The Gym Maui/Club MĀKENA

I had a wonderful stay in Maui over the holidays and was able get a week pass at the gym Maui. Paul and everyone at the gym were very friendly & super helpful. The classes were challenging and fun! Thanks so much for the hospitality! After only a week I know I’ll miss the people and atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to The Gym Maui on many visits to Maui over several years now. Feels like home. Coach Paul sets the welcoming tone and staff live up to it. The workout area is clean, airy and well equipped with a good range of free weights, machines, kettlebells and all those little pieces and attachments I find so useful at home. It’s great to see crossfitters, bodybuilders, weight loss clients and old guys like me sharing the same space without the slightest need to disparage each others’ ways of working out. My partner and I visited Maui for 8 days.
We walked into Makena and were welcomed by Paul, the owner. He gave us options on either drop ins, class passes or weekly pass and we decided to sign up for the whole week. The classes were fun & the other athletes were really welcoming. We never felt like outsiders and felt more comfortable than in any other gym we’ve dropped in at. We learned a lot in a week there and we both hit a PR on our power clean. We will miss working out at Makena and will definitely come back and visit them all sometimes soon again.

Makena Performance is Amazing ! I’ve been working out with this coaching team for years and I’ve never been stronger ! Great to see guests come in and enjoy the space together and share aloha. Great merch, nutrients and performance gear available at the desk !

Wonderful experience. Paul and his team welcomed me for two weeks while visiting Maui over Christmas. The gym has everything you need and amazing classes going off every morning. Extremely happy I found this fit family! I will be coming back every year when we visit.

The Gym Maui is my favorite gym on Maui because first of all the owner is the nicest most friendly and kind person. The gym is very clean, inviting and has any equipment I can ever ask for. The machines are well cared for, people are very warm and the gym also Has a very great shoes and merchandise on hand. Come here for the best gym experience!!!

I highly recommend The Gym Maui/Club MĀKENA. Whether you’re looking for a coached CrossFit class or want to do your own thing, they have all the equipment you could want. The staff is awesome, Paul has done a great job building a badass culture within the gym. I come back every time we visit Maui. I buy the unlimited week pass when I’m here. If they had a gym in my hometown, I would be a member for sure! 🤙

Every time I visit Maui (Kihei area) I make a point to get a great workout at Club Mākena. Coach Paul is inviting, thorough with warm-ups as well as technique for the daily workout. The gym has a bunch of gear. (shoes, sunglasses, tanks, tshirts & decals) Be sure stop in when visiting Maui. 🤙🏻🌴🔆💯

This is the best gym on Maui . Why ? Because it is more than just a gym . It’s a family . The support is unreal here . I have been attending this gym for a year and half and I have grown so much as a person. The quality of the coaching is superb. Crossfit always seemed intimidating to me , but the Gym Maui makes it accessible to all . Stop by and give it a try .

Coming to CrossFit with Paul changed my life!! He taught me how to lift and to Push!! Learning the fundamentals with attention to detail in form and technique has given me so much confidence in my personal workouts… but I never get such a good workout as when I go receive his coaching!

Stayed in Kihei for a week and did the 3 day pass. Totally worth it. They had a variety of machines and enough equipment to do pretty much any workout. The gym is small, but not many people were there when I went. I met Coach P, and he recommended some good eat spots nearby. Would definitely come back next time I visit.

What an incredibly special place. My husband and I were vacationing in Maui and decided to drop in for a CrossFit class while we were away from our home CrossFit box, we ended up going every day of our week on the island and it was SO hard to leave! The coaching and people here are phenomenal, you are welcomed and treated like Ohana (family) from the moment you arrive and will leave better than when you came, I saw visible improvements in several skills this week! Missing you already, Makena fam. We will be back! Anyone looking for a gym home away from home - look no further! ❤

We were visiting Maui for a couple weeks and found this great gym and got a workout in almost every day of our trip. We really looked forward to going to the gym each morning. Coach Paul and the staff made sure we had everything we needed and we felt so welcomed. All the staff were super friendly and happy to have us. It’s the perfect gym - lots of equipment, very clean, great atmosphere. Thanks for having us!

Superior coaching, community, and vibes. Get in a body building workout, work the heavy bag, or join one of the many classes offered throughout the day where your fitness/athletic performance will be pushed to the next level. By far the best gym I’ve ever been a member of.

We were in Maui for a month and decided to join the Gym Maui and it was great. Had everything we needed (sled, skierg, squat rack and so much more!) Coach Paul was super nice. On my last day here, the gym crew were doing the Murph workout and Paul convinced me to do it. I’m so happy he did! Great workout and such a great team/motivational crowd. Absolutely loved it here. If you’re stopping in Maui for a short period or looking for a gym as part of your daily routine, I highly recommend this spot!
