Manaloha Rent A Car

I had a good experience renting with Manaloha. If you want a fancy car, go elsewhere - but if you want a functional car at a great rate, I'd recommend them.

I selected a "newer sedan" (2008-14 model) on the website, and they were quick to confirm availability. They were also responsive to the email/text for the few questions we had. The instructions for pick-up and drop-off were clear.

The car had significant scratches and dents on the exterior. However, this is exactly what we wanted in a rental car since it meant the price was very reasonable and we didn't stress about driving on gravel.

Fantastic rental! Highly recommend. The car was great for driving around the island. Recommend the beach chair and cooler add on, came in so handy! Definitely not a fancy ride, but ran great and blended in with the locals. Pick up and drop off super easy. Communication throughout the rental process was fantastic.

We've rented from Manaloha 3 times and always have a good experience. We'll definitely be going with them again the next time we're in Maui. Love the option to pick up and drop off in the airport parking lot.

We had a 2 week rental from Manaloha and we got just what we wanted: an older model that no one would look twice at, that ran just fine with zero problems, that already had its own little dings and dents so we don’t worry about parking in lots, and was dependable.
The bonus was their above and beyond customer service, we had a series of plane delays for hours. Manaloha helped us keep the car so we weren’t stranded at the airport. Plus they were so kind about it all! They have the true Aloha spirt, Mahalo to Manaloha Rent A Car!

We had an amazing experience with Manaloha! The car is dropped off right at the airport parking lot for you so you save a ton of time. It was clean, functional, and a smooth ride. We had a 2004 Lexus that we drove A LOT without any issues at all. Plus, the prices are UNBEATABLE. I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking to save money and time while visiting Maui.

Used car not new. Everything works car is clean. New car rentals are ridiculous. 2nd time we used this service. No problems. Price is right. Everything in Hawaii is expensive. I get it. But this is a nice break.

I/we have been to Maui many times. Since hooking up with Manaloha for car rental, I have saved usually $1000 or more per trip. My very first trip got the show car and a mega bill. That was it no more. Tourists drive show cars, people who want to rock with the locals, drive not a pretty car. I have a big BMW a GMC Denali, and 75 corvette. I enjoy saving money and spending it on my family. My wife loves Manaloha. Let's be real here for one minute. No offense, the tourists are terrible drivers.
The guys and gals at Manaloha deliver what they promise. When they say this car will be waiting for you at the airport, it will be there.

We turned to Manaloha Rent a car on the advice of our friends and they were very satisfied with their services and so was it for us. The prices of Manaloha rent are unbeatable in Maui and their professionalism and reliability is very well known among tourists, everyone says they are the best and we can confirm it!
It was all very simple, the booking, the instructions for the withdrawal very clear and simple.
The collection of the car really simple: as soon as you leave the baggage claim of the airport in front of us we found the car so, being a surfer who travels with all his bulky windsurfing, sup and wing foil equipment, having a vehicle right in front of the exit after so many hours of travel made the difference!!!
Even on the way back it was so easy .
We chose a truck with the body open behind to load and unload the boards easily once they arrived on the various spots.
The car was not new but it was perfect which is the most important thing when you are on holiday, it was clean and maintained well and in all the weeks we stayed in Maui we never had any problems.
The car was a 4x4 has always worked perfectly and we did many kilometers visiting many places in search of wind and waves. When booking we also asked for advice on where to stay in Maui and received some great recommendations.
The owner Sergio is really a good person, he is serious, professional, honest and also very nice always ready to respond to any need.

I have used them multiple times. Having a family, and sand, I get nervous driving a nice normal rental car. Besides the awesome lower price, and the amazing service, the cars are still awesome and work just fine for a week on an island. For this upcoming trip I need the lighter port to work for charging things (im camping) and they said they will make sure to get me a car with a working lighter port. They are always friendly, my car is always easy to find at the airport, and have had no problems with older or newer cars. Thanks for your services

Came to Maui to explore and didn’t want to spend a fortune on a rental car. Found Manaloha Rent A Car via a Google search and WOWZA! Great price, well maintained, clean car. I’m a happy camper! I’d definitely recommend this business and will be back again to use it myself! P.S. I rented a Dodge Van so all the seats fold down flat and I can fit an 8.5 foot paddleboard securely in the back. 🤙🌊🏄‍♂

Manaloha rentals worked wonderfully for our trip. Vehicles were ready on time and the team was incredibly helpful after we got in a small fender bender. They were able to smoothly change out the vehicle without any issues and also helped us recover my daughter’s favorite shoes that were forgotten when we dropped off the vehicle.

We had a great experience using Manaloha. While everyone was waiting to take the tram to the rental agency, we went directly to our older model ford explorer and hopped in! Everything was spelled out clearly to us in email and we had no problem finding or accessing our vehicle. Our car was beat up on the outside for sure! It had scratches and dents, but the inside was clean as a whistle. The radio worked great, we didn't end up using the A/C, but I am sure it would have worked fine. We saved a huge amount of money using Manaloha and were happy to give our business to a local company! If you are looking for a pristine brand new car to drive around, this is probably not the way to go for you. Our Family loved our island beater and we will be using this company next time we visit Maui! Thank you guys for making our trip so easy!!!

Over the course of my 3 1/2 month stay on Maui, I rented 3 different vehicles from Manaloha. I was looking for an alternative to the big rental companies and wanted to support a local business while saving some money.

When I arrived, the van was parked in the airport parking lot exactly like Manaloha said it would be and accessing the vehicle was easy with the instructions provided. The van was exactly what I needed, a basic no frills vehicle to get me around the island and haul some supplies. I also had 2 different sedans. One was a little older but functioned just fine and the other was newer. No problems with any of the vehicles.

I extended my stay several times and Manaloha was able to accommodate me each time. Great customer service and just really nice people. Sergio has a good team of people! Supporting a local business is also a nice benefit.

Returning the vehicle was also easy with the instructions provided. I just parked in the airport parking and walked a few steps to check by bags. Much faster pick up and drop off than the big corporates.

I will continue to use Manaloha when I come to Maui based on my positive experience.

Very easy reservation process, and clear/prompt communication from the staff about pickup and drop-off procedures. We rented a Toyota Corolla for 5 days, and the car got us around the island without a problem. The car had the expected quirks (e.g., could only unlock it w/ key on one side, tint peeling off of interior window), but we didn't mind at all. We figured this would be the case when we selected an older sedan. It was great to save some money on our car rental and support a Maui-based business. Until we meet again, mahalo!!

Manaloha provided amazing communication - the best we've ever had with a car rental company! The pickup and drop off was exactly as described. Our only downside was being Canadian without local calling as the pickup requires data to send photos of any scratches and dents etc.
We had an interception pickup by Jeremy so didn't have to find a parking space. Mahalo and aloha till next time.

We had a fabulous experience with Manaloha in 2021 and we just rented another car for this summer. They were professional, the car was extremely clean, dependable,.afforable and so easy to pick up at the airport and drop off. I highly recommend Manaloha.
