Peace of Maui Bed and Breakfast

One of my favorite affordable options on the island. I like everything about staying here. The owners and staff live on property so if you have a problem they are there to help you solve. I love that you get to know the other guest. We all, but the cottage, share the kitchen for meal prep and the outdoor space is communal as well. There are fruit trees on property for the guest to consume. I ate my share of papayas. Also love the hibiscus room which is a little private room to the rear of the property. Pineapple fields are to the west. Probably my favorite feature is the out door shower. The ocean is about a 15minute drive. For the price there's not a better place to stay especially in the Upcountry

The people were very kind and my room was clean and comfortable. And the sunrise over the back yard was gorgeous!

Tammi and Mika were exceptional hosts! They really went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I enjoyed our stay at their lovely bed & breakfast! We came in on the last day of our stay in Maui to be close to the airport, and the location was perfect! The facilities were clean, quiet, and so peaceful and scenic. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We will definitely be back!

Great location for Haleakala.
Rachel was SUPER nice! She sat and chatted with us and gave us all sorts of tips and tricks for exploring Maui.
It was very “peaceful” and secluded, with great views of the mountains.
Oatmeal and coffee in the morning was a huge plus!

This place and the hosts tammi and mica are amazing. We stayed in the cottage and the hibiscus Room and they were both magical for different reasons. I was not
Expecting the views to be so breathtaking. We picked fresh star fruit from the trees every morning and used the hot tub every night. Tammi and mica are available to answer questions but are in no way overbearing. So quiet and away from any towns, listening to crickets chirp as I type this… would definitely stay here again.

Wow! As I sadly conclude my 10 day stay on Maui, and at this incredible property, I just had to come say a few nice things. 1) The hosts are so incredibly kind, and they will bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need. Too many things to list as to why this is true. 2) The grounds are exquisite. The backyard has games like cornhole, as well as grills, super comfortable high end patio furniture, and a hot tub! Oh, I'm writing this from the hot tub. 3) Really central location and not far from the beginning of the road to Hana, but also not far at all from the airport.

I can't wait to come see y'all again! Thanks for everything!

Ps. To the people who mentioned roaches or bugs, I have to say this - it's a tropical environment, and keeping all bugs away from a property is basically impossible. I saw one silly roach on the patio, not inside. It simply isn't an issue to the degree that some people would have you think.

We stayed in the cottage. This was not the most luxurious place to stay, it did not have all the bells and whistles. But it was such a highlight of our trip! The owners absolutely made the visit. Their kindness, the grounds, it was absolutely beautiful. The cottage was beyond comfortable. Beautiful. The views were glorious. I would absolutely stay there again, every single time, no questions asked.

The view alone should be a reason you stay here. This property is absolutely stunning and has all the amenities one could think of. Definitely a hostel vibe with shared bathrooms/showers and communal kitchen space but all guests were respectful and kept the place looking tidy. The bedrooms are comfy and clean and come with a mini fridge, towels and a fan. We stayed in 2 different rooms and liked both for different reasons. Tammie and Mika are saints and have worked so hard to make this place what it is. We already plan to return!! The hot tub is working and the stars at night can’t be beat. Thank you for a wonderful piece of Maui that is shared with all who stay.

What to say about my brother in Christ Mika and his wonderful wife Tammy? Our time at Peace of Maui Bed and Breakfast was tremendously amazing and blessed!
His hotel is extremely peaceful, beautiful, clean and with excellent price, 6/5 stars!

This place was perfect to stay in during our time in eastern Maui. They had clean beds and tons of amenities to explore. Also, only an hour drive to the Haleakala sunrise so we didn't have to wake up at 3am to watch the sunrise. Best part about the property is that they have a jungle open-sky shower that they let the guests use.

I can't say enough good about this BNB and these hosts. The cottage we stayed in was beautiful, a recently renovated bathroom, and fantastic view.
But even more than that, the hosts couldn't have been nicer to us. Extremely helpful, great company, and overall very kind people. We experience a flat tire one night and were left stranded as the vehicle had no means of changing a tire. And they graciously came to our rescue and helped us get everything resolved. We might still be on the side of the road if it wasn't for them...

Tammi and Mika were extremely gracious, accommodating, and friendly. I was ultimately not able to stay at Peace of Maui due to emergency health issues with my travel partner but I will definitely give them a try when the time is right as their customer service was amazing.

Amazing place! Great location upcountry with stunning views of Haleakala. Outdoor shower and hot tub were very nice. The place was pretty much fully booked when I was there but barely saw the other guests, which was nice, felt like we had the whole the place to ourselves. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. Also had everything you needed. Huge selection of beach toys, snorkel gear, chairs etc available for guest use too. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Let's get the negatives out of the way first. If you are not driving, you may want to think twice about this place. It's a ten minute walk to the bus stop along a road with no pavements (sidewalks for the Americans). The bus into town takes about 45 minutes and only runs once every 90 minutes. Secondly, the breakfast is just a sachet of microwavable oatmeal and a granola bar.

Saying that, the place is really, really lovely and so are the hosts. The rooms are basic, but do the job. You've got a TV and fridge in your room and full use of a fully equipped shared kitchen. It's a B&B so the bathrooms are shared - they're spotlessly clean.

The building is a lovely rural Hawaiian house and you're surrounded by trees and nature in all directions.

Locally, you're a bit strapped for choice with regards eating. There's one restaurant within walking distance. If you're driving, this probably isn't a problem.

We stayed for 2 weeks. Absolutely loved the location for two reasons: very calm and peaceful setting; centrally located to easily go North, South, East, or West. The hosts are awesome.

We needed a place to stay at 1am after we missed our flight and the owner woke up when we called and gave us an upgraded room with 2 beds when we booked for one. He was so incredibly sweet and the view is absolutely incredible. They have a gorgeous patio overlooking mountains and trees next to their jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend this place. It shows the true beauty of the humble and kind people here.

Super clean, well maintained! Felt like home! Mika and Tammi were very nice! Beautiful view all around! Cool jacuzzi!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the place, the owners, the pets (dogs and cats) and the people we met there.
Tammi and Mika were super friendly and helpful! They went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable.
In our opinion, the price was fair for Maui / Hawaii standards.
The place is great, really peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were also very clean.
We would most definitely stay there again :)

Simple place close to the Haleakala summit. Nice that they have a small breakfast available to you as you have to be up early to see the sunrise, so places won't be open to pick up breakfast. Wanted to change the date of our stay, but couldn't do it through the third party site. Called and owner recommended we just cancel the other booking and book directly through their site. Did that, but third party site wouldn't let us cancel, so we had a double charge situation. Once we got to the hotel called the owner and got it fixed by canceling that nights charge and keeping the previous nights charge that we couldn't cancel. Very accommodating host.

Peace of Maui is a wonderful option when visiting Maui. Tammi juggled some things to give us a week there when other plans unexpectedly changed and several times made our time there easier.

We returned to Peace of Maui 20 years after our first visit. For the most reasonable price in Maui, you will have your private room, private use of a shared bathroom and use of the shared kitchen and living room area. All is spotlessly clean. There is a lovely outdoor seating area and hot tub. Grounds are beautiful and you will be centrally located to see other parts of Maui.
