui

I dropped in here while on vacation to do an Open WOD. I loved the vibe. Coach Frank was awesome and gave great workout prep. All-around, the people were super cool and energetic. The gym feels like a huge barn with open air, and all the equipment you'd need at a CrossFit gym. I'd highly recommend this gym if you're looking to drop in while visiting the island.

We dropped in during our recent trip to Maui. The coaches and members were very welcoming. The workout was great. I love the open air layout of the barn and how much breeze they get on the mountainside. They also had great space for everyone.

This CrossFit box has become one of my favorite things to do. I just started training 5 months ago so I’m still in the process of learning the movements & my body capabilities. The coaches are very caring; they take the time to explain all the different movements and variations and prioritize proper form. Special shout-out to Ron who is the sweetest coach and always brings a beautiful energy of encouragement and community to every class. His attitude definitely makes the difference; inspiring athletes to push themselves and creating a competitive and yet collaborative atmosphere. I am excited to keep learning and becoming stronger! I have been doing CrossFit for over five years at Upcountry CrossFit. It’s the best! A great gym in a cool setting with dedicated coaches who care.

Found this awesome gym while staying in haiku. Everyone was so welcoming, and the workout was exactly what my girlfriend needed! The space was well utilized and very unique

Super welcoming community with knowledgeable owners. Was happy to find a gym with an extensive lifting area that allowed me to do my own workouts while on vacation in Maui. Also let me jump in on their programming a few times. Definitely worth the drop in fee!

Did a drop in outside of the regular class times Wednesday around 1145am and was lucky enough to get the gym to myself. Not only did the gym have everything I needed as well as cool extras I also had the privilege of meeting the owner Frank! He was professional and welcoming and even took time to help me with my workout! Thanks for the help on the power cleans Frank!!! You rock!

Dropped in for a WOD while visiting my family on Maui with my wife (who is very new to CrossFit). The owner Frank talked story with us and was super friendly. Everyone we met was friendly. Frank went out of his way to understand my wife's needs and experience and modified the WOD for her. I have been to many boxes and this was the MOST friendly box I've ever been to for a drop in. I highly recommend it! Thanks so much Frank!!!

The owners Frank and Kehau do a great job with this gym. ALL of the coaches are awesome, I've been working out here for almost 2 years and haven't had one bad experience and many beautiful moments. Thank you!

I came in to do 17.1 from the UK and Frank had been great with communication in the lead up to coming and in also reassuring - on arrival he spotted me right away and welcomed me in. It wasn't long before quit a few of the regular members had come and introduced themselves which really helped calm my nerves. We discussed and practiced tactics while waiting. During the wod I fell off the box and as soon as I was done, someone was there with an ice pack instantly. This is a really lovely community and the support I had as a drop in was no different to the other regular members. I highly recommend this place and if I ever come back I will definitely stop in again!

Crossfit Upcountry Maui has become our "home away from home" for crossfit workouts. Kehau and Frank provide excellent (and challenging) programming as well as feedback and advice. The community is diverse in age, making Masters (such as one of us!) feel comfortable, and is welcoming to drop-ins. We very much enjoyed our recent 10 days at the box, our second visit, and look forward to next year. If you are spending time on Maui, this is the box you want to join for your stay.

I love crossfit, so of course I loved it even more on Maui. All of the members were very nice and welcoming, as well as the coach. It was a fun WOD, and we bought some cool shirts to bring back home :)

I love this place so much. The owners and all the coaches are so attentive and accommodating to all fitness levels and abilities. The sense of community that Frank and Kehau have fostered here is perhaps my favorite part.

Fairly new to crossfit. Did unlimited week, and couldn't be happier. This place is rad!
Coach Kaika is really helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back during future visits.

I joined upcountry crossfit out of curiosity I had heard mixed messages about crossfit
Thoes people are extreme, people get hurt a lot, it's only for extremely athletic people. I have found that at upcountry crossfit not true. There are people of all kinds I felt right at home even though I am not a natural. This is so out of the box got me. But the instructor's make me feel great with each little step forward. The best thing about upcountry crossfit is the people and the results even if you're still learning you get a great workout. The benefits I have found are at work and at home. I feel more confident stronger and better equipped to take on life's challenges.

Great gym for visitors- everyone was friendly and welcoming and the programming was great with a thorough warm-up. Definitely recommend a stop by this gym- their talent and motivation are inspiring.
