From the moment we entered, we were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff and the aroma of their outstanding coffee - a promise of good things to come.

Our choices included the upcountry omelet, a savory breakfast bagel, the combo special, and a delightfully fluffy Belgian waffle. Each dish was a hit, brimming with flavor and comfort. For those preferring water, it’s conveniently self-serve, located at the front of the restaurant.

Seating options are plentiful, with both cozy indoor and serene patio settings. Dining here truly feels like a visit to Grandma’s house, surrounded by the comforting scents of delicious food and walls adorned with reflections of her family and community.

In essence, Grandma’s Coffee House offers not just a meal, but a charming and delicious experience reminiscent of a warm, familial embrace.

Had a snack after our walk on Thompson Road beautiful day for the outdoors! Shared a club sandwich, very tasty. Place was quite busy inside an outdoor dining. Got our food relatively quick while we looked at the gorgeous view. Headed thru north of Kula for the starting of the Jacaranda season. High 60s perfect weather!!

A local upcountry coffee/cafe place. Its a must come every time we visit maui. Great views, good brewed coffee, delicious grandma 👵🏻 like food cooked up all homemade. Staff is friendly and treat them well visitors! Heard lady in front of me complaining about prices, its an island and secluded (what do you expect) everything is worth it here we have had so many dishes here. My wife loved the mahi mahi eggs Benedict. My loco moco was delicious. Will always come back! Keep up great work crew! Also careful of the birds they will definitely take advantage of food left on plate 😂. No harm though and enjoy the wildlife on porch with cool weather.

I stopped by after a visit to the Haleakala National Park. Worth the stop for some much needed fuel. I got an ice mocha with two extra shots. The coffee was really tasty and had a really nice mouthfeel. I got the lava brownie (pictured) and banana walnut sour cream cake. Both were really tasty but I personally liked the lava brownie better! Great serving sizes too. The barista was really friendly and the place was comfortable and clean.

We came across this cafe for breakfast: it’s a really cute small business owned cafe, has a very warm homely feel. The staff was professional and pleasant. We ordered:
1. Veggie Bagel - 5/5 - delicious with lots of veggies
2. Veggie Burger - 5/5 - husband really liked it, simple and fresh
3. Fries - 4/5 - was tasty

We were accompanied by our non vegetarian friends, they really enjoyed the pancakes - to quote my friend “Pancakes were freaking amazing”, and shared feedback that eggs were average.

Overall we enjoyed our breakfast and would recommend this place for anyone looking for breakfast options in the area.

Great place to stop midway on our bike ride. Great coffee and pastries but also have a lot of sandwiches and such that they make fresh. Sit inside or out on he covered deck.

Loved this visit. Was right close to closing in a Sunday afternoon yet they welcomed us. Ordered a coffee, a lemonade, an "I'm Hungry" sandwich, and a piece of pumpkin pecan cake. Everything was delicious. Really good sandwich, really good cake. Loved the fresh breeze on the patio to enjoy our lunch.

Very cute and old style coffee house. The coffee is really good, I bagel with cream cheese and added bacon and the highlight food for me was their banana and pineapple cake! Best caKe I ever had - Moist, perfect balance of flavors and sweet.

One of the best places I've eaten on the island. Just imagine a country side Mom and Pop type place that everyone goes to. Grandma's Coffee house has a cute home like restaurant feel. My friends and I stopped by on a weekday and there was a line out the door. We ordered everything from the blueberry danish, full order of French toast, iced coffee, ham and cheese combo special, and the Keokeo sandwich. Everything was delicious and made fresh. I loved the coconut in the French toast and the coffee was really strong. The French toast was so delicious between the 6 of us we shared 3 full orders of it. Prices are reasonable and even with the long line my wait was under 10 minutes. Theres no bathroom and parking can be tight.

This place was so good! We loved the breakfast here.. after visiting Haleakala for sunrise, we stopped at this cozy cafe. It’s a bit of a detour but totally worth the drive! The food was super yummy, fresh and the seasoning was on point. It was such a hearty breakfast and kept us full till dinner! Ofcourse we had shave ice in between :p

This establishment has been in My Sweetheart Enos Herrera jr.family for Ages,although he passed in 2006,I still wanted to visit,So Happy I did visit Thanks to My Bonus daughter Barbara Herrera for bringing Me, Enjoyed it and Food Very Much🌺🤙

Coffee is delicious as well as the pumpkin pie squares 👍🏼

So, for some reason, Google wouldn't allow me edit my initial review so I will leave another as I forgot to mention the tasty treats. Great stop on the way out to some beautiful riding. Cozy atmosphere and delicious coffee cake, among other things. Amber was super friendly and I would and will happily go back. Thanks Amber. If you ever have a Mandi to work there, you'll have a nice review for her too.

Been here a few times in the mid 2010's, still really good and portions are massive. They ran out of Hamburg patties so we had Kalua pork loco mocos (which was the best Kalua pork on our recent trip), the mahi mahi was a little overcooked but the flavour was good. Excellent value for money and good taste.

This was one of our favorite stops while in Maui. The food was simply delicious.
Be ready to wait in line and then for the food. Otherwise, they have a nice small patio with a view.
Their loco moco is tasty. We had grilled Maui and finished with their French toast.
Their Lemonade was great.

We need to go back and try their breakfast items.

Grandma’s Coffe House is kinda like going to your grandma’s house to eat. They have a great selection of food, pastries like cakes and you can also get Vegan food as well. They also have outside seating where you feel the nice breeze while you eat and look down the beautiful horizon from a deck. Basically, make a point to stop by here if you’re in the area and need to get good food or coffe.

Awesome place to get breakfast. There are tables inside and outside on a deck, so even though it looks crowded when you first come in its not to hard to find a place to sit. Plates were good sized. The steak and pork chop we had were perfectly done and well seasoned. Lots of pastries to choose from at the counter as well as good strong coffee.

Nice people, nice atmosphere and good coffee. Nice and quiet location. Just a very nice stop. Thank you Mandi, you’re the best.

Not hyperbole in saying this is the best breakfast I’ve ever had. OMG. When I took a bite of the eggs Benedict over cornbread waffles I thought this was a joke. How could breakfast possibly taste this good? 3 days later I can still taste it. The bacon was cooked magnificently. Home fries perfect. Cappuccino delicious. And the outdoor seating is charming and cozy with little chickens scampering across the deck. 10/10 Grandma’s Coffee House is a CANNOT MISS!!!!!

Grandma’s is an upcountry establishment, one of those place where if you know you know. Go there for breakfast. If you’re lucky you’ll catch someone playing beautiful Hawaiian music on the patio. And if it’s your first time visiting, order the Bulls Eye.
