Fabulous place to dine in Varenna, the food was exquisite, all the dishes sound amazing and it is hard to pick - would recommend the 4 course menu to enjoy as many incredible dishes as possible. The clam risotto was fabulous. As was the steak tartare.

This is a gem of a restaurant with lovely views, great service and spectacular food. The chef loved talking about this creation that he made at home and decided to bring to the restaurant. It was the most flavorful risotto we've ever had.

Lovely hidden gem in Lorenna, the staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. The black truffle ravioli and gnocchi were fantastic! House white was beautiful, not to mention the views! Thanks!

Wonderful restaurant in Varenna. Unbeatable view from the terrace right on the lake! Large menu with plenty of amazing dishes to choose from and the staff were great. The hotel/restaurant staff were particularly hospitable to us as they knew we were supposed to have our wedding dinner at their restaurant back in 2020, which of course was cancelled. I can't express how wonderfully they treated us when we arrived in 2021! Will return to this restaurant when I'm back at Lake Como.

Amazing dinner! We are major foodies so that means a lot. We chose two starters and two main dishes. Tartare, ravioli, filet, and duck. Eating with the stunning views of Lake Como was divine!

Wow wow wow - best view for dinner. Amazing food we did the 3 course dinner for 50 euro. It was excellent and the staff amazing. If in Varenna a must visit.

Nice setting, good food and wine. Friendly service. The menu is vegetarian friendly and they have some chilli available on request.
Only issue for me is average tiramisu, and was hoping for better however members of my party returned to Varenna to have the tournedos Rossini again! (fillet steak)

La Vista is the gem of Varenna for hungry vegans. We enjoyed one of the best dinners of our trip - and it was quite a surprise because we didn’t think there were any restaurants here that were so vegan friendly. They literally have a “Vegan/Vegetarian Corner” page on their menu and there were 5 vegan options. My pasta and my wife’s seitan steak were absolutely delicious. I feel compelled to mention that the bread was so good: it had little pieces of red and green peppers and was a little spicy! We are only sad that we discovered this restaurant on our last night in Varenna…otherwise we would have eaten here every night! By the way, the view is excellent as well!

Vegan! I was SO HAPPY to find incredible vegan food in Varenna. I am vegan and gluten free (wheat allergy, but not celiac) and had two courses. Both were delicious.

The vegan salmon is from their dedicated veg menu. I’ve never had real salmon but this was awesome, and I was grateful to finally get some vegan protein in Italy.

Second course, the server suggested that they modify the risotto for me since the main courses on the veg option had wheat. It was rich, flavorful and delicious.

Really appreciated the attentive and kind service overall. They went above and beyond.

The view of the lake is also great. 😍 Hidden gem.

Beautiful location, delicious food en the best service! The waitresses took their time to talk to us and made us feel welcome. Even the owner came to our table and told us about the wines and he recommended us the most delicious local wine we had on the trip! Thanks again for this great experience, we had our best evening this summer at La Vista.

Varenna is in my opinion the most picturesque village on Lake Como. This is our second visit on the lake since 2016 and plan to keep returning as often as possible. Had coffee & prosecco here after a few hours of walking around, the view is simply breathtaking. We love Lago di Como!

Spectacular view of Como lake. Owner was a very nice host. Delicious food in large portions. Mix free 3 or 4 course menus from the card at fixed, reasonable prices. Good atmosphere.

10/10 - arrived early for lunch and had a superb view of Como and the town.

Food was the best we have had around the lake and appreciated the vegan/vegetarian menu offering as well.

Service was kind and attentive.

Absolutely incredible meal. Opted for the 4 course menu. Numerous choices. Eclectic menu. Portions were much larger than expected so be hungry. Wonderful flavors, wonderful service. Did I mention the view?

Absolutely amazing meal, best of our stay. Extensive wine list offering great wines by the glass so can try a few! The trio of creme brûlée are worth keeping a bit of room for! Impeccable service with wonderful host. Can't fault it.

This place is the trifecta: it has amazing views, great food, and excellent service. Though it is still the busy season in Varenna, the maitre'd kindly gave us a table after someone had cancelled a reservation. All the servers were so nice, and so attentive. They were efficient, but unobtrusive, and all spoke excellent English (helpful, because we speak embarrassing Italian!) We really liked the house red wine, which comes from grapes grown not far away. The amuse bouche was a nice touch, and the insalata mista was very fresh. I really enjoyed my pumpkin gnocchi with butter and sage, and my husband had perfectly prepared fresh water bass with mashed sweet potato. Oh, and the whole grain bread they brought to the table was some of the best I've had in Italy! To top it off, there was an amazing sunset! (But you could also top it off with one of their amazing desserts. Unfortunately, we were too full by then.) And if you are vegetarian or vegan, they have many options.

Loved everything about our dining experience here! We booked a bit late so only the side terrace was available. But the views were still amazing from there, and it felt more private than the main deck. Our waiters were the kindest and most spectacular humans. We had ceviche, stuffed hen, filet, Barbaresco that was divine, and some Nebbiolo grappa that was recommended for dessert. Will definitely recommend to friends and be back ourselves someday
