Ulupalakua Ranch Store

An adventure for lunch. It’s a bit of a hike to get here in the car. We started from Kihei so it took an hour each way. Glad we stopped there because the burger was amazing and the drive was too. I had the lamb burger and it was delicious. My wife had the regular burger and that was good too!

First all of out cheeseburgers were excellent. One of us had elk while the rest had beef. Seasoned well and were very tasty. If you haven't been there before, you sit on picnic tables outside, make sure you wear a hat if you need one. If you're anywhere near and hungry, stop in. We will be back.

This place is excellent for a pit stop! We ordered the beef and venison burger, and they were both extremely delicious. They didn’t even drip juice all over one bit. Even though it was a little expensive, the taste made up for it. Will come back when we have the chance!

Best burger ever. Juicy, flavorful, cooked right in front of you fresh. Local and delicious. Mac salad was good too.

Located on the back road to Hana even if you don’t want to drive all the way to Hana this road is quite an experience on the residential area of Kula passing the ranches and farms.
This store is located across the Maui wine shop they do have fresh lamb or beef meat, you can customize your burger and it’s cooked on order.
Amazing farm to table experience.

If you are going to the upcountry this place is a must stop. We ate lunch here before heading over to the winery. The burgers were delicious and it was cool to try some of the local game meats. Don't miss out on the mac salad, the best we had on the island.

Nice stop on the south road when heading out or getting back from the long stretch to Hana. Food selection of drinks and available food once the Ranch opens for business. Nice views from picnic tables around the main building and access to porta-potties if needed.

This is the best burger place in Maui. Disclosure: I haven't tried every burger, and there may be better burgers places. It is a bit of a drive to get here, but it is so good. The meat has a genuine beefy taste. Before you go to Cheese Burger in Paradise, come here. There is more effort to get here, but it is worth it.

Such a great experience to eat here among the beautiful surroundings. The food was amazing, and my family enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful drive here through the rolling farm hills, cool store to browse at the ranch, and truly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, totally customizable, really enjoyed the fresh salad greens too.

An incredible drive to arrive at the Ulupalakua ranch. Some very unique gifts in the general store and in house made goodies. Then, a must do will be enjoying locally raised beef, lamb and only raised elk herd in the state of Hawaii, burgers. Great views to enjoy while eating.

A warm welcoming ranch store. As soon as you take a step in the store you feel the Aloha not only from the people but from the memorabilia photos throughout the store. You can feel the history in the area...

****FOOD! ELK burger medium well(left in pic), right is beef...best not to forget to get a side of their potato wedge fries! Get the fries crispy, don't worry the inside will still be moist. 5stars

The cost of the burgers are much worth it. I've paid more at other places and not many can compare.

The lamb burger and ribs were fantastic! Great stop on the road to Hana. If you are headed to Hana I believe that it is one of the last food stop areas too.

We learned about this upcountry stop from a travel video and had to check it out. The food is amazing (try the hamburger steak hot plate) and the outdoor dining area is a stunning visual oasis. Perfect place to unwind from a sightseeing adventure.

Great stop along the south road to/from Hana. Has sani-can bathrooms, a great little gift shop and Maui Wine tasting across the street.

Fantastic outpost! Excellent burgers, friendly staff, quick service. And the porta-potty is clean to boot! Would definitely visit again.

One of the best meals we had in Maui. This place was highly recommended by some locals we met and it was worth the drive up the mountain.
We both ordered the Kalbi ribs plate and it was delicious! If you are a tea drinker try a bottle Shaka Tea, the pineapple mint was my favorite.
