On holiday in Clunton so dropped in here for a pint. It's a lovely old pub that seems very popular with the locals. I was given an excellent couple of pints of real ale. Very good service from Michelle behind the bar who has a fantastic memory and is very entertaining. They have a really nice dining room and the food we had there was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Compliments to the chef. Parking is just over the road with plenty of space.

How lovely to go to a country pub and get such a warm welcome, great food and atmosphere! Obviously very popular amongst the local community, and no wonder. Lovely lady Tennant with so much personality.

Wow what a fantastic pub.
Great selection of beer and wine, really friendly atmosphere, Michelle made us feel very welcome. The food here is breathtaking, the fish we had was so fresh and tasty and the chips are to die for. Would definitely recommend but if you want to eat make sure you book.

My favourite pub in all the west, exceptional food, excellent drinks, attention to quality and detail that goes above and beyond and a dash of comfy quirkiness to boot, I absolutely recommend to anyone passing through the area for food and company that you'll not forget! We recently enjoyed a meal as a family to celebrate an anniversary - we were taken care of and spoilt rotten! Five stars all round.

On holiday in the area & googled for good places to eat & found The Crown In Clunton nearby . So very glad we found it! Sharing platters for Saturday lunch, so seafood platter & a portion of their baked potato chips. Wow! What a choice. Everything was delicious and there was plenty for both of us. Wish more eateries would do things like this. The staff were friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the small bar area. Can’t speak too highly of this lovely hostelry.

Had the fish platter to share this afternoon in the dining room and it was lovely - the lady host was also spot on with service and help, Michelle I think she was called. A must try and the chips are famous apparently...... very nice 🙂

We were staying near Clun for the weekend and booked a table at this lovely pub on Saturday night . The landlady Michelle was so friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Can definitely recommend steak night at the Crown and the most delicious chips. We will definitely be back.

A friendly and very-COVID-safe lunch stop. Great real cider from Long Mynd cider, pleasant scotch egg and super-local charcuterie provided by Shropshire Salumi. Dining is currently only outside. Lots of open-air tables and three covered tables. Table service only. We felt really welcome and the chair/tables worked well despite the roadside setting. Thank you, Michelle et al!

Lovely village pub, great cask ales, beautifully kept and some amazing bar snacks. We tried the Black pudding scotch eggs, pork pies and salami and all three were superb.

We happen to be in a B&B within a short distance from the the Crown Inn so booked dinner for two nights. What a refreshing change to have a pub that you can really relax in. It has a great atmosphere with lots of friendly local’s who are proud to be a part of this jewel . It’s all down to the wonderful cheeky Michelle who runs her bar like ..well you’ll see for yourself she has personality plus.
The food blows the mind by being absolutely different . Chef (Blaine) has a wonderful ability to turn out the most amazing dishes . My favourite being the duck followed by his tantalising milk chocolate cheese cake.. we’ll be back . 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Chris and Jenny from Dorset.

Went here for Sunday lunch. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming even though it was our first visit. Lunch was probably among the best we have ever had. Good selection of real ales. It is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and obviously popular with the locals. We will be back!!

Absolutely fantastic drinks and meal this evening … the local beer was spot on, the veg and fish dishes were superb, dessert of white chocolate cheesecake was terrific. Do not pass this place without stopping and spending … you won’t regret it.
