Cafe Mambo

What a fantastic café, the food was excellent. The atmosphere was outstanding, and it felt like being at home. Our family loved the owners (the owner's mom too) and the staff, their heart and passion for what they are doing showed through and the food was absolutely delicious. If you’re in Maui, this is a must-stop!!! Favorites for our family were the Smashburger, arugula salad with salmon, and the amazing fresh squeezed orange juice and coffees!!

Amazing! We caught them in their soft open and even in the chaos that is a soft open, the experience was fantastic! Katie took care of us, and the food exceeded expectations. The new Mambo is nothing like the old Mambo and it’s a must try with a great menu. The BBLT is to die for! ❤

This place was awesome! The lady was very helpful. I got the Fresh Fish Tacos. They were really good. We had to try the bread pudding and was impressed. Now the mambo fries were bomb! I would get those for sure. The waitress was really helpful in providing us recommendations for us to do. All in all a great experience! I would recommend this place highly to a friend!

Smashed burger and pancakes! Food delicious and fresh. Pancakes were phenomenal light and airy, crispy on the outside. Beautiful friendly warm service. Best food in Paia!

Great service, quick seating and very pleasant atmosphere. We had the Crispy Duck Quesadillas & Crispy Duck Salad!!! I was in crispy duck heaven! When I asked for coffee, cream & honey, they were more than happy to provide it. We also had one of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve had (not pictured). Definitely a great place to stop & fuel up before your Road to Hana excursion.

Looks like a typical cafe/coffee shop from the outside, but the description of the crispy duck tacos drawn us in.

We ordered the crispy duck taco (1 serving) and the crispy pulled pork with BBQ on rice.

The food came, and we loved how crispy they made the meat. Gave them another element of texture and taste. The duck was also tender and not greasy. Sweet caramelized onions... I had to get a side of rice to soak up all the juicy goodness.

These dishes are on the sweet side, but we loved it.

Cafe Mambo in Paia is an absolute must-visit! Their menu offers a range of options, making it easy to please everyone in the group. But the BBLT and Smash Burger are absolute showstoppers. The BBLT sourdough bread adds a delightful twist to the classic bacon, lettuce, and tomato combination. I ate there this morning and I am already craving the BBLT. As for the Smash Burger, it's a tasty classic.

In addition to the fantastic food, Cafe Mambo has undergone an incredible revamp, breathing new life into one of my favorite spots. Not only have they elevated the food quality, but they also paid attention to every detail, ensuring a top-notch atmosphere and service—a very welcomed fresh new vibe.

And let's not forget about their espresso drinks! If you're a coffee lover like me, you'll won't be disappointed. .

Overall, I can't recommend Cafe Mambo enough.

Love the new make over! Food was amazing. I got the breakfast burrito, the in-house hot jelly was the best I’ve ever had. Coffee was ok, my daughter got a breakfast plate and really enjoyed her meal as well.
Our server was super chill, I would def come back. New owners did awesome

Stopped in here after checking out a nearby beach on our last day on Maui this past weekend and was so pleasantly surprised that we already want to plan another trip back to stay in Paia. The cafe was full but we were able to snag a couple of seats at the bar and grab some coffees within moments of sitting. And then the food! I got the BLT and it came on the best sourdough bread I have ever tasted! My spouse had the burger which was equally as delicious and their fries were perfectly crispy.

This restaurant is a quaint store front with a nice selection of food. We had fish tacos and the pork special. The pork was presented on a bed of white rice with a sweet sauce that made it hard to stop eating it. The fish tacos were good but slightly over cooked. There was a mix up in the kitchen and our order was lost. When they realized what happened, they offered us some perfectly fried fries with mambo sauce that tasted amazing. They have a decent selection of beers including Maui Brewing, a local craft brew. I highly recommend stopping in for a cold beer and a tasty meal.

This place feels like you were transported to South America with all the vibrant colors and open air. The food is fresh and delicious!

Kori was great! We got the Crispy Duck Burger, which is more like a pulled pork sandwich but with duck and their orange sauce. It was so good! Great prep for duck!

This restaurant is such a cute little spot to get a casual bite to eat, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We chose for an early dinner after doing the Road to Hana and was not disappointed with what we ordered.

We ordered Onion Rings (w/ the Curry Sauce), Tofu Nachos, Roast Duck Fajitas. My favorite dish was the Roast Duck Fajitas. Our server mentioned this is what they are known for and I can see one. I loved how they served the fajitas in the unique metal dish for all the ingredients. The Roast Duck had a very nice sweetness to it.

Also, take advantage of Happy Hour which ends at 6pm on the day we went. Will definitely be visiting this restaurant again (maybe even for breakfast or brunch).

It was my first time here and I cannot wait to go back! Ashley’s, our server, was so amazing and her recommendations were so good, I think she should have her own specials menu! We tried the breakfast burrito (yummm) and the special homemade chilli sauce was absolute perfection! I wish I could have taken a jar home! The iced oak milk latte with cinnamon was one of the best coffees I’ve had in awhile too. We also shared a salad and a burger, also yum! The atmosphere was great, the location is super accessible and the seats next to the window were perfect for us! This is the ultimate spot for brunch in Paia, Maui! I cannot wait to go back again!!

I ordered the shrimp special and it was delicious! Everywhere else was so packed and there were long lines, we were starving and wanted to try something different and happen to come across cafe mambo. Im so glad we stopped by it was our first time there I would definitely go back. The salad was so good I loved everything about my dish. I did order a side of fries I didn’t expect them to be a basket regardless they were great and my husband helped me with the fries.

Enjoyed a wonderful plate of amazing nachos here and we all shared a great appetizer plate. Service was wonderful and the place is cozy and relaxing. I love that the food was large enough portions to fit the menu prices. Hard to find places where you can take leftovers home around here for these prices. We will gladly go back for more!
