Polli's Mexican Restaurant

Always stop by here when I'm on the island. One of my favorite restaurants. I used to live around the corner on Minor Rd. This restaurant became a regular for me. Great atmosphere and service with hearty portions. Can't beat the baby back ribs.

This place is a Gem 💎 this was my first visit to Maui, Makawao, and Polli's. I'm a Mexican American from Sacramento, CA and wasn't sure I would find a good Mexican restaurant to dine at while visiting and when I found Polli's I felt like I was back home. From the mouth watering lemonade, to the flour tortillas chips and salsa, Flautas, shredded beef tacos 🌮 and friendly staff, the comida (food) was absolutely delicioso 😋 I will be back!!!

This place was amazing! Small little restaurant with amazing service and food/drinks! We had fish tacos YUM, the homemade chips and salsa, were amazing, loved the Queso, margs were good! And if you want the sweetest server ever, ask for Kiana :)

We spent the day in Hana and doing hikes, so admittedly we were hungry. However, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of, and the food was fantastic.

We all had the taco plates, and everything (the chicken, beef, and pork) we're all good. The vegetables in the salsa were definitely fresh, and even the queso was really flavorful.

If we were back on this side of the island, I would definitely come back. Either way, I highly recommend the place and commend the management and staff for making sure we enjoyed the meal.

Fish tacos were excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. Some of the locals at the bar were loud and obnoxious at times, though friendly enough when we interacted with them. Worth the stop.

We came here on a rainy day because of a local recommendation and we were not disappointed. Everything was fresh. Service was friendly and helpful. Good stop in a beautiful town!

We got lost in the mountains trying to find the Lavender Farm, but it was a good thing we did. The town was quaint and artsy and this restaurant had excellent food. Our server wasn't the best but the food and atmosphere more than made up for it👍

This is a very enjoyable place in upcountry when you have a craving for Mexican food on Maui. The menu has a great variety, food is very good and plentiful for the price. Service was friendly and attentive. It’s a great, local-feeling place that is very welcoming.

Rating based on hoping for a local, friendly, good food, friendly service watering hole. Nothing fancy, but exactly what we wanted. Bar area was full of local characters, service was good, food was amazing. No beer on tap was a disappointment, but the top shelf Margherita at $12 was excellent. The nachos were also exceptional - almost too much toppings and $16!

My whole family went to Polli's last night for dinner because we were told this is where the locals go...OMG!! We were served more than enough food, it was authentic, the guacamole was smooth & creamy and the waitstaff was very accommodating & friendly. If I lived on the island I would be going back often. Great tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas. Also good for gluten free with the corn options . We were also supporting a locally owned business which we feel is important.

This taco enchilada plate I had has everything I wanted to try on a plate. Even though one portion is generous, I had to finish the plate since it’s "súper delicioso". 😂❤

This a wonderful small Mexican restaurant in Makawao Maui. Great service, happy people and so much Aloha. Had the Ono burrito was awesome and so filling. Highly recommended.

It is literally the best Mexican food I have ever had. Jalapeno poppers were soo delicious, the fajitas were just the best. Great service and totally worth it.

We stopped at this place after visiting Haleakala, off the main path back to the resort and well worth the stop over, we were greeted by an exceptionally friendly hostesses and the waitress was just as great! The food and drinks were awesome!! Do yourself a favor and make the stop

Ambiance you can't replicate anywhere else in the world. There's a magic about authentic local culture that Polli's exudes every day. Besides that, the food is amazing. The best fish tacos anywhere on the island or off.

Nice place to hang out with family and friends while enjoying some drinks and appetizers.

Highly recommend the Martini's as well as the steak tip/fries/mushroom plate and chips/dip.

Waitress was very attentive and nice.

Possibly the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The prices were impressive and the staff rocked!

The restaurant feels comfortable and the food is very good.
A local friend recommend the place, we enjoyed the margaritas and tacos before he drove me to the airport.

What an amazing place we stumbled upon. The staff was super friendly, the food was very fresh and delicious! Highly recommend this casual, fun Mexican restaurant. Must try the fish tacos 🌮! Will definitely come back on our next trip to Maui.
