"Zombie Punch" that I had was very yummy! Trey gave us the Kava ceremony and also he was very knowledgeable. We had a great time there.

The drinks were pretty good, interesting flavor. I'd never had kava before, so I didn't know what to expect. The drinks definitely taste like a root, which makes total sense. I liked the environment, and the service was friendly.

I happened to find Aumakua Kava Lounge while staying in Paia. It was completely by chance. I knew nothing of Kava, prior to coming across this magical place in the corner of the little business complex. I simply walked by, and this tiki inspired place caught my eye and seemed inviting, so I poked my head in. I was met by this wonderfully positive and knowledgeable bartender Ash. The vibe, the atmosphere, the amazing staff and the variety of drinks kept me coming back every day I was there. With live music, karaoke and other wonderful evening events, it was hard to want to go anywhere else. On my solo journey across the island, this was by far one of my most favorite places I had visited. I didn't get an opportunity to stop in and say goodbye when I left, but I hope this review is enough, until I come back. Mahalo friends ❤🌺

I’m so glad we stopped in here on our visit to Maui. Though we’re typically kratom drinkers, we had a shell of Hawaiian Kava with our lovely kavatender and I’m so glad we did - it tasted so wonderful and the effects were lovely! The mixed drinks here were to die for. All the ingredients are local and made in-house, and the mocktails are so creative and taste incredible. Loved everything from the drinks to the style of the little spot and the fantastic service! Do yourself a favor and stop in, you won’t regret it!

Krista is amazing and made us feel very welcome and much better about ourselves, as we have been misplaced from Lahaina and spent the previous days trying to figure out life. We had some kava, and let her make us a Saturn Return and a Zombie Punch, both of which were great! I'm not sure how much longer we'll be upcountry, but I'll definitely be coming back here whenever I'm in the area!

A place not to be missed when visiting Paia! This little kava bar is a great hideaway for those who want to relax and enjoy that iconic island bar scene feel without necessarily wanting to start their night with a bunch of booze. Tucked away in a cozy corner, this space almost reminds one of the prohibition speakeasy style bars. It's definitely a great place for those looking for a chill evening with a few friends, a place to mingle without having to yell over the usual music of a bar venue, and most importantly, getting some kava! While also offering the more traditional style, this bar also offers delicious 'mock'tails that are sweet, fruity, and served with some awesome island flair! I definitely recommend the "fishbowl" for its cute presentation and great flavor.

Chris was welcoming and explained what kava is and how it works. We had the Hemingway, Hurricane, Zombie, Mai Tai and a Punch. Our fave was the Mai tai, Hemingway and Zombie. So yummy and perfect for relaxing our very long flights. Wish we would have found you sooner in our travels!

Husband and I absolutely loved this place. Went to it multiple times and had wonderful service and great experience. 10-10 can’t wait to come back in December.

Chris was just the best, good conversation, very knowledgeable about Kava, just all around great person. We were skeptical about Kava going in, but the drinks they put it in makes it taste pretty good. We even bought a bag of kava to make ourselves!

In the same building the owner has devoted a healing space for yoga, sound baths and more. I am very grateful for the experience I had at the sound healing, I will be coming back here when I visit Maui again. Mahalo!!

A lovely cozy space that truly champions the gift of Kava. Everyone who works here is friendly and welcoming. Beautiful lighting, homey artistic, clean, earthy interior. They have a wide selection of kava from different sources, useful info and unique flavors. Equally impressive is the Kava lounges ongoing events. There are concerts, djs, musicians and open mics all week bringing people together to foster community when we need it most! Well done! 🌎🌎

So I'm a bit of a craft cocktail nerd who has visited a fair amount of bars over the years but had no idea what to expect from a kava lounge. I swear, the bartender here might be the friendliest most outgoing person I've ever met in my life. My first reaction to meeting her was that if this is what kava makes people feel like then I think I am done with alcohol and switching to this wonder plant.

Sure enough, kava is an interesting experience and the drinks were pretty well made. The flavor profiles from the juices and syrups were not quite as strong as I might have liked but the ingredients were solid. The vibes in the lounge were very chill, I definitely would go back. My fellow cocktail nerds would do well to give this place a try if they are in the area as well.

Stopped in with some friends and had a fabulous time. Josh was behind the bar and he was amazing. He knew everything and recommended the perfect drinks. Will definitely be back especially when they have live music.

Drinks are amazing! The bar has a great vibe, great selection of CBD, kava, ormus, etc, very creative, super comfortable. Staff is kind and excellent. This is THE kava bar on Maui!

We wound up here after needing a “road to Hana” break which added to my generalized anxiety. We weren’t sure what this place was but it looked fun. We sat down and had a coconut shot of kava and split a tiki type drink while talking to the very sweet bartender. The flavor was peppery and numbing on the tongue. I was more affected than my BF. After we ate I started feeling super chill - came home and went to sleep for 10.5 hours!!! It was so great to sleep like that. Now I’m looking up how to get this Kava on the regular.

Colorful tiki-style environment. I am not a "kava" drinker; but my partner wanted to try a drink from the menu, and tried the lilikoi infused drink. He seemed to enjoy it! So this place is worth a shot, enjoy!
