La Riv Kitchen & Bar

This lovely restaurant is located on the corner of a shopping center with plenty of windows and a patio for outdoor seating. Fresh flowers and sparkling dinnerware adorn the tables. The centerpiece of the restaurant is the oven, specially imported from Italy and the fire carefully maintained at a constant temperature--a beautiful piece of craftsmanship as well as the perfect way to bake pizza.
We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts which were fried to perfection. The bacon tomato jam gave them a sweet and savory flavor. The truffle Mac and cheese was served in a skillet with creamy cheese sauce and a crispy parmesan crust. Best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The meatball pizza burst with flavor, plenty of herbs and spices. The crust was perfect--firm enough to hold all the toppings but light and fluffy, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Our server, "Diesel," checked on us just often enough, suggested great options, and served with friendly efficiency. We took our time and never felt rushed. We are every bit of our meal. Highly recommend!

Our waitress Audrey was wonderful and very friendly. The food and cocktails were delicious. We will definitely be going back!

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant and enjoyed everything it had to offer. The staff, from the hostess to the bartender and our server, were all friendly and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy and beautiful, creating a delightful dining experience for my husband and me. The food was outstanding, and we left feeling content. My spouse ordered the Margherita pizza, which had a crispy crust and a delightful taste. I opted for the bolognese rigatoni, which had a perfect blend of spices and flavor. We also had EH Taylor rye and the Italian gimlet, which were expertly prepared and served. I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening out. The cozy ambiance and exceptional food make for a memorable experience. Don't hesitate to give it a try; you won't be disappointed

Makayla, our waitress, was outstanding, very charming and knowledgeable. The food was AMAZING, as were the Lemon Drop Martinis (I didn’t have any, but my wife drank four).

We both had the red snapper, and it was terrific, and we had the beef bruschetta, which was simply spectacular.

Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in Temple.

We went today, Easter Day. The food was amazing and the bread dipping sauce was out of this world. We order extra dipping sauce to dip the pizza which was by itself amazing but that sauce was. Great place to eat. I can't wait to go with adults only. I was with my son and I was not able to get some wine this time but they have an amazing selection of wines.

First time here. I really enjoyed. Food was delicious, service was excellent 👌👍. A little pricey but well worth it.

Great atmosphere. Very clean customer service was great. I will recommend eating here. This was my first time, and my husband and I loved it. We will be dining here again.

The food at La Riv was absolutely delicious. Short rib pasta was the best pasta I’ve had in the US. The short rib were incredibly tender and the flavor was delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection. I live in Dallas and will be returning to Temple to see my sister…but also to have the short rib pasta at La Riv.
We went as a large group reservation and the service was phenomenal. Will return!

Great appetizers and delicious entrees. Went on Wednesday night for a pizza and pasta night and got the seafood pasta it was cooked just to perfection.

What a wonderful place here in Temple. Josh went above and beyond with our Christmas party 🎄🎄🎄and the food was exquisite.

My girlfriends and I stopped by and grabbed lunch and it was delicious. Our server, Raymond, was very knowledgeable and informative. We split the Tuna Tartare which was very good, I had the Short Rib Pasta and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Their sweet tea was also very good! (I don’t think I have ever left a review about sweet tea before, but it was worth noting!)

My friends and I went to enjoy my birthday . The services was great . The drinks were great . We all enjoyed our food . The food is probably some of the best food I've had. My steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it done. Everything was perfection.

Overall the experience was inviting and great customer service. Would come here again. You'd better look. Kitty (Kirsten) was our server. She is awesome. Reservation may be good idea during holidays. Great find in Temple,TX

This restaurant is wonderful. My husband surprised me here last night for a birthday dinner and reserved the biggest table (I think) in the restaurant, but unfortunately a bunch of people got sick and couldn’t make it. Felt super bad for the server, whose name I unfortunately forgot. She was awesome. Absolutely on top of her game, informative, sweet and fun.

The restaurant is in a cute little strip that I had never been to before. Definitely not something I would have expected to find in this area.
The interior is beautiful and cozy, yet modern. The food is absolutely delicious.
We got a charcuterie board, bread, pizza, steak and salmon and ALL of it was on point. I grew up in Europe and in Italy and usually am not impressed by Italian-inspired cuisine in the US, but this place is absolutely worth it.
I will definitely be back in the near future.

10 stars. Fabulous food, service, wine selection. One of the best NY Strips I've ever had and I'm a steak guy. Our server Christie was Fabulous. Will go back again.

Susane was amazing since the moment I called to verify if reservations were needed, super informative and attentive! They are nicer in person Violeta dont even mention it LOVELY !!!! It was my first time and they made us feel like regulars. On the food and drinks Loved everything I ordered!
Last but not least Patty the manager very hands on and professional definetly will come back and try the Georgetown location as well for the octopus!

My wife and I were driving through Temple when we decided to stop at La Riv

Every single dish was delicious and very well prepared. To be honest, this place was way above my expectations and it was a pleasent surprise.

Salads were well dressed, the marinara that comes with the ciabata bread was probably the best I ever had, ribeye cooked to perfection and the chicken... The chicken was moist and well seasoned with an au jus that had a buttery start and warm finish, simply delicious!

La Riv is the best restaurant in Temple.

The food and service was great! It’s pricey but definitely worth it. Drinks were especially good l, haven’t had a gimlet that good in a while. It’s really nice for a date night or just to catch up with friends. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. I will definitely be visiting again.
