My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Road to Hana tour with Uncle Joe! We learned so many interesting things about the beautiful sites and surroundings that we enjoyed. Uncle Joe taught us a great deal about the native culture of beautiful Maui. The waterfalls, black sandy beach and sea turtles were treasures to see! We enjoyed breakfast at Maui Tropical Plantation and lunch with out tour group along the way. Every family needs to have an "Uncle Joe"!

This Road to Hana excursion with Valley Isle made our first trip to Maui unforgettable! Our tour guide Yvonne was kind, thoughtful, and attentive to each person throughout the entire tour. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and answered every question we had, helping us feel immersed in the local Hawaiian culture. She went above and beyond to make sure each one of us made personal memories. We truly felt like ohana by the end of our trip together! Also, her great driving skills made this daunting roadtrip enjoyable and care-free!

Our Haleakala Sunrise tour with Abe was nothing short of amazing! He gave us so much information and got us to the summit in time to have a front row view of the sunrise! Breakfast at the Tropical Plantation was incredible too— the perfect end to our long journey that morning!

We had such a great time, the bus was cool and comfortable and Alika was great! He gave us some great food recommendations and an overview of the rich Hawaiian history. He was entertaining and in true Aloha spirit, was very welcoming!

The bus picked us up from the hotel, and we made the trek up Haleakala. There are washrooms at the bottom of the hill, and and at the top. I think Valley Isle was the only tour group who provided ponchos - it was VERY windy that morning!

After seeing the beautiful sunrise (the pictures don't do it any justice), we went to the Maui plantation and had breakfast at the foot of the most beautiful view. All in all, highly recommend booking with Valley Isle to see the Haleakala sunrise.

We booked the Haleakala Sunrise Tour for Friday 2/2/24. This was my second time booking this tour with Valley Isle Excursions and even though the weather didn’t cooperate we had a great time. This is one of the only companies I have seen offer their guests warm, wind ponchos for those cold early mornings. Abe was a great guide and taught us many things about the island and Haleakala while keeping our spirits up in the rain and clouds. Thank you, Abe and Valley Isle Excursions for your hospitality. I will definitely be booking again with you!

My husband and I had a great time on our Road to Hana Tour. Much more relaxing and less stressful than doing this in the past with my family! We enjoyed all of the stops (the surprise stop that our tour guide gave us at the end was also super cool!), the food was great, and overall it was just a fun experience!

Travis, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, funny, and was always checking in to make sure we were doing okay on the drive! I appreciated his kind service, and funny nature!

Our tour guide, Travis, was absolutely incredible. His knowledge of the lands is amazing - he was informative, funny, unapologetically himself and treated us all as ohana! He prioritized our safety, but still made the ride fun, exciting and remarkably memorable. My wife and I had a great time seeing the sites, learning about the history, and getting to know Travis and our fellow tourists we met in our travels. We strongly recommend anyone thinking of booking a tour of the road to Hana to book through Tour Maui and request Travis as your guide, you will not regret it!

Great experience! Valley Isle Excursions really did a fabulous job with their Sunrise Tour of Haleakala. Abe and Alex ( tour guides and drivers) were awesome. It was a cold and windy day and the warm ponchos were an added bonus that we believe only Valley Isle offers. Sunrise at Haleakala is such a memorable and breathtaking sight. The breakfast on the plantation was super yummy. My husband especially loved the Mac nut pancakes with the homemade coconut syrup. Coffee grown on the farm was really nice too! Overall a very special day w a quality tour company…highly recommend.

We went on the Road to Hana tour (2 adults and 2 kids) and it was wonderful! Yvonne was an amazing guide. We were her 524th trip, and her expertise really showed. She is an excellent driver, and knows so much about the area and culture. We got to make several stops at neat little places, like a chocolate farm and produce stands. I’m so happy that we took the tour, and that we didn’t try to drive the road on our own. It’s definitely worth the price.

Valley Isle Excursions was absolutely fantastic from being picked up on time, Abraham our driver and guide was very informative regarding the Hawaiian history on the drive up to and back from sunrise at Haleakala. Valley Isle also provides warm ponchos to wear at the summit as it is pretty cold. Valley Isle was the first tour bus at the summit for sunrise and all folks on our tour were right on the rail to see the magical sunrise at Haleakala. At the end of the tour a wonderful breakfast is included at the well know Cafe O Lei. Definitely a 5 star experience and if you are lucky to get Abraham as your driver and guide wahta bonus.

My 2 children and I had Yvonne as our guide for the Road to Hana expedition. She was great! She had anecdotes for various locations, knew the best place to stop, and, on top of it all, she was great with my 10 year old who was her adventuring buddy! We had a wonderful experience! 10/10 Would recommend.

My husband and I are so glad we chose to do a guided tour for the road to Hana. It relieved a lot of stress that could have come about trying to drive it ourselves. Charleston was our guide. He was friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable. We really appreciated him sharing the history and culture of Hawaii with us. We made some great stops along the way and though some areas do feel a little scary, I felt confident knowing that Charleston was driving and knew what he was doing. We got to visit a lot of beautiful places and would highly recommend booking with Valley Isle if you are debating booking with a tour company or driving yourself. It will give you a valuable perspective and save the stress of driving yourself, definitely worth the money!

We really enjoyed our Sunrise tour to Haleakala with Valley Isle Excursions! Our driver, Billy, was very friendly and funny! It was tough for everyone getting up so early but Billy had us all laughing and having a good time. The company provides wind jackets to wear during the sunrise as it gets pretty cold up on Haleakala. After the sunrise we got to enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Plantation! The entire experience was beautiful and something we will remember forever!

We did the road to Hana tour. Paula was amazing. Very knowledgeable and seemed passionate about what she does. Highly recommend! The breakfast was perfect and delicious. Not too heavy. Just right since you’re about to go around all those curves. She had ginger chews for everyone just in case, but no one needed them luckily. There were a couple times I was hoping to get some better pics at some of the side of the road stops, but I think she had to pull off pretty quickly. I would have just liked a few more seconds at some of the “pull off to the side stops”. I assume she had to do this in a quick manner to not be in others’ ways. This last bit is in no way related to Valley Isle- the restrooms were horrible at the black sand beach. If they are going to charge people to view these areas, they need to better maintain the restrooms! Other than that- everything was amazing! I might would offer a dessert with lunch.

The Road to Hana tour was a highlight of our trip. Yvonne our tour guide was bubbly and very knowledgeable. The ride was comfortable and relaxing with many sites to see without worrying about the drive. I would definitely sign up to do this trip again!

Our tour guide Travis was amazing! He did a great job at making us laugh (and sing) while also sharing the history of Maui. He has a lot of pride in home and did an amazing job at teaching us how we can be *respectful* tourists. The bathroom trips were well planned out and the food was delicious. Definitely try the banana bread even if you aren't typically a big banana bread person - best I have ever had! Travis never made us feel rushed and I always felt safe with him, a local familiar with the roads, driving. At the end of the tour, Travis played the most beautiful songs. If he sees this review - drop your Spotify playlist please!

Great tour by Travis! It was wonderful to hear all of the Hawaiian history and stories of the land. The time spent at each spot was appropriate and the bbq was delicious! I was happy to leave the driving to him so I could take in all of the sights. Would recommend!

Valley Isle Excursions was fantastic for my trip to see the sun rise on Haleakala, for my birthday. My guide, Guillermo, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us history in addition to finding us a great spot for the view. They provided pick-up, and drop off as well as breakfast. It was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend!

We took the Valley Isle Road to Hāna tour with Travis, our amazing yet fearless tour guide! During our tour we saw some breathtaking sites including the scenic drive to Hāna and the stops to the Black Sand beach and waterfall. We loved meeting the other tourists on our bus and getting to know them. Travis, our tour guide was phenomenal. Within the first 5 minutes of our tour, he knew each of us by name! He was knowledgeable and taught us all about the plant life, told us about the history of the road and shared about the culture of the natives of the area. He was genuine and seemed to have as much fun on the tour as we were having. We loved learning about his family and the town of Hāna where he grew up.He gave us adequate time at our stops to explore. We also were given adequate time to shop at places where locally made items were available, including his aunts! I highly recommend this tour - request Travis as your guide if he is available!

Absolutely loved our Haleakalā tour with Alika. We learned a lot about the oral history and language of Hawaii, as well as volcanoes and the sacred lands. The sunrise was breathtaking of course, and Alika even made some special stops for us! His humor is awesome, had me cracking up the whole time 😂. We were also punctual/on time to everywhere we went. We loved our experience and would recommend it to anyone.
