My mom and I absolutely loved Dr Kaiwi!!We loved him like Ohana ! We even bought him a shirt for his 50 th birthday! That’s how the vibe was in the office..like one big family! Dr.K really cared for our well being and did not want us to suffer in pain ! No he did not just throw pills at us . He set us with physical therapy, he would give us referrals to the best specialist to help with our issues ,no ego . Who ever could help he would make it happen. I was saddened when I heard the news of the arrest.I accompanied my mom to one last appointment afterwards and it was very emotional for all of us ! I only wish the best for Dr.Kaiwi & all the girls in the office & of course Dr.K’s Ohana.God Bless 🙏❤

Best doctor I have had to date by a large margin. Dr. Kaiwi made sure all my needs were addressed. He was able to figure out an issue that had five previous doctors completely stumped (it has been a long struggle). Over the past years since he has been my doctor, my experience with Dr. Kaiwi has only been positive. My quality of life has majorly improved. Dr. Kaiwi's bedside manner is top notch, he is encouraging, funny, and makes you feel comfortable all at the same time! I have recommended him to several of my closest friends. In my wife's experience he has said that he prefers to transition people over to non-controlled medication when there is a better alternative available, this is probably a good thing for the most people but can be a deal-breaker for some so this is just a heads up. He and his office staff went the extra mile, spending hours upon hours jumping through endless hoops to get my wife cutting-edge medical equipment to help her condition. Dr. Kaiwi worked diligently on this, even when the insurance protested. Dr. Kaiwi didn't take the easy way out by simply prescribing controlled pain medicine like the insurance has been pushing for, no, he worked hard and repeatedly fought them on her behalf, that is the mark of a good doctor, one that goes the extra mile just to make sure patient needs are met. We need more intentionally compassionate and caring doctors like Dr. Kaiwi.

I have been seeing Dr. Kaiwi for 15yrs now and he has always been kind, compassionate, and caring. He also was my grandparents pain management doctor until they moved, and they miss him very much. Before passing away my grandmother spoke very highly of Dr. Kaiwi and what a great doctor he is. The Negative reviews really upsets me, because I know Dr. Kaiwi would never treat a patient rudely. I am very fortunate that Dr. Kaiwi is my doctor, I couldn't imagine trusting another doctor as much as I trust him. I highly recommend Dr. Kaiwi and his amazing staff.
P.S. The ladies in the front are friendly and helpful. Dr. Kaiwi's nurses are also wonderful! You can't go wrong having him as your doctor.

Doctor Kaiwi & his staff are THE BEST... They are the most professional, caring, clean, thorough and very communicative. I love the intimacy are his own practice where they know me by name. Doctor Kaiwi takes the time to listen and address all medical needs.I would recommend to anyone in need of an amazing Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Kaiwi is a compassionate caring doctor. He is available when you need him. His appointments are always on time, no wait time. I have been seeing Dr. Kaiwi for 8 years now and I am very pleased. He also sees both of my daughters and they love him too!!

I had just moved to Maui for a job that evaporated shortly after arriving with my family. I was having severe hip and back pain from past fractures and fusion as well as total hip replacement, Dr. Kaiwi agreed to take me and treat me even though my insurance was from the mainland. His waiting room was often crowded, but every time I went in, everyone was kind and courteous while Dr. Kaiwi was especially compassionate and treated me with kindness and respect. I have since moved to Oahu, but my experience with Dr. Kaiwi was the best when I was reaching the end of my rope.

DR Paul Kaiwai is the best pain managment dr in the Big Island .And im sure da best on Maui. Been seeing him here in Hilo many years.

U want to know why a Dr and a Vet would want to help us here with our pain. Its because he cares. I would reccomend him to anybody.if it wernt for him, the east hawaii patients would be in permanent pain. Thanks Dr Paul

Dr.Kaiwi and his staff are some of the best in Hawaii! Our family have been seeing them for the last decade and are continually amazed at how they go above and beyond to help their patients. 5☆+

Still a happy and very much cared about patient here. Crass? No, not Dr. Kaiwi, not even on his worse day...if ever he had one. He and his staff care more about their patients than most other doctors do.

I believe that Dr. Kaiwi has helped me enjoy a quality of life that I couldn't enjoy without my pain medication! God Bless You, Dr. Kaiwi and your Staff, for ALL your help.

Dr. Kaiwi and his very helpful and friendly staff make my visits more comfortable and I thank God that he understands what his patients are feeling and accommodate them accordingly....
