Hanzawa's Variety Store

Having lived in Hawaii for 35 years I can easily say, this is my very favorite place to shop, it's a wonderful slice of Aloha. Mike, Paul, Noe and Amanda run a very warm and inviting, and just plane cute, place to shop.
I always leave laughing and feeling good. I could name the other wonderful people there but it would be arduous, just know they are terrific.
If you smile, they'll smile.

Quaint local general store that has just about anything you want including a deli and plate lunches. This shot is of the beautiful protea and tropical bouquets they sell right as you enter.

Handy convenience store for snacks on the way to HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK. There's no place to get anything up at the summit, so I was happy to be able to get what I needed. A little pricey but worth it for the convenience.

Employees were very friendly and helpful. Recommend stopping here if you need anything! Great little store and fuel station.

The deli in this store is amazing! All the lady's were super friendly. And it was hands down the best taco I have had. Ever. On and off the island! I would be here everyday if I could. The guides to our ziplining tour were talking about stopping for lunch. I was starving and inquired. They were all there when I walked in. For like $3.50 for a massive taco I see why. It was delicious!

I was already deep into haiku when i realized I forgotten to fill my tank up before driving into Hana and did not want to drive back to paia. Hanzawa store saved me the trip. Plus there’s lots of food to go as well and the hot dogs are awesome.

Nice country store. You can grab a bout anything you need for the house. Good selection of beer and liquor. Nice lunch counter in back with good chili and tacos.
Good place to get ethanol free gas for a good price.

I love this place. They have ethanol free gas. Definitely not cheap but if you are in haiku area this is a great option with friendly staff.

A great quick stop shop for gas, air for your tires, or whatever food/ drink you need, want, or desire.
The cashiers are sweet, down to Earth mama's mostly :)

Little gem up in the jungle great little store! Love it!

This place is like a time capsule from the 60s feels homely. The people are a was some that run the place. It has little bit of everything sort of a mino grocery store. They also nm offer hot food and good fresh caught poke' sushi. They have maui cattle.company beef cuts and chill freezers with regular grocerys like milk, cheese and eggs. The bento and hot food is cheap food but quick to grab on the go. They do sell alcohol and tobacco as well for those interested in that. The lines are not.too bad usually. I like the place have been going here since 1990s as a boy. I would recomend anyone visit the place and tip the counter girls. Its an amazing experience for a true local and down to earth expwrience for the whole family. They are closed on certain days best to check with hours to avoid missing out. 10 out of 10 a must visit local spot.

Rosie is super nice and helpful with everthing from tips on local sites to the best way to get to the airport. The store has a eclectic collection of everyday necessities, to highend teas, clothing and wine.

The lunch counter boasts some of the BEST poke anywhere. With a Cordon Bleu trained chef behind the counter, I would recommend EVERYTHING!

You get it all here, your regular groceries, a fantastic meal AND your gas!.....How can you go wrong?

Once again organic coffee always hot and fresh. The people are super friendly and they always have raggae music playing. I love this little place.
