Maui Car Rentals

We had a good experience. The shuttle pick up and drop off from/to the airport was quick and drivers were friendly. The vehicle was waiting for us when we arrived. The vehicle was a 2018 and very reasonably priced. The vehicle had some flaws but was reliable with cold AC.

I came to Maui 3 years ago with some friends and they gave us a incredible price as well as very thorough instructions for pick up and drop off of the car. We were extremely pleased with our experience as we were on a tight budget. Now that I am thinking of going back, I won't even bother looking at other car rental companies. Provided very clean, reliable and well maintained car.

We had an excellent experience with this rental agency. The vehicle worked great, was clean, and the rental price was very reasonable. My father also accidentally left his phone on the rental shuttle and they graciously returned the phone to him at the airport before he flew home. This is a small but good company to rent with 👍

Their customer service is amazing. I worked with Minnie and she was so helpful, kind and patient. We had originally been booked for a 2007 Toyota Corolla and I called back a couple weeks before our trip to see if anything newer had opened up and sure enough they got me in a 2014 Toyota Corolla for a cheaper rate. Never felt like I was a bother even though I called about 5 times before our trip 😬😬. When we go back we will use them again. Reliable car, good prices and great customer service!!!! Thank you!!

I have been using Maui Car Rentals for the past few years and just realized I've never left a review! This is an outstanding business. They provide older model, SAFE, dependable cars that will get you anywhere you need to go, and you don't stick out like a tourist. The customer service has been consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. The prices can't be beat either. And the best part is you support a local business rather than a large corporation. Best car rental service on Maui, bar none. These guys are really easy to work with. They have the best prices, easily. On both of our trips to Maui they’ve given us great cars to get around the island. Please don’t use any of the big car rental companies. I’m not sure why you would rent a jeep or mustang like every other pretentious tourist seems to do when you could support a great local business like this one.

This rental company is top notch and the prices cannot be beat for the luxury and quality vehicles that they provide. They met us at the airport for the drop off and pick up of the vehicle. The suv was fully loaded and came with quality beach chairs and a yeti cooler for beach use. We drove all over the island and had a stellar experience with the reliable vehicle that they provided. Communication was prompt and easy should you have any questions. I would recommend Maui SUV rentals to anyone visiting Maui and in need of a vehicle! I am going back to Maui next month and I have already contacted them to set up my rental. They have gained a repeat customer for all of my Maui visits.

Fantastic experience, these guys were great on the phone, very courteous, kept me updated via email, and made it easy for me to pick up and drop off the vehicle (which was exactly as described and clean inside and out). Best of all, they were very upfront about exactly what I would be charged for the car and there were no unexpected charges or last-minute changes. We rented a car for a month, and it was an awesome deal. Relatively newer car, and worked perfectly. It is impossible to tell its a rental, so no problems with break ins. Looks like a local car.

Affordable, on time, friendly staff, and very accommodating. We arrived after hours so they dropped the car off at the airport parking lot for us with directions on how to return it, which was such a great service. We have rented from these guys every time we go to Maui. Its always nice to support local business... especially when they provide such good service. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this company for anyone traveling to Maui. We rented a car from Maui Car Rentals for 7 days. I wanted to write these guys a review as our whole experience was so wonderful. I made my booking online, they left the car in the parking lot for us to get when we arrived at the airport. Didn’t have to wait in any airport bus lines to go to the car rental agency or anything. Only 5min from the airport so even if you have to uber, which we did because our flight arrived late, they offer great shuttle service. Our vehicle was nice looking more like a local and not like everyone else driving a camero, mustang, or Jeep wrangler. When we were finished we brought the car back to them and Patty drove us to the airport. Was super helpful and so quick from the time we dropped the car back to them to being dropped back to the airport. Highly recommend renting a car from them if your looking at different options than the large rental companies at half the price. A+

Excellent car and service from this local agency. Cheaper than all the national chains by a factor of 25-40%. They rent older, "experienced" cars which are in great shape AND do not call attention to themselves like the flashy tourist-mobiles which are often bait for smash-and-grabs if you park anywhere remote. Our Honda CRV had miles on it, but drove well and easily handled the road around Haleakala. They are located off-airport, but getting to them is easy. We showed up late on Sunday from all-day flight from CT and car was waiting for us. When we returned the car, they drove us the 8 minutes to the airport. Highly recommend.

The team at Maui Car Rentals went above and beyond to make our rental experience as pleasant as possible. When we needed an extra day added, they graciously worked out a solution for us despite the shortage of rental cars on the island. Furthermore they did not up charge us for the extra day and honored the original rate that we used. You should 100% support this locally owned business.

These guys really helped me out and were willing to work with me every step of the way for my rental on my honeymoon last week. Can't say enough good things about them. They were kind enough to leave my rental in the airport lot as my flight was delayed and i was worried i wouldn't make it in time to claim my reserved car. Some other places could have easily cancelled the reservation and give out the vehicle, or hold it until the next day but they instead did what was best for me. Absolutely amazed on how nice this company is!!!! Price was very low and doable. Able to find a a car when the entire island was empty! Very accommodating regarding with drop off time! Pick up and drop off at the airport. The gentleman who picked us up gave awesome recommendations and ways around the island! Car only needed gas once and we traveled the entire island! Highly recommend! Would go here before any other rental car place on the island.

Great car rental. Prices were very reasonable even though main companies were price gouging. Quick pickup from airport. They weren’t open yet when we returned car but there was someone there, so he took us early and we didn’t have to take an Uber. Great family business. We will be back again!

From the first phone call, to the return and drop off at the airport, the customer service was excellent! Very friendly and easy to deal with. I requested a rear facing baby car seat and it was there for when we arrived. There was no issues with the car. Great price. Highly recommend if you are looking for something to get around the island with, and don't care about newer models.

The owners Patti and ?Russ?(sorry) were great. We were picked up from the airport with hardly any wait. The price for the week was very affordable and the car was comfortable and dependable. It wasn't a brand new car so we looked like a local! We will definitely rent from them again, fabulous company!

When the demand and prices of car rentals were high at the airport, I reached out to Maui Car Rentals. Not only did they offer me a better deal, but also were willing to price match and actually beat the competitors’ pricing a few months later when the prices did go down. The receptionist gave us recommendations to grab a bite to eat and was more than willing to answer our questions.

Locals will know best when it come to good eats at decent prices. I highly recommend this place not only for the service but their hospitality.

For the cars, they are more local based cars, which allow you to blend in and look less like a tourist. I am happy with their car Hyundai Elantra, nothing special but we're making adventures on Maui thanks to this car
