Harris Teeter

I wanted to leave this review because I was very pleased with the customer service at this store.

A few days ago, I asked the customer service desk if I could get some empty boxes in preparation for a move.
Unfortunately, they said they didn't have any because they had already bailed out all the boxes that day, but if I left my contact information, they would set aside the boxes I wanted as soon as they were ready.

As promised, someone from the branch called me two days later to say that the boxes were ready and to come pick them up.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to them for their kind follow-up.

Experienced exceptional service from Assistant Manager Jennifer today. She ran across the store to apologize for being out of the 5 gallon spring water (all other stores are out of stock as well). She then went out of her way to double check at the loading dock. Luckily some had just arrived. She then personally put them in a cart for me. That is 💯 awesome service.

Very clean and organized, they’re always restocked. I don’t shop a lot there because it’s not cost effective, however, their organic store brand items and fairly priced & I mainly go there to shop for those.
This organic fajita seasoning was $1! Cheaper than the name brand which is not even organic!

There are neatly organized display cases and friendly shop assistants.

Clean and well organized store. I love their wine selection and the T-bone steak prices are reasonable.

Great store. Not the most cheapest prices, but does have it's own bargains if you are prepared to shop. Sometimes their offers are better than Walmart!

Usually not so many service check-out lanes open. Mostly just Self Service, but the staff are quick and friendly.

I was standing in line, not in the self checkout aisle because I had 5 gallon water jugs that needed to be scanned differently. (I was returning two empty jugs) The guy manning the self checkout aisle, saw my jugs, knew why I was in the aisle, and took it upon himself to figure out if I *could* scan them there. He was unable to, but this really underscores the amazing customer service of Harris Teeter and why I will pass up two other grocery stores to shop here. I wish they were all more like this.

I love this store. Baffled by all the negative reviews coming up at the top. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful, especially at the pharmacy. There have been a couple of relatively recent cashier hires, obviously still working on learning the American way, who have no idea how to socialize or be friendly with the customers. But, the other ones who've been there a while are wonderful. I appreciate that their bananas are always ripe and ready to eat--they store the green ones under the counter until they are ready rather than forcing the customer to do so at home. They stock things that other grocery stores in the area do not and everything is easy to find so I don't have to spend an hour wandering the store while picking up the specific things on my list. They have lots of fun impulse buys, too. Plenty of organic options. And the prices are reasonable. Thank you so much, Harris Teeter! Luv ya!

I really like this store and have never had a bad experience. The meat/ seafood department always has a large selection of good quality meat and great cuts. The Butchers are very helpful and always friendly. Kevin the Butcher is a real cutie and very knowledgeable.😉

The staff at the Deli counter are great and one guy (wish I knew his name) really knows his stuff. I asked for a suggestion because I was tired of getting the same kind of deli meat. He suggested the Boars Head Bourbon ham and now I'm hooked; it's delicious!

HT used to have high prices compared to the Food Lion that closed in South Riding, but now I find them better priced than Walmart! They are so much more in line now which I appreciate. I love their $10 off $75 deals, their Sr.Cit. discounts on Thursdays, and their gas discounts. Good selection all around, VERY friendly and helpful staff. You have to sign up (for free) to be a VIP member and that's how you can really save money with them.

Awesome place to shop. They have a large variety of food. With a delicious hot bar thats pretty cost effective. A great wine selection and this is my go to grocery store to find anything I need on the go. I never spend more than 5 minutes waiting to be rang up or waiting in the self checkout line! 5 stars

I've been going to this Harris Teeter since it opened. Currently, It has great sales on $1.00 vegetable packs for a quick side dish. The are found near the rotisserie chicken warmer and potatoes. You can count on a good assortment of organic food and a great wine selection. The bathrooms are always clean and there are tables for sales after holidays near the pharmacy and the check out aisle.
The meat and seafood dept is pretty good. They have sales on frozen uncooked large sized shrimp.

This store has the best staff. The meat/butcher department is outstanding and is always willing to help! It’s almost like having an old fashioned butcher shop with someone who will advise you on which cut is best for dinner. Plus I have bad hands so after I buy something they will cut it up for me.

Their deli and bakery team are awesome! They have the best pastries and bread selections in te area. Their butcher and deli also have a great selection. 5 stars for their service level too, they are always helpful. I walked in today, looking for fresh baguettes, they baked some for me fresh.

Harris Teeter is fantastic, has great access to handicap needs. I always find what I need with the help of the staff. Everyone has a need when they visit any type of business. I like friendly staff because the pain I endure daily is enough. The Harris Teeter staff is well train in customer satisfaction. I recommend this store to anyone who like to be treated with a smile as you come in. 100% ❤❤❤❤❤

Love this Harris Teeter and go frequently for lunch. The salad bar is always fresh, there is a good selection of sushi (would love more poke bowl options), and the baked goods are tasty. I often go through the self check-out and Mary always thanks me as I leave.

Absolutely love this store. Sale prices amazing, customer service amazing, food selections amazing. I have been looking for these small donut shaped peaches for years and finally found them here!

A negative turned to a positive. Placed and online catering order a month of an event. Called two weeks before to ensue the order was received. Called the night before to review the order. Got a confirmation email the morning of saying the order was ready. Once we arrived a third of the order was ready, they had to get a second part but they were missing a tray of food. They were completely unaware of it. We were in a strict time line to go set up for the party we were hosting, and did not have the 20-30 minutes they estimated it would take to get the platter ready. So we had to leave with out it. The more I farther I drove away, the more upset I got- I had done everything right, the ball just got dropped. Called HT, the manager said it would be brought to where we needed it, and it would be at no charge. Wow! Amazing- entirely fixed the issue!!! An hour later, it showed up at our event, and even had a gift card with it. Above and beyond!

Neat & clean Teeter with friendly staff and great inventory. I often shop here early in the morning before work as they are open 24 hours a day.
Their order online - pickup at store program is great too! The attendant will load your groceries directly into your car.

I love the friendly atmosphere of the staff members from Harris Teeter. They have handicap parking and entrance as well. I can find the vegetarian items needed for my diet and a variety of fruit and vegetables. Awesome store.👍👍👍
