Mishell 2 Fishing Charters

My Brother-in-Law and I went fishing with Cap'n Mike, and had an absolute blast! Is there a cooler dude than Mike?...I'm not sure there is.
Mike put us on the fish, he knows these waters very well. We kept a beautiful Striped Bass, took it back, and cooked it up. Nothing like the taste of fresh, wild-caught fish.
Couldn't recommend this boat more, we had an absolutely great time!

I've fished a few charters in Montauk over the years but have stuck with Mike for the last 8 years because nobody tries harder to put you on fish and make sure you have a good time than he does. He's a great captain and makes sure that you get the most out of your trip. If you want to catch fish, he wants you to catch fish. If you want to relax and have a good time, he wants you to kick back and soak up the sun. I've chartered the Mishell II for shark, tuna, bass, fluke and even a few sunset cruises and it's always been a great time with a lot of fish and even more fun.

Capt mike is the man. Just had two great days of fishing with him day one we got 9 fluke despite the bad fluke report he went above and beyond to put us on them. Day 2 we crushed the tuna. Great guy good times.

We had an awesome time with Captain Mike on the Mishell II this weekend. Mike knew exactly where to go for us to catch fish. He was funny, professional and we felt safe at all times. Called Captain Mike on a Sunday (day after we got married) inquiring about a cruise to block island. Not only was Mike great about accommodating the day before but we threw some lines in the water and caught two big Stripers! Would absolutely recommend him, we’ll be back next year for sure.

My wife and I had an epic day tuna fishing with Captain Mike. 10 for 12 on Bluefin. We had the 1st fish on before we could even set the entire spread. Mike knows where the fish are. Highly recommend him for anyone looking to Tuna fish out of Montauk.

Awesome!!! Captain Mike is a seaworthy, smart, passionate captain that puts you in the fish. His knowledge of the gear, boat, sea, weather, and experience is top notch. He's focused on all the right things - teaching you (and guests) and evolving your skills. The boat is ridiculously fast, clean, and it's a source of pride for this captain. Whales and sea stewardship may not be his thing, but if catching big fish, having a great time / laughing a ton, and having a successful day is your thing - don't hesitate and reach out to Mike immediately!

We had an amazing time on the Mishell 2. Capt’n Mike is extremely knowledagble and took us to the best fishing spots possible. He doesn’t follow the crowd of the other boats, he listens to his own intuition and technology which allowed every person on our boat to leave with a stripped bass. Mikes a funny guy and will keep you laughing the whole time. Will definitely hire him again next year. Highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL! We just had ANOTHER Fantastic Fishing Weekend with Captain Mike Saio on the Mishell II out of Westlake Marina, Montauk, NY. From GREAT SUCCESSFUL Shark Fishing trips to Striped Bass, Half Days, Full Days, Trips to the Canyon & bringing back plenty of Tuna. Hands Down this is by far one of the most knowledgeable, professional & courteous Captain & Crew you could be fishing with and truly enjoying every single moment of it. Over the years Captain Mike has taught me a wealth of knowledge in fishing, to a point where I love this sport and I always book another trip with Captain Mike on the Mishell II. It was Captain Mike on the Mishell II that helped me catch my First Shark - as a beginner fisherwoman a few years ago. The Blue Shark was over 300 lbs & 9ft long. A battle indeed, with Captain Mike's coaching and working very closely & kindly with me, I got that shark in BY MYSELF! Right up until this day, each & every trip had been plentiful with fish. Captain Mike & Crew are always kind, polite and incredibly helpful. All equipment is top of the line and the best of the best is always equipped on the Mishell II & I have to mention how extremely clean Mishell II is kept. The SHIMANO Reels, the Rods, Even the Bait & Chum are overly stocked for each & every fishing trip regardless for what you are out fishing for. During the Winter my family & I stay in close touch with Captain Mike so we can hear all about the new upgrades on the Mishell II & we are always so eager to hear when it is fishing season with Captain Mike again. Each trip we have booked has been very accommodating, we are able to bring what ever we want on the boat to enjoy our day & Captain Mike is fantastic with kids. He really makes this a wonderful time for everyone always. I honestly can not say enough good things about Captain Mike & his crew.

I can’t give enough compliments to Capt. Saio! I had the opportunity to first go out on the Mishell 8 years ago. And, I am completely hooked. And, I make it a point to go every year. Great for booking with friends and I have booked small client groups :)! I have had the opportunity to fish with many great Captains. However, Captain Saio is a notch above the rest. I have yet to go out for a trip and not catch anything (will never forget catching the shark) And, myself and company have always had a blast. Great to feel completely safe and of course have had some great dinners! I look forward to scheduling my next trip next Month!! Best Captain in Montauk!! We recently had a GREAT DAY FISHING with Captain Mike Saio on the Mishell II out of Montauk. Captain Mike and his first mate were very patient with my children and I – we are not professionals to say the least. I cannot tell you how many times our lines got tangled up! He made the day fun filled and my boys can’t wait to go back out with him. The boat was clean, which as a mom, was important to me, the rods and reels were top of the line. The day was everything we hoped for. A beautiful day catching fish with a Captain and a crew that was more than nice and very very helpful. We are looking forward to our next trip on the MIshell II.

I have fished with Capt. Mike Saio in Montauk for years and I recently got the chance to again in South Florida. Mike is knowledgeable, helpful, patient and also hysterical. He will have you laughing all day. And you will learn from years of valuable fishing experience. He took the time to teach me the proper way to rig fresh ballyhoo for trolling, I had been doing this wrong for a long time...

The Mishell II boat is unique for the FL fleet. It is a wide, super stable, spacious platform. On the trip I fished with Mike it was windy, as the FL east coast can be in the winter. We were dry and, comfortable all day. And we caught fish! Sailfish and bottom fish. Highly recommended charter boat out of Sailfish Marina in Stuart.

This was my 1st time fishing. Had a great time with my friends. He brought us to all the prime locations with the most fish and explained very well the best methods to make a catch. I caught a nice sized striped Bass! Looking forward to more fishing in the future!🤙

Capt. Mike is the man. Always a great time going out with him. Rumor has it, his grandmother is a mermaid because his boat always brings in the best catches. He always contribites to a good time no matter the group you bring out. Highly recommend

I brought my children fishing over memorial weekend and the experience was beyond enjoyable for them. The kids had a lot of fun catching a lot of fish and the captain made them laugh. I would recommend this charter for anyone looking for a chance to make fun memories with their children.
