Great service, amazing location with a balcony with lake and town views. Located very close to downtown, the ferry and waterfront. Room was very clean and the complimentary breakfast was delicious.

Wanted to call out the excellent staff at this hotel - Mateo, who met us at the desk, provided tips on the local beaches and experiences and was a fantastic intro to Varenna. He was patient and kind through some booking miscommunication, which was meaningful after a long and painful train ride to Varenna starting at 5 am. Showing us to our room, he explained all details, provided a map and showed us the routes to the ferry, and was extremely polite and awesome. The room was what we needed with strong AC and electronic blinds for limiting the heat of the room while out and about exploring, a nice shower for post-swimming, and an excellent location for crashing after Hugos and Limoncello spritzes. 10/10 and serious props to Mateo.

A gem. Albergo Beretta is fantastic value for money with its large, clean bedrooms, and brilliant location right next to Lake Como. More than happy to stay here again if a place is needed in Varenna.

In winter this place literally saved us - there is a bar/cafe on the first floor. People are very friendly and welcoming. They helped us to find a taxi, made us delicious panini. All the best and thank you so much!!!

The room and bathroom were very clean and smelled nice. The staff were welcoming and let us drop our bags before it was time to check in. Breakfast was also very good and included a variety of items and any coffee we wanted from the bar. Location is very close to the train station, ferry stop, and to the main square in varenna. Would definitely recommend if staying in varenna!

Very friendly staff here, very accomadating. Room with balcony was spotless and very spacious. Huge bedroom and bathroom. Everything was perfect and handy location also. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel. Clean rooms, helpful friendly staff .Why this has 1 * !?? I have 0 idea. Breakfast is maybe in need of a re vamp . Ham and cheese, cereal yoghurt pastry, orange juice.
A variation of ham and cheese??? Maybe.
Every day I hear people say this is the best hotel they have stayed in here. Food and service top marks.

Cute little hotel in gorgeous Varenna. Our room was on the second floor which is renovated and super clean and had a big balcony with a beautiful view!

What an amazing place to stay. Lovely breakfast, clean rooms, lovely coffee shop downstairs with the best hot chocolate. Barbara was very gracious and informative

Loved this place! We had free breakfast which was so good (they even let us eat after the cut off period). The people were so nice, they helped us get parking and were very sweet. Amazing location very close to the water and the ferry.

I wandered in here on Sunday morning when most of the town was closed. I had approx 3000 tonnes of luggage and had an hour or so to kill before I got the train . I was immediately created by helpful friendly staff and enjoyed the best latte macchiato I've ever had to date . Truly great warm service . They clearly take pride in the their little business .

Our stay here was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was sufficiently spacious and clean. All in all, a very good price/quality ratio.

We had a lovely time at Hotel Beretta while we stayed in Varenna for the weekend, the staff were super welcoming and helpful and made our stay so homely and enjoyable. The room was lovely and had a nice view, grazie :)

Much better than we expected. Large balcony, comfy bed. Needs more drawers and shelves in the room.
