Hertz Car Rental - Maui, Kahului - Maui Beach HLE

I had the best customer service experience at this Hertz. I reserved a compact car online for one day and picked it up immediately. *Online prices were cheaper than in person. I was having a great time and called the next day for an extension, it was processed within minutes! The drop off was seem less too. 10 mins from OGG Airport, this will be my go to spot in Maui.

After reading a lot of bad reviews I bit the bullet after getting a great rate and booked here as I have had good luck with Hertz in the past.

The dates we rented were Feb 7-14 2023.

First things first. This location and the people who work here are great!

This location is located in the lobby of the Maui Beach Hotel about 15 feet from where our Uber Dropped us off.

It is a short 8 min ride from the Airport, My Uber there was 12 bucks and 9 bucks back. It got me there fast.

We unloaded our luggage on the hotel steps and left it there while we got our car.

There was nobody in line and there were two people behind the counter who were more than happy to help us with AMAZING
and super friendly helpful attitudes.

We completed the paperwork and were out of there in about 5 minutes.

Because this location is not in the Airport you don't get hit with Airport taxes which really add up. We got a Mustang GT convertible for the week for only $488. Most places had it almost double that some had it more than double.

The drop off was just as easy as the pick up. We pulled right up to the front of the hotel. Parked the car 15 feet from the Hertz desk and we were out of there in less than 5 min. I even offered to drive the car back to the lot, about 100 ft away, and put the car back where I picked it up. They said nope and they would take care of it.

I am not sure why there were all the bad reviews I read but I can personally assure you that my experience wasn't even remotely similar to theirs.

Fast service. Nice car. It’s only 2-3 minutes to walk to the counter from the terminal…faster then the shuttle probably.

This agency is about a 10 minute drive from the airport by taxi but my experience was wonderful. It’s a quiet and friendly office. I booked through Kayak which booked through another site that reserved the car at a very reasonable price. When I got there there was no car. I don’t blame them. I only question the two or three party booking system, I’ve seen issues before. Chris and the staff were wonderful and reassuring they would have a car for us. He sent me on a short walk for lunch and when We got back I had a car ready to go. They really came through.

The car rental place is inside the Hotel's lobby, it's not very easy to find it as there are not too many signs about it. Otherwise we had a great experience, staff was super nice and friendly, explained everything important in detail. Car was good, we didn't have any issues. If you wanna take advantage of the cheaper prices compared to the airport, it's a great option!

We just got back from our trip to Maui and after hearing so many terrible stories about rental cars in general this summer (due to covid) I was expecting that when I showed up we might have to wait in line forever, the car might not be available, or the prices might have been raised significantly... all things I'd heard when planning my trip. None of that! We showed up, they had our car ready for us, it was the same price as estimated, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The car was spotless and drove well. I was surprised & impressed. Had to leave a review. Just a quick Uber/Lyft ride will get you to/from the airport & save you money by not picking up there. Thanks Hertz Maui Beach Hotel!

I reserved a minivan back in April, and had no issue picking up on June 4th and returning via drop box on June 19th! Clean vehicle, super friendly staff and very easy pickup and drop off. Saved more than 60% getting the minivan here vs. from the airport! 100% will rent here again!

Don't freak out because of one bad review, that's exactly what I did before my vacation and it was super stressful but everything worked out and my car was there after I reserved it. The service was great but don't expect Corporate Hertz to reply or communicate with you before a reservation occurs.

The staff was great, we arrived early and were upgraded because we are gold members. Very happy using this hertz for our rental car needs.

Have rented here a few times - good, clean cars and great service. Sabrina was able to help us sort out a few different changes we made during the course of a rental which we greatly appreciated.

Courtesy ride to airport after dropping off car. We did not know they had this and they offered it. Attendants were pleasant and helpful.

There was no shuttle to get here from the airport or from the other Hertz location closer to the airport. Taxi cab ride was $12 plus tip.

The vehicles offered here are in great shape. Had no issues with reservations! The staff at this location is very knowledgeable about places to visit as well! Will definitely use there services WHEN I return to Maui!

This Hertz rental is in a Hotel so it's hours of operation is limited. The representative was very accommodating. Customer service is top rated.

Always a great service. This is a great location, super amazing staff and they are usually super prompt and helpful. This Hertz location is next level.

Outside of the airport and a taxi is required but I got a better deal than at the airport. A new car and a lower price. Service was excellent as well.

A great place to rent if u are coming from the NCL. Why rent a scooter for the price of a car? Chavelle will hook you up right! They'll pick you up and drop u off. Aloha Spirit all duh way Brah! And make sure you bring ur comfy slippah's!! located inside the Maui Beach Hotel....
