Have been going to Sylvia’s for about a year now and have always had a good experience. I have done cornrows, knotless and bohemian as well. Pricing is reasonable but make sure to align with Sylvia beforehand and book an appointment. They do take walk ins but if you have an appointment I haven’t experienced a long wait.

I've been going to Sylvia's hair braiding salon for a couple years now and the braider's are all friendly and welcoming each and everytime. Sylvia's hair braiding salon is clean and well kept and the packs of hair are free and good quality.
Everytime I get my hair braided it's just the way I want it and I am always happy with the results of my hair. The braiders listen to your needs and they will do your hair to your liking. This place will start to feel like a second home, or a nice get away from home. Sylvia is a great business owner who takes pride in running her business and values her clients. I would highly recommend this gem of a braiding salon to anyone who wants their hair done right and for affordable price.

I went to Ms. Sylvia’s braiding shop for the first time in November 2023 and I had such a wonderful experience. Ms. Sylvia was kind and informative and her booking site was easy to follow. I got my braids done with Miss Gladys and Miss Flor. I have a disability and it is difficult for me to sit still for long periods of time due to my muscle spasms and back pain. I also have very long, thick hair that can be difficult to comb through. So I was very nervous about sitting down to get my hair done for a few hours. However, the ladies were consummate professionals and they treated me with so much kindness. They allowed me to take breaks and stretch whenever I needed to. They remained calm and compassionate, and did not get agitated with me at all. I’m so happy with the quality of my braids and the quick time that it took to complete them. I will definitely be returning to miss Sylvia’s braiding shop.

My whole experience was great. Sylvia and her staff were very welcoming. My appt was at 12:30 and we started immediately. I had one person on my hair for a little while, then another lady join after she was finish with another client. My knotless box braids came out looking neat and amazing, and only took 3 hours. Her prices are fair as well. I will definitely be going back

I absolutely love getting my hair done here. I have been coming here for over a year and will continue to do so! They usually see me right away and finish super early! Everyone is super kind and professional and best of all they do not braid my hair too tight ( i am tender headed lol) prices are reasonable as well so this is definitely my go to for braids.

They did a fantastic job on my medium knotless braids at butt length. They finished in 2.5 hours. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you!

I called at the last minute to get my hair braided at 4:30 pm and Sylvia said if I can be here by 5:00 I could get it done I arrived at 4:45 and they stared at 5pm and finished at 7:30 highly recommend

I had a great experience at Sylvia’s I don’t have a ton of experience with braids so what I wanted didn’t work for my hair length. Sylvia explained to me a style that would work and I love it!!!!!!!!! I had a couple different braiders working on my hair and the were both very skilled and professional. I have to say I am very impressed with Sylvia’s professionalism she went around to everyone, and worked on different styles and made sure everyone was taken care of. I will definitely recommend to all of my friends and also return in the future!

Affordable, fast and friendly! My medium waist length knotless only took 2.5 hrs. Customer service was impeccable and had a clear understanding of pricing and style options before I even sat down (no surprises). I don’t like the idea of being in someone’s home and they not treat me like a client, Sylvia’s is an actual clean shop. I’ll never go anywhere else!

I loved my hair. The customer service is okay. Sylvia is nice and I love the $160 special. My hair took about 3 hours it was quick I was happy. The braids are authentic.. I will be back :)

I visited Sylvia's on 4/28/23. I received great results and great customer service at a great price. My knotless braids only took 4hrs and I didn't have to buy the hair. This was my first time at Sylvia's and my first time getting knotless braids. I am beyond pleased with the results and will be returning. I will definitely bring my daughters here as well.

Booked a last minute, day off, appointment for my son to have his natural hair done in individual braids. They washed his hair and had it completely braided in an hour. It looks great even 10 days later. Price was also very reasonable, will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience!! Such a nice atmosphere. They were kind enough to offer me water and make sure I was okay with anything else. I’m over the moon with the braids I got. LOVE THE RESULTS. Amazing service, I had a 930 appt and was out at 1140. Medium knotless, Amy did her thing she's fast and friendly. I was greeted upon arriving, they do have TV and air so please don't allow the other reviews to turn you away. I asked Sylvia about those comments before booking and she said it was false. They're currently doing 10% off for back to school and I got a bag of goodies. Thank you Amy and Sylvia. I will definitely be back amazing service

Me and my Mom come here all the time to get our hair done and they always treat us very nice and do very well with my hair. The place is very clean the people are really nice and it’s always a good vibe in the building. i’d definitely recommend people to come here and i have only been here twice and both times i left the building loving my hair.
