Temple VA - Domiciliary C

Went many yrs ago& received wonderful treatment & rehab. Eventually even got a job working for Temple VA hospital full time. Many programs available for veterans in need.

It's not as good as it once was, but still not too bad

Another failure of a facility.

Exceptionally rudimentary programs, seemingly designed for individuals that never had the capacity for basic adulting.

Entered for service-connected mental health treatment and had the hack of a case manager I was assigned to tell me she was convinced I was faking because I had a positive outlook on treatment.

They gave this LMHSW, that said I was lying about being suicidal, an award when she retired. The VA in a nutshell.

This is not a theraputic environment. If you are seeking treatment for PTSD, avoid at all costs and look outside the region for inpatient care. I would only use this facility if you are homeless. It's basically jail with more therapy, fewer guards, and you can leave. Food situation is bad. No overnight passes. Organized trip off-grounds once every two weeks to a Walmart. Just a big disorganized mess that houses multiple inpatient programs that should never have been merged.
