Popped in twice during our stay locally. Just the best! Didn’t have lunch but they looked amazing. Had incredible turmeric and ginger cake, awesome breakfast slices. Wish we lived nearer!

We were on the lookout for a cafe to sit and plan our walk. Noticed this gorgeous little spot opposite the car park in Clun, and went in for tea and cake.

Highly recommend the turmeric and ginger cake. It was AMAZING. They have lots of outdoor and indoor seating. The staff are lovely.

They also made us some fantastic baguettes to take for lunch on our walk. It was a great start to our weekend and if we come back this way, we will stop here!

Friendly staff, nice coffee and beautiful location. Sat outside and watched the world go by and was even given treats for the dog. Only had a coffee, but will definitely stop by again and try some delicious looking cake next time.

Had a delicious late lunch here today. The team working here were lovely and we were able to sit inside with our dog which was brilliant after the 5 mile walk we just completed.

We had the pork pie platter and the cheese baguette. "Cheese baguette is really under selling it though, unusual bread, decent cheddar and lovely hone made side salad and coleslaw. The platter was made up of really good quality and HUGE pork pie.

We also took a piece of the turmeric and ginger cake home for later on with a brew which was moist and delicious.

If we manage to move to Shropshire, we'll be back!!!

Charming wee cafe beside the river, with indoor and outdoor seating. After hearing some recommendations from our friendly waitress, we shared a pork pie platter and a ham and cheese baguette.
The pork pie platter was super tasty, with nibbles including cheese, slaws, chutneys, small samosa, ham, salad and bread. Everything was delicious and fresh.
The star of the show was the local Shropshire bread used in the ham and cheese baguette, which was really lovely and malty.
We’d definitely stop again if passing nearby.

Yep, the ginger and turmeric cake was amazing, although the ham and cheese baguette (home made dark brown and malty) was also superb. Have cash though. Digital unreliable.

We sat outside and had coffee and a cake after visiting the castle. Service was pleasant and there was an interesting menu but I couldn’t resist the coffee and walnut cake. Absolutely superb and delicious cake! Nice coffee too and a very pleasant place to take a break.

What a great place! Great staff and atmosphere. Staff really went the extra mile for some folk who wanted to socially isolate outside. I sat inside and earwigged on what sounded like an episode of 'The Archers' prepping for their Christmas Review. Oh and probably the best Lemon Drizzle Cake in Shropshire/Herefordshire

I have scored high but in fairness we were not there long it was the end of the day after a walk around the area. Somewhere we had not been before. We only had ice cream but the atmosphere was great the service very friendly. We will be back for more walking but plan to start the walk with a visit here to fully sample the menu which read great the ice cream was lovely ginger snd turmeric for me

This is such a unique café. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I went in for a coffee and was served with a delightful filter coffee, no flat white or cappuccinos here. Just good quality tasty coffee! I also ate a delicious sausage roll. This set me up for a wonderful walk afterwards and I look forward to my next visit.

We came across this charming coffeeshop quite by accident - and it was a very happy accident - the shop itself has a wonderful, inviting atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the coffee and home-made cake is well worth dropping in for. If I ever have my own coffee shop, it will be like the Post Card Cafe!

Excellent cafe in the village next to the river. Welcoming staff. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Even one set up on the river bank. Had a Lebanese inspired Turmeric and ginger cake which was extremely tasty. Highly recommended.

Really liked the fact it was half book/clothes and food shop. The description of the cakes was great, the actual cakes were even better! Also you can sit by the river, or inside which is also an interesting place to look around. That and the castle, walks, river and the nice pub in town make Clun a great place to visit.
