Hang Loose Lounge

Friendly neighborhood bar. Waitress was smart and knew all the drinks. Got talking to our neighbors. Drinks were strong. Will go back. No food. But we could get food from the nearby Amigo’s who delivered to the bar.

Lots of great friendly locals with great pours! Rod and Kamaile made our last day memorable. Wish we would have found this place sooner!

Definitely has the vibe of a dank dive bar. When you go in, the tables are long banquet style tables and the bar is in the style of a sunken bar so they can have lounge chairs at the bar. If you go and think to yourself that you made a mistake, I urge you to sit down, have a drink and see if you still feel the same. It's a very endearing place and you get the feel many of the locals have been coming their whole lives. The drinks were stiff, the patrons were friendly and happy to chat; plus our bartender, Jess, was great! Very knowledgeable and engaging. She seemed to have rapport with everyone in the bar and was eager to meet my wife and I when we sat down. Super down to earth person that immediately felt like a long lost friend. If you find yourself in Maui, head to the Hang Loose Lounge and enjoy a drink.

The managers and staff of Hang Loose lounge are just fantastic people. They are island friendly and go out of their way to help you. Rod even drove us personally from the lounge when we could not get a taxi to swing by. You can see why the locals frequent and hugs flow. Check it out. Maui is wide open for business folks. The fires certainly affected certain specific locals but 90% of the island was fine.

This place is always really fun as I was working on the cruise ship. We would always go there on Sunday nights to go enjoy some time off the ship. It would get very busy sometimes, but the service was always on point. I really like the people that work there and I feel like everyone that I worked with also did and that’s where that place is always so busy, you could keep your top open or close it or pay cash. I also have music which is really fun and you can even meet some really nice locals.

Local Dice bar. Great spot to meet some locals and enjoy the good vibes and a few drinks.

I dropped in a few days ago before going to the airport. The drinks were were great.
But the good cherry on top was the 2 beautiful dogs just hanging out there too. One was even sitting on a chair getting lots of dog hugs. The waitress was fun. The other customers were a bunch of happy people. What a great way to end a vacation

We loved this place!!!! Super close to the airport. We had a few drinks we had great service the bartender was supwr friendly!! The people were chilled we were able to listen to music and relax !!

A bartender lady was nice and the prices were reasonable. They are a local bar and people bring food and stuff and it's a really great fun place I'm going to go have breakfast there tomorrow and it's free I've been meeting a lot of nice people.

Stopped prior to our departure, wish we would have found this pace sooner!! Had a ton of fun, definitely a must stop!

Always fun and friendly dive bar in kahului.

You'll never meet a great group of local people who greet you and tell you stories of there visit to your home town. this will also be a great area to wait for your flight back home. Or picking up guests at the airport great waiting spot and great food places 20 ft away if your hungry. Oh plus Brad the owner has great smoked marlin. So many good things to say about hangloose lounge. Only place you'll visit more than once. ALOHA

If you want the hang loose vibe, this is the spot to go in Kahalui. I love this bar, the staff is awesome and always friendly and know how to make a gooood drink 🤙🏼

What are great place to stumbled into and meet such great people from Maui. Visiting from the Big Island. and treated like a local my new favorite Maui bar because it's the only one I've ever been to in Maui. First impressions are the best impressions for me and you will get one here Aloha all that visit hang loose Bar and Lounge.

Love the recent renovations that add so much more space. What really makes this place are the super friendly and personable bartenders. Definitely recommend.

Local dive bar that's a lot of fun. It is next to a lot of eateries I like to get Amigos 4 mexican food or Maui Wowie Cafe and take the food in to hangloose and eat it there. There is always someone fun behind the bar especially Rob and Trish!
It's a must stop for anybody wanting a drink to and from the airport and a local favorite Hangout.
