Had a great experience with Maui Budget Cars and would suggest them to anyone. Car we received ran great until it had a headlight bulb go out. We reached out and let them know immediately. They met us after hours and switched out the car giving us a free upgrade to an even nicer vehicle for the inconvenience of a headlight going out. (Something completely outside of their control.) That car ran great no issues rest of the week. Kind and honestly run business! Thanks guys!

Absolutely loved renting from this small business. The customer service and pickup/drop off from the airport were stress-free and easy. Compared to my experiences with large national brands, I would prefer this business

We chose the manager special and got a 2009 Toyota. Ran great, and I feel like having an older car with some dings/paint fading made us blend into local traffic.

I’m under 25 and big name rental companies double the cost if you’re under 25. I simply couldn’t afford a $800 rental car for 7 days. Found this company and they gave me a great price and didn’t charge extra for being under 25. I thought there had to be a catch, but nope!

Every part of the process was so simple, from reserving the car (I chose the 2015-2019 sedans and got a 2018 Chevy Cruze), to the airport pick up, to signing paperwork, to the car drop off.

Great great great experience and will definitely use them again as well as tell all of our friends and family who frequently visit the island to use them. Thank you!!

The best rental experience I had on the three islands I visited. Pick up and drop off was incredibly simple. You could tell the car had taken a few knocks - chipped paint, a few small dents, faded roof - but it ran and performed wonderfully. Honestly, the slightly banged up appearance was a plus as it blends in well with local cars. And the prices cannot be beaten. Would rent from them again in a heartbeat.

These guys give you the best deal price and service wise. Paid half of what I would have paid at Avis/ Budget.they picked us up at the terminal and it took less than 8 minutes to sign paperwork and get the keys and we were off. Cars are a few years older but are clean and it ran perfect..I saved over $290.00 going with Maui Budget.highly recommend these guys...

Excellent customer service and response time! Car was ready for pickup at Maui Airport. I had to extend trip by a few days and was able to easily work out the extension via e-mail. You can pay twice the price at the big name rental companies for a new car or save that cash and put it towards something more fun on your trip. The car was as advertised: older model year, but gets the job done. Would definitely recommend this place and will use it myself again on my next trip.

the car we rented was in excellent condition. great service) They brought the car to the airport at the right time and picked it up from the airport before our flight, which saved our time a lot.

Rented a car from here in June and the service and car were both amazing! My flight got delayed so I would be coming into Maui after operating hours and after a quick phone call the team at Maui budget cars were able to explain the new pick-up process! We got a 2012 Toyota Corolla and it was clean and as described, we took it all over the island (including road to hana)! Overall had a great experience and would highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience with Maui budget rentals. They were quick to reply, friendly, and very accommodating.
My flight was supposed to get in at 10pm and they were still ready to come pick me up so I didn't have to Uber!They even accommodated me when I needed a late drop off.

The car itself was great. It's in mostly great shape inside - I rented an older model so it had some dings and tears as to be expected, but nothing bad and definitely appropriate for the great deal on price. It was super clean inside which was great.
Since I’ve lived on the island before I actually appreciate being able to rent vehicles that blend into the local traffic.
Vehicle ran without any major issues. Some rattles here and there (it’s an older vehicle) but it was mechanically sound and I felt safe driving it around the island. Made it through road to Hana perfectly. If you need a great reliable car to get you around the island for a competitive price, this is your place!

The pick up and drop off were fast and easy. We had a small service issue, but the guys were fair, and good about it. I will rent from this crew again. It is not your typical rental spot, but the price was reasonable and the cars we had were excellent.

This was the best rental car service I have ever received. I treated myself to a Jeep Wrangler for under $600 for a 6 day rental. A huge reason why I loved this place was because I am under 25 and still got a great vehicle for so cheap in this vacation destination area. They have the cheapest prices on the island of Maui. Pickup at the airport was super easy, I did have to wait a little longer than expected outside in the sun for my car to meet me at the pickup bench. I paid cash and signed a few papers and was on my way. Drop-off was even more easy! I was so impressed with how easy and efficient this rental service was. I will definitely rent from here again when I come to Maui and I highly recommend it!

Brendan was so easy to work with. We were all really impressed with his professionalism and people skills, especially since we had some difficult personalities in our group.The car was clean and quiet and the air conditioning worked great. We especially loved that we were able to leave the car at the airport before our flight and basically just walk away. We will definitely be using them again on our next trip to Maui!

We rented a car from Maui Budget Rentals for 9 days. It was the most inexpensive option we could find and we were pleased with our service! We had a couple things with the vehicle but they were taken care of immediately and in a very friendly manner.
We camped the whole time with our car so a budget company was just what we were looking for. It was a little loud and had some dents but it ran fine!
Jeremy and the whole crew were all very friendly and found a way to pick us up from the airport when I didn't realize our flight was coming in 3 hours early!
Will rent from them again!

We rented a Honda CRV from Maui Budget Cars from Feb 4- Feb 15. It was an older model but it had plenty of space for the 4 adults (and luggage) using it. It was great on gas and no mechanical problems at all during our rental. It got us around the entire Island flawless.

The booking process was easy and staff and the owner were extremely help full and and gr8 to deal with. The rental price was the best on the island.

Would I book again with Maui Budget Cars if we get back to Maui.. Maui Budget Cars is our choice.

I admit: I was a little skeptical of renting from Maui Budget Cars since they're not your typical car rental agency, but with no other options (cars were listed as $3500 for ONE week when I started looking), I thought I'd give them a try (really, I didn't have any other options)! I was 100% pleased with my car rental experience with Maui Budget Cars and we got our car at a fraction of the price of the other rental agencies.

I was worried because my boyfriend and I were arriving Maui late and leaving early, but Maui Budget Cars made sure we had a smooth experience. We ended up with a 2013 Toyota Corolla which clearly had had some fun times in its lifetime, but it was clean and operated well. If you're wondering, or hesitant, I'll just say, I would definitely recommend Maui Budget Cars and rent from them again in a heartbeat!!

Great Experience! From pick-up to drop-off Maui Budget Cars could not have been better. Car was their waiting as we grabbed our bags and we were off on our way. No waiting on a shuttle in order to go wait at service desk. We rented an older Corolla and while it had all the expected superficial marks and blemishes, mechanically it ran and served us perfectly. A convenient, safe, and reliable car at a price that cant be beat. Thank you Maui Budget Cars!

What a refreshing option! A dependable, clean rental car for a fraction of the cost of the various rental car chains. Maui Budget Cars was easy and reasonable to work with. It is best to make sure you can return the car by the same time of day it's rented as partial days are not pro-rated. They are a much better value than other rental agencies.
